GoogleVery good service and understood our situation. They kept us informed of the progress regarding our buyers and are keeping in touch with our solicitor. House went on market on a Friday and within 24 hours it was sold.

GoogleWe used Scrivens & Co to sell our parents home after bereavement. We chose them as we had positive experience of renting property through them in the recent past. They were supportive throughout the process and listened to our views, reacting accordingly. Communication was good and they kept us up to date with viewings, feedback and offers. The property has now sold and they tied up everything with the buyers and solicitors. Thank you.

GoogleThank you, dear agency, because after 3 weeks you didn't give us a chance to at least apply, you postpone and reject us every time we asked you to give us the application form, even though it wasn't sent to us! discrimination and racism on the face and the behavior with which we were approached when visiting the house, or at least we should be offered an apology, or the opportunity to choose another house, seeing us with a small child, but on the contrary I think that the child put us at a disadvantage! bad, very bad experience!

GoogleAbsolutely shocking and the worst experience I have ever had with an estate agents. Was given incorrect information about a property and so missed out on the opportunity to purchase. Was told they were not accepting offers until the auction, only to find an offer had been accepted as I had been told the property auction date wasn't decide as a boundary issue was in progress on the property. Staff giving out misleading and incorrect information pertaining to a property is entirely unprofessional and unacceptable.

As the front garden was missing from the title plan, the auction partner had not yet opened the bidding or set an auction end date. Unfortunately in the meantime an interested party made an unconditional offer directly to our auction partner. As discussed on the phone we are sorry that you missed out on this house and can appreciate your frustration. We hope that we can assist you with another suitable property in the future.

GoogleScrivins made our first house purchase one of the most confusing and stressful times. Being told we couldn’t view the property until after its first round at auction as we “weren’t eligible” thankfully it didn’t sell so we viewed straight after the 1st auction ended. Then being told we couldn’t put an offer in, we ended up taking matters into our own hands. Had our offer secured and labelled as STC only for this property to go up for auction 4 times more after having our offer accepted and paperwork sent to solicitors. Fast forward to the day of key collection being told we couldn’t pick up the keys until they heard from the sellers solicitors, after pestering them about collecting they finally realised that they “missed an email” so we could of collected earlier that morning. The very example of “if you want a job doing. Do it yourself”

At the end of the auction period the vendor accepted your offer via private treaty, and we marked the property as sold subject to contract. Regretfully, the property remained on our auction partner’s website. Unfortunately as I wasn’t in the office on completion day, the solicitors received my out of office reply. We hope that you can accept our apology and that you are settling into your new home.

GoogleThe staff at Scrivens & Co. have arranged viewings for the property promptly, followed through with feedback and started again when things have fallen through. My daughter has had to chase up progress but e-mailed replies have been by return. Scrivens have been in constant contact with the buyers and both sets of solicitors pushing things along. I am happy to recommend them.

GoogleMy house went on the market at lunchtime one Saturday in 2021 after the Scrivins representative had measured up, took photos and prepared the advert on Friday. The asking price was a fair value and more than met my expectations and hopes. The house was sold after the second viewing by close of play the following Tuesday. They say that moving house is one of the more stressful things that you can do in life and so it proved to be. However, none of the issues encountered were to do with either my property or buyer. Throughout it all, the staff at Scrivins remained calm, postive and professional and helped me get through my difficulties. I'm now enjoying my new home in Cornwall but to those people looking to buy or sell property in the Hinckley area, I would have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending Scrivins.PositiveResponsiveness, Quality, Professionalism, Value

GoogleEventhough communications between Scrivins and I have not always been the best, I'm going to score them a 5 for not trying to keep my deposit. They paid back the full money without any hassle. I was very impressed. I have an advice for people while working with agents; be wary of the seemingly nice ones! The nicer they are, the more devilish they are likely to be. Scrivins were not all smiley and nice but they've earned my respect.

GoogleArranged a viewing for a property to find that after travelling for an hour and half, no one had come to carry out the viewing. This was out of office hours so I was unable to contact them. This has left me out of pocket and very upset and stressed at 5 months pregnant. Avoid. ETA: Scrivens did reimburse me for the costs incurred and were very apologetic. I do feel this this could have been avoided as they had left it down to the tenants to perform the viewing. In future, I feel it would be better if they sent the landlord or a member of staff to perform viewings, or have a point of contact if outside of office hours.

GoogleExcellent service from start to finish from Scrivins. We had various issues with the landlord and their solicitor as the property is a shared ownership. Scrivins were always on the ball and nothing was too much trouble. We lost two buyers due to shared ownership issues but Scrivins always found new buyers quickly and worked with us on viewings and communications. Special thanks go to Lydia and Alisha who have been excellent through this long journey.
We have lots of experience of selling shared ownership properties, and they do tend to take a little longer. Thankyou for your patience, and we are so pleased that this completed!
