I was not happy with my dealings/communications with one of the members of the staff here. Strongly think he forgot thst I was a prospect buyer and therefore a customer regardless of who his client was. He got a little carried away justifying his point and I had to cut our communication shorter than I would have liked.

Great service from Gaby at Stags in Honiton. We tried another agent first but they were pretty useless - they over valued the property just to get our business. Stags were very professional, gave us good advice and introduced a steady stream of people to view our property. When we eventually got a buyer, Gaby worked tirelessly to bring everything to a succesful conclusion. We feel they really earned their fee.

Rude and disrespectful

On the hunt for a rental property- applied for one through stags and they made the decision that said property was “too small” for me and my family even though it has a more than adequate amount of space. Refused a viewing and refused to speak any further about the matter. Unprofessional and strange behaviour, rude to deal with on the phone and even though I am absolutely desperate to find a rental home with a good sized budget, I would rather stay where I am than deal with Stags again. Avoid!

Exeter branchTerrible at following up. Viewed a property on a Saturday and did not hear back from them on Monday. I had to phoned them to book a second viewing which was not a big deal.After the second viewing I said I would put an offer in the next day but again never got a call from them. I phoned again to make an offer. Again no big deal.However, I never heard anything from them ever since! Not even an update on whether my offer has been rejected! I found out the property was sold on Rightmove 2 days after I placed my offer. I do not usually leave any reviews but I found this unacceptable. I felt disrespected. I did not even put in a low ball offer. My offer matched the asking! No reason to treat your potential buyer like this. Will never have anything to do with Stags in the future.

Stags are racists and I hate that they take through the viewing process yet knowing that they won't give you the property because of colour just wasting people's time but if you are white I can recommend you there but if not don't even waste your time.poor service in the market

I spent, the who of Christmas without heating or running water , I reported a leak on 19th Dec22, when I was promised a plumber the next day , no one turned up, when I rang the Office they had all gone on Christmas leave, Finally on Jan 4th I managed to get hold of some one, the leak was fixed on 7th Jan, I still have no Bathroom as the flooring needs replacing and the work is not finished. I was left to Freeze alone without support, when I challenged the company no reply just brushed off, without an apology. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!

Don’t trust these sites.I was persuaded buy Stags estate agents to buy through Bamboo auctions on Friday, I did buy a parcel of land agreed at 67k and paid a £5,600 deposit. On Monday Stags called me to say they had an admin error and that I should pay another 10 k even though contracts had been exchanged and the land was sold. Don’t trust Stags estate agents.

Stags have just sold our property and their service was great. Team effort but our main contact was Jon who kept in regular contact and kept the sale moving, we felt fully informed though-out. Not the cheapest but I'd rather pay a little extra and know I'm going to get the service and sell my house.

Stay away from stags.

I’d heard bad things about stage before I rented through them but I’d not realised how bad they would be. I was told (yelled at is more accurate) in November that the severe mould in my flat was my fault and that I should open my windows and get rid of a lot of my stuff! The mould was clearly eternal and was a problem in the rest of the building, I asked the other tenants in the complex what it was like and they had very similar stories. I was yelled at and spoken to with such little decency by them I was shocked. I complained multiple times but nothing was done. They had no emergency numbers should the situation arrive as it did for me when my fuse box blew and the hot water stopped working all in 1 day, as it was a Saturday I had to wait until the Monday to get it fixed. If I could describe this estate agency in a few words they would be - rude, incompetent, unprofessional and awful. I would never recommend to rent or buy through them, I would certainly never do so again. Stay away from them and tell as many people as possible to do the same.

Renting through Stags. I have been impresed with the professionalism of the company itself. I would give stags more stars..but We are having some problems with maintenance in and around the house. I have been into branch a number of times to be told they would get in touch with people to sort it. However I am still waiting to be contacted to have the work booked in. It might well be the workmen at fault here but at the end of the day I'm paying my rent fees in full on time and expect a better overall experience. I have been trying to get things sorted out since we moved into the property in October. We had an issue with privacy at the beginning which has since been delt with. Workmen and the landlady gave no notice of there visits letting themselves in! Builders Tools and equipment had been left in the garage even on the day we were moving all of our stuff in. We had to stack everything out of the way for the builder. After a number of repair attempts from a plumber we are still unable to use the shower, taps including the shower drip, I have had to unblock a sink, one of the storage heater makes a whistleing noise, the TV sockets are not working and outside the fence in the back garden is falling down.

Just moved out from Honiton, and Stags were our estate agents for renting. They gave us everything we needed when moving in and out and have always been helpful. However, since moving away and using a different estate agents, we have discovered a system (Signable) where you can sign everything online and there is no paperwork at all (and is kept there forever so is always accessible, which means no folders full of contracts). In the future I will be looking for estate agents that provide this as it makes life so much easier.
