GoogleDon’t waste your time. Called to arrange a viewing on a property and the agent indirectly implied that I was lying about having a mortgage in principle and was asking for me to send over documents before even allowing me to see the property. Zero customer service so I wouldn’t trust this particular branch.

GoogleWe were pleased with the service we had received on letting our flat, so when we decided to sell, we discussed this with Romans. They had the flat advertised immediately and sold within a week. The contact was really efficient and chased other parties to make sure things happened on time

I'm a multiple property landlord currently moving my managed properties to other agents. Why?Management rate: at least 1.5% above rates offered by rival agents.Cost of gas safety with Romans £137 - cost from same contractor instructed privately £107.Cost of new Fridge freezer from Romans £415. Local Electrical store £340and saving the best to lasta new single built in oven £576, Local electrical store £210!!Why would I want to continue to pay someone to spend my money so efficiently. Very disappointed to see that such a big company could not offer any economies of scale.

GoogleRomans has been fantastic in setting us up with the tenancy, we moved in very quickly with no hassle. The property itself is lovely and we are enjoying it very much. Unfortunately I had to remove a star due to having to deal with slow responses while we have issues in our building. Our hot water isn't functioning properly and we're missing a key. We also weren't informed on how bills work or how to pay them. I have been speaking to multiple people at Romans who all attempted to solve these issues with me, but I haven't got any concrete answers to when my issues will be resolved and their responses are usually slow (except one individual) or they simply don't get back to me. I hope I can rate 5 stars again in the future when everything is sorted out.

GoogleStephanie and Callum at Romans were fenomenal. Communication was excellent and the purchase of our first home was made a little less stressful as soon as Stephanie came on board. Thank you very much for all of your support and advice. As first time buyers you really made a difference to our experience. I will say the recommended solicitors by Romans (Bindman Solicitors) were very painful to deal with, next to no communication, lack of information and failed to advise us of very important steps needed to complete. We would strongly advise against using them when purchasing with Romans.

Horrible company, they don't even deserve one star.I have had terrible experiences with Romans throughout the years. They always treated me as if I was a lower class person, failed to communicate with me or the landlord when promised and resolved issues very slowly. At one point they gave me the wrong date about the start of repainting the property and when I called them and asked where the painter was, they just said that he wouldn't come for another 3 weeks and that they forgot to inform me. They didn't even apologize for the fact that I have moved all the furniture and removed all the curtains to prepare the flat for the work in the middle of winter!! At the end of the tenancy, they kept changing the date of the checkout and tried to extend the contract with an extra month, despite me giving notice so that they wouldn't have to refund me. They also lost the invoice of the professional carpet cleaning and tried to accuse me of not cleaning the flat properly, which is absolutely ridiculous!!! It has been over 2 months and I haven't seen any refund or deposit. Their only mantra is that they're chasing the case, just to get rid of you on the phone. I would never recommend this agency to anyone because they lack honesty and respect and can't treat people as human beings.

I have used Romans for many years buying, selling and letting a number of properties through tem. I have always found them helpful and reliable. Most of all I have found the staff to be fair and honest, a must for me in this industry. My update to the previous review. Since this review I have had a few problems with this company when using the no deposit option for rentals. I have struggled to recover money owed with one deposit going through the arbitration service. Roman's did not cover my needs very well in the process and I ended up a few thousand out of pocket on one checkout. Others have been ok but it's always a bit difficult to recover losses. I will update again after the latest checkout and loss recovery..........
