GoogleAs a newcomer to Scotland I struggled to understand the system and to attend viewings, but the staff at Helensburgh were endlessly patient with me. They proactively called me when they knew there were new properties coming on to the market that might interest me, and took a real personal interest in persevering until I got the right one. Viewings were easy to arrange and flexible and they kept me updated about the progress of sales. I really appreciated their friendly manner and professionalism at a very stressful time in my life.

TrustpilotGreat staff and very well presented house details
Very well presented house details, including great pictures and the excellent walk through and video. Proactive, friendly and professional staff at all times who go the extra mile (including going back to let my cat out of the garage for me when I was away and she'd sneaked in during a viewing they hosted for us - thanks Cara!)

TrustpilotFantastic service - a real assist to the sector!
My experience of buying a property through the Helensburgh branch of Clyde Property within the last few months has been nothing but positive. I was always kept in the loop and trusted things were progressing as they should. The level of service provided by all of the team (particularly Alison and Sheona) was fantastic and I would definitely recommend (and use!) their services again in the future.

TrustpilotI had a fantastic experience working…
I had a fantastic experience working with Clyde Property Bearsden. They were incredibly professional, attentive, and knowledgeable throughout the entire process. I dealt with Nicola who made everything smooth and stress-free, and I felt confident in her guidance every step of the way. The communication was excellent, and she always kept me informed and updated. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking to buy or sell a property.

TrustpilotFlat Inspections or Forensic Investigation? Clyde Property Revealed
After finally breaking free from the clutches of the private letting world, it's time to spill the beans on Clyde Property. If you're weighing your options between Clyde and, well, anyone else, let me save you the trouble: consider exploring those other options. My main issue? The flat inspections, oh the wonderful flat inspections. It was like clockwork every 8 weeks, as Clyde's inspection staff would descend upon our humble abode. They probed deeper than an archaeologist on a mission to find ancient relics, inspecting everything from the inside of our oven to the space behind the radiators. They even took pictures of the seats we sat on, I'm still scratching my head over what they expected to discover there.Despite the fact Clyde properties are well maintained (I have to give them that), earning them a modest "more than one"-star rating from yours truly, the constant scrutiny turned our home into a real-life episode of 'CSI: Clyde Property'. You'd think after a decade of loyal tenancy, they'd trust us not to turn the fridge into a science experiment. Alas, no such luck. So, if you value your privacy and don't fancy living in a real-life version of 'The Truman Show', I'd steer clear of Clyde. There are definitely better letting agents out there who won't treat your sofa like a potential crime scene.

Dear Roy,Thank you for taking the time to review your experience with Clyde. I am sorry to read of the dissatisfaction you mention in terms of our mid-tenancy inspection process. As a responsible managing agent and as per our Fully Managed Service Agreement with our landlord clients, we are obligated to inspect the property every three months. We did used to inspect every two months as you mention, however after consultation we have opted to reduce this to every three months. Our inspection team go through a program of robust training and we expect that they provide a general overview of the internal condition of the property, noting any maintenance or cleanliness issues - whilst also respecting tenants privacy. I am truly sorry if you feel this was not the case throughout your tenancy. I would be keen to ascertain whether or not you notified us of your concerns, in order for us to take corrective action - mid tenancy. Tenants do have the right to request reduced inspections after an amount of time in a rental property and with the landlords permission, this tends to be implemented. We do pride ourselves on customer experience and therefore I would be keen to have a further discussion with you in relation to same - as I am unable to find a tenancy agreement in your name on our system. I am available and can be contacted anytime on 0141 576 8500 or craig.moody@clydeproperty.co.uk.Yours sincerely,Craig MoodyLetting DirectorClyde Property

TrustpilotClyde Property - Shawlands letting team
I've dealt with the Clyde Property Shawlands branch for many years when letting my flat and have found them professional and helpful both in the ongoing management of my property and when it comes to re-letting.While other members of the team have changed over the period, Hilary has been a longstanding point of contact and is always helpful when something needs to be dealt with.

