I'm a very blunt person who knows what he wants. Honestly I can say Scrivens is an amazing group of professionals who will always help if they can. I was with another agent last year and I had less viewings for the year than we had by lunch on the launch day with Scrivens! We had to remove (temporarily) my house from the market due to the influx of enquiries, which they dealt with very quickly and professionally. It sold in less than a week, getting the price I wanted. Now during the sale they're still very much involved and any questions or concerns I have are dealt with either same day or by lunch the next day (exc Sunday) To sum it up "awesome staff make the whole process very easy!"PositiveResponsiveness, Quality, Professionalism

We have recently sold our house with Becky at Scrivins & Co, quite honestly, we wouldn’t had sold it without her continued support and professional guidance. We sold our house within 2 weeks of Scrivins & Co marketing it for us, the process from initial enquiry to on market was smooth and swift, the photos and description truly reflected the property and gave us every confidence we could secure the market value in a short period of time. At all time in the initial process we felt informed of actions taken and where we were in the process. Becky and the team took control of booking viewings and ensuring that we only had serious potential buyers make appointments that were kept and carried out in COVID-19 safe conditions. Feedback from viewings was provided within 24 hours which allowed us to understand the buyers needs. Once we secured the sale Becky ensured that we understood the process and what to expect in terms of the legal process from her experience. This is when the support really kicked in! The sale was secured within 2 weeks, however the trial and tribulations of the selling and buying during a pandemic were way over and above what we expected. We had ongoing issues with our buyers buyers mortgage and other concerns, even though this wasn’t in anyway part of the service required from Scrivins & Co Becky was always on hand to answer questions, chase information and provide updates to try and put our minds at ease. I can honestly say that in the week leading up to the exchange and completion I had pretty much lost all hope of the sale going through but Becky kept the faith and remained confident that it would come good. This was a solicitors matter not an estate agents issue but Becky was brilliant throughout going above and beyond to ensure that we have now completed our move to our new home made possible by Becky and Scrivins & Co. If (and we wont be for many many years) we were to move again I wouldn’t hesitate to use Scrivins & Co again and would highly recommend them to others looking to sell or buy property. We choose to work with Scrivins during Covid as wanted to support a locally run family business and after interviewing 3 estate agents, opted to work with them to manage the rental of our property, as we felt the service would be excellent. We were so was wrong …. Whilst we appreciate that the governmental rules really do favour the tenants, we thought that the estate agent would be supportive to both tenant and landlord. Sadly we did not find this to be the case. Living overseas you have to put your trust in the company you have appointed to manage your property to be supportive, communicative and proactive, and yet, we could not have been more disappointed if we tired. Emails would go half answered, if they didn’t like was what being asked it just got ignored. We didn’t get the yearly report and pictures as promised, but if there was a problem with the property they would be on the phone, emails and WhatsApp message to get of these resolved for their tenants. We were good landlords and had any issues fixed timely. We believed that if we looked after our tenants well they would look after our property. We were blessed and had the same tenants until we decided to sell, and we believe that this was a reflection of us ensuring they had a nice home, with any issues fixed timely and with consideration to their family needs etc. For what we thought was ease, we opted to sell our property with them and again remained disappointed at this process to. To be told that most of the viewing they couldn’t be bothered to attend, was very frustrating, but this did make sense as to why they were unable to give any detailed feedback on most viewings, as they weren’t there. They advised us to give our tenants notice as we wanted to sell, and it would be easier for them to sell this way. So reluctantly we agreed to this resulting in the property lying vacant for a few months - not ideal from our point of view, but again we felt we had no choice as they seemed unable to sell it with a a lovely family in situ! Then they advised us that our tenant had found somewhere to live and recommended that we agree to one weeks notice for the tenant to move out and strongly suggested we shouldn’t charge the one months rent notice that they should have paid as per the contract . We had dutifully abided by all the points on our contract through-out the 3 years rental period, but strange that it didn’t seem to work the other way. So for ease and just loosing the will to live, we just agreed, as it was all becoming super stressful. Finally we sold our property and equally not a great experience with the Scrivins team, it really does sadden us that we don’t feel confident to recommend their property management or selling services to anyone else. We never felt valued during the rental or selling process, only during thier ‘pitching process’ to work with them! Living overseas they expected us to know all the governmental rules and were made to feel stupid on occasions when we didn’t know about a rule of regulation - all were were told is the tenant this and the tenant that… I did ask where do we sit with all this, to which there’s was little response and they made us feel like we were being a pain! From a customer service point of view I don’t recall any yearly thank you’s for your business emails, merry Christmas email, or a thank you for selling your property with us…it costs nothing to be kind and perhaps they need to look at thier customer service standards generally. The power of the ‘thank you’ every now and then goes a long way….. or no problem let me explain this too you, happy to help and ensure you understand and are comfortable with what we are suggesting or recommending - when in the service industry it’s the little things that people remember and HOW they made you them feel …. We felt totally undervalued as their client/customer!

This is the first time we've put a house up for sale and I'm very impressed by the service that we have received from Scrivins & Co. The pictures taken were of good quality and showcased the property perfectly. The video tour feature that Scrivins has introduced has been a valuable tool during this uncertain and unprecedented time. Buyers interested were able to get a better feel for the property before booking a viewing therefore reducing any unnecessary contact. I'm happy with the safety measures that have been put in place to combat Covid-19. Communication has been fantastic, we received daily updates from Becky about the progress of our sale as well as notifications for viewing confirmations/reminders and all documents were received in a timely manner. Unfortunately due to other reasons our buyer pulled out however Scrivins acted fast and managed to get us three new offers within the space of a couple of days. Scrivens for renters aren't helpful. They don't email with details when they say they will. It's always a cattle call to view a rental and they have zero respect for the renter. They do the minimum amount of work in a job lot and If you cant make the cattle call they have zero interest in helping with a time that suits you. And if you do turn up at the time THEY allowcated you, you're sharing the appointment with others. Last place i viewed there was 4 other groups there at my appointment time. I would far from recommend.
