We had a really lovely, friendly experience with Seymours Estate Agents in Dorking. Emma, the agent who helped us with our purchase of a beautiful cottage in Mickleham, was so nice to deal with. Seymours Knaphill have been excellent. Staff were friendly and supportive at all times. They achieved a quick sale and then worked tirelessly to keep viewings going after the first sale fell through, so it wasn't long before we had a second offer.Seymours have a dedicated 'back room' team, which means that the agents can focus on the task of getting your property sold. This works very well.

Buying and selling properties is undoubtedly stressful. I found the initial meeting very friendly and positive. In retrospect, I think the price set was too high and I should have improved the bungalow before putting it on the market. I think the fact ‘it needed a lot of work’ led to loss of potential buyers and the drop in price needed to sell 7/8 months later was much greater than the amount of money required to upgrade. I guess we all hoped for a quick sale.Seymour’s undoubtedly worked hard to show many potential buyers the property for which I’m grateful.Once a buyer’s offer had been accepted there were many queries and I was not reassured that as a result of further surveys etc that the buyer was committed until out of the blue they wanted to complete the sale within the week. Exchange or completion dates hadn’t been discussed. Maybe a solicitor issue.However I felt forced to accept an early completion date which made things very difficult to arrange clearing and cleaning of the house and garden.We managed to do this working around the clock and I handed the keys in to Seymours and was met with frankly a disappointingly under whelming response. I thought estate agents usually made completion date a special occasion with flowers etc for the parties concerned! Clearly I am out of date.
Thanks for the review Alison. Whilst we try to make every property journey as pleasurable as possible, there are always bumps in the road, many of which are out of our control. Nonetheless, every completion is a success despite how hard it may have been to get there and that alone should be a celebration for all parties. Without such reviews we would never know the areas we need to improve on, so again, thank you for sharing with us, and we apologise for the disappointing completion.

Fantastic experience start to finish. 3 months from viewing to completion thanks to fast acting staff which surpassed all expectations. Incredibly helpful and quick with emails - responding to all of my (many, and potentially silly) questions as a first time buyer. Constantly checking in to make sure everything was going smoothly, and following up quickly on enquiries.
