Really great experience

The experience with Stow Brothers and namely Ryan and Tanika has been great. They were very knowledgeable, professional and friendly. What I also appreciated was how respectful they were towards the existing tenant during the showing. The rental process once everything was agreed also went extremely smooth, answers were provided very quick and they were helpful throughout. Brilliant service and management

Anita Datta was our Property Manager for the best part of almost 2 years and was absolutely brilliant. She was incredibly attentive, checking in regularly to make sure everything was okay and to allow us to flag any issues we may have had. Regarding issues we did bring to her attention, she often responded with news on a call-out being schedule within the day which was incredibly helpful and honestly quite a rare thing to encounter. Overall we've had such a brilliant time during our stay at the property, mostly accredited to Anita's ease of contact, friendly service and ultimately, her above and beyond willingness to help wherever and whenever she could. The best Estate Agency in Hackney!

Having previously had a very disappointing experience with another estate agent in the area, I can honestly say that Stow Brothers have restored my faith that not all estate agents are the same. From the outset, Eva’s enthusiasm, professionalism and determination to sell our property were evident. What impressed me most was that this commitment did not stop once the contract was signed. Throughout the entire process, she remained proactive, engaged and genuinely invested in achieving the best outcome for us. The results speak for themselves. Within just two weeks, Stow Brothers achieved what another well-known local agent had failed to do in almost a year……they sold our property! Whilst the conveyancing process has unfortunately dragged on, that is certainly no reflection on Eva or the wider team. Lachlan was always available to assist, chase matters when needed and keep things moving wherever possible. I rarely leave reviews, and when I do it is usually because I have had a particularly poor experience. However, on this occasion I felt compelled to leave one because excellent service deserves recognition. If you are thinking of selling a property in Hackney, I would strongly recommend speaking with the team at Stow Brothers. Based on my experience, you will not be disappointed.

I moved into a newly renovated property…

I moved into a newly renovated property expecting furnishing and decorating to be required. Instead, I discovered numerous unfinished, incorrectly installed and potentially unsafe issues, costing me around £700 immediately to rectify. I'm still finding issues today which is costing me each time. Kitchen appliances had not been installed, the fridge had an exposed live wire, and the microwave oven had been incorrectly installed and had to be replaced. The flooring was so uneven that it warped my furniture, despite being newly laid and subsequently confirmed by a floor survey to be outside acceptable standards. The water pump was also incorrect and potentially dangerous, and I was advised to switch it off due to the risk of it exploding. The boiler thermostat was incorrectly wired, leaving me unable to reliably tell whether the heating was on or off, requiring I hire a gas engineer to rectify. A year later, the fridge has failed, but its warranty is void because of the original incorrect installation, leaving me to pay for a replacement myself. There are major cracks showing in the extension they built. I am extremely disappointed that a property was marketed and sold in this unfinished and unsafe condition. I also paid above asking price and felt pressured to complete within three months, with repeated warnings that the seller would withdraw if my solicitors did not rush the process. Overall, my experience has been extremely poor. I would strongly recommend prospective buyers carry out thorough checks and surveys rather than assuming a newly renovated property has been completed to an acceptable standard.

Imagine your dream estate agent. No really, imagine it. You want to sell your house in record time to secure another house and it’s the week of the budget. Ben and his team jumped on it. The photographs from Tibor were exceptional. Keepers. Framers. They sold our house in 5 days from appraisal. That’s very good. When others said it wouldn’t be possible. They made it possible. They handled it all with grace and efficiency. Now once the sale was agreed we were looked after by Paul Leonard. Experience and expertise in abundance. We were considering going with an agent with a longer record in the local market, or another boutique agent specialising in design-led property sales. Ultimately we ended up going with Stow Brothers who honestly brought the best of both worlds, and then some - they understood the local market, their marketing material was top notch, and they demonstrated a more considered understanding of our prospective buyers and the digital platforms better than anyone else. Finally (and critically) their account management team were just really on top of things. They were proactive and consistent throughout the process. Couldn't recommend them more .
