Sadly, after many years of having this excellent Henley firm as part of my life, it looks as if the association will be drawing to a close. First they sold me a flat, then they helped me to rent it out and manage the rental, then finally they have helped me to sell it. This latter was carried out while weathering the trials and tribulations of SARS-CoV-2. Having interacted with Davis Tate in all those different roles, I think I have met, or had telephone and email contact with everyone on the team, and they are, without exception, a wonderfully friendly, efficient, thoroughly professional group of people. Somehow, they manage to make one feel like a friend, while at the same time acting with complete professionalism. That they all do so cannot be a coincidence. This universal sense of happy proficiency must come from the top. It is, I fear, invidious to single out someone for special mention, especially when all were so good. However, that is what I am going to do, because my most recent, and by far the greatest level of interaction has been with one person: Emma Durcan. The combination of the pandemic restrictions, together with the mayhem caused by the Stamp Duty Holiday, has made this a very difficult period in which to get a property sold, overseeing all the machinations of the two sets of solicitors. Throughout all this, Emma has been in regular contact, reassuring and commiserating as appropriate, and stepping in with practical help, when appropriately directed ‘encouragement’ was required for certain solicitors. Her support was exemplary. After paying my fees, there is little more that I can do for this firm, other than to wish them well in the future, and to say that they and their employees are welcome to use any parts of this endorsement in whatever way they find useful. I can say hands down that my experience of finding a property to rent in Henley with Davis Tate has far exceeded my expectations or my experience with any other estate agents in the area. The team are all super knowledgable about the area, extremely friendly and approachable and are very efficient and experts at what they do. Emma helped me secure the perfect property for my needs in a very tricky rental market, and communications with her and her team throughout has been great.
