I honestly can not thank the team at Williams and Donovan enough for all their help the past couple of months especially the wonderful Denise. My situation wasnt the easiest and due to my own circumstances we hit quite a few road blocks however Denise and the team never gave up and made me feel at ease. In my eyes they went above and beyond. They made every step of the process as easy as they could, reassuring me constantly and making sure I wasnt worrying. They never made me feel like I was asking for too much and never gave up on me and what I needed. For a first time renter I can say they have kept me updated, helped me understand the process and never made any question I had feel stupid. The home I have is so lovely I feel very lucky. Thank you all and thank you Denise for your belief in me and my situation it means alot!

Denise is a credit to William and Donovan. She is so lovely to liaise with. She has really made us so happy with the whole process of viewing to being accepted. Easy enough process with the referencing and Denise always kept us up to date with everything. Always answered even if I did call many times. I would highly recommend their services to anyone who is lucky enough to get a property through them. I would advise prospective tenants to think carefully before renting through Williams & Donovan in Hockley based on our experience. Throughout my partners tenancy, he never missed a rent payment and looked after the property as if it were his own. When he moved out, the flat was left in excellent condition. It was professionally cleaned and, as he works as a painter and decorator, he also redecorated the entire flat before leaving. The property had white carpets, and the only issue identified was a very faint mark on the bedroom carpet. Given the colour and normal use of the property, we felt this fell within reasonable wear and tear. Unfortunately, he experienced significant difficulties when trying to recover his deposit. (Note...The landlord is a staff member at the letting agent) We felt that numerous reasons were given to justify deductions, and there was also an attempt to seek an additional month's rent, which we strongly disputed. Overall, I found the end-of-tenancy process stressful and disappointing. My experience left me feeling that I was not treated fairly despite taking good care of the property and fulfilling all of my responsibilities as a tenant. Be cautious

Today 15th November I had to call Williams & Donovan because I had NO hot water. I spoke to Lily at about 9 am who was very professional & polite. She told me she would sort this out for me & call me back. Lily called me & told me someone will be round at 3pm. Steve turned up at 3 did the job professionally & cleaned & tidied up after himself. I was really impressed with the service I received from both Lily & Steve so much so that I wanted to leave this review. Professionalism, Quality, Responsiveness & Value. We asked RightMove for a valuation and met with five local Estate Agents, all of whom visited and appraised our property. 4/5 gave valuations of a similar level; the other was much lower. We had 4 agents to choose from but we went with W&D and would highly recommend them. Lloyd was very knowledgeable; he appreciated the extra things we had installed and how they would affect the valuation compared to other properties of the same size. By all means have a couple of valuations, but W&D were confident they could sell our home quickly and 4 days after going online we accepted an asking price offer so they were not wrong. We were very happy with the quality service they provided.

My Dad, Aunt and I all dealt with Williams and Donovan in order to facilitate my Dad’s move just before Christmas. From the beginning, Mark Toomey and his colleagues were all highly professional, prompt, informative and a pleasure to deal with. My Dad is disabled and was in and out of hospital during the build up to his move, and in what was considered a tricky situation Williams and Donovan provided us with so much care and attention at all times; On the day of completion my Aunt and I were welcomed into their offices as we waited for keys to be handed in despite to obvious worries regarding coronavirus, and Mark has even asked after my Dad in the weeks following what was a successful move. We have purchased our new property via William & Donovan. The service has been AMAZING from point of contact. We have mainly dealt with Denise who has been attentive and informative throughout. We have had a lot of problems at the bottom of the chain and without Denise’s perseverance we honestly feel that the chain would have collapsed. Tom (W & D Hockley) came to value our property. Unlike some other agents, he wasn’t pushy or forceful but really professional and knowledgeable and we were very pleased with the photographs that he took. Then Denise looked after us from beginning to end and she was absolutely brilliant keeping us updated with regular progress reports. She was patient, kind, empathetic and really knew her stuff. Thank you Denise for all your help and support. We would also like to say thank you to Paul who looked after us while Denise was on annual leave. He really had his work cut out towards the end of our sale with unresponsive parties at the beginning of the chain but his dogged determination resulted in a satisfactory outcome. All in all the whole team at Hockley were great; always answering the telephone in a polite, courteous manner, passing on messages in a timely manner to ensure that phone calls were returned promptly. I started at 18 where as a lot of places wouldn't consider me they gave me extra help.