TrustpilotHorrid Clyde property
My friend recently rented from Clyde Bearsden . The staff were horrendous , turning up for constant inspections , & on dates not agreed , lying about getting repairs done , not getting back to her constantly,& the manageress at the Bearsden office is a strone faced liar who continued to cause her distress !! I see Clyde has about 5 good reviews lately on trust pilot , maybe trust pilot should be looking into them for fake reviews ?, I don’t believe it’s just coincidence all these fake good reviews one after each other , they have got staff members toWrite good fake reviews afterall the constant bad reviews from decent people, they are a despicable company with bad people working for them . That’s how sad & dishonest a company , they’ve got staff writing good reviews rather than being decent human beings

TrustpilotI don’t like this company
I don’t like this company. My husband and I were attempting to rent a property through them which didn’t work out. Interestingly, a lot of their properties go back on the rental markets after becoming let agreed. No matter what condition the property is in, Clyde request 2 months deposit- the maximum amount they can legally charge. This seems insane in an unfurnished older style house. But no matter what they charge the max. I would imagine so they have a bigger pot to pick out of when the tenancy is completed. I will be avoiding Clyde on my next house hunt.

Dear Christine,Thank you for taking the time to review your experience with Clyde. I am sorry to read of the dissatisfaction you mention in terms of your experience in finding a rental property. We do take a two month security deposit as standard. In circumstances whereby an applicant wishes to request this be reduced, as part of an application for tenancy - we will seek the landlords instruction in this regard. The end of tenancy process is managed by our Checkouts department who are dedicated to ensuring a fair outcome for both landlords and tenants alike. Any deposit in Scotland is must be lodged with a third party tenancy deposit scheme and as such there is a robust process for dispute and indeed independent adjudication - in circumstances where a landlord wishes to make deductions from a deposit, and a tenant feels it to be unfair and or not warranted. We do pride ourselves on customer experience and strive to ensure the tenancy application process is as simple as possible and therefore I would be keen to have a further discussion with you in terms of your experience and indeed how Clyde can help you either now or in the future. I am available and can be contacted anytime on 07860953860 or craig.moody@clydeproperty.co.ukYours sincerely,Craig Moody Letting Director

The sale of our Glasgow flat was smooth, without any problems. Millie coordinated everything professionally and there were no hitches. We were delighted with the service received from all staff and of course the speed of the sale itself. Excellent experience.

TrustpilotNo flexibility for visiting houses when you work all week.
As a buyer, I need to skip out on viewing a house at Clyde Property. They have no flexibility about timing for people who work Mon-Fri 8.30-5-30. If you don't meet their 9-5 schedule, you can't visit the houses they offer, and we both work Mon-Fri all day, as most people. This has never happened with all the other agencies. So, we can't go for any house they manage.

Everyone we spoke to was so kind and friendly and helpful. We had a tricky situation managing the sale of an empty property from many miles away after the death of a family member. The staff were just so helpful and made everything so easy and ensured a quick sale.

TrustpilotI moved into this property in September…
I moved into this property in September 2024, and within the first week of my tenancy, significant issues began to arise. The property suffers from severe dampness, leading to mould growth and excessive condensation. As a result, many of my belongings, including clothing and furniture, were ruined. The paint and wallpaper also began to crack and peel due to the persistent moisture. Additionally, there was a leak in the roof that remained unresolved throughout my entire six-month tenancy. This leak caused water to seep into electrical sockets, rendering the electric radiators unusable and affecting the lighting as well. While Anton from Clyde Property was pleasant to deal with over the phone, I consistently had to chase for updates, as communication was poor. Despite multiple inspections and contractor visits, the underlying issues were never resolved. Consequently, I incurred significant financial losses, having to replace mould-damaged items and facing exorbitant electricity costs due to the need for constant dehumidifiers and alternative heating. The landlord refused to offer any compensation or even an apology for these issues. Given that multiple professionals assessed the property and still failed to identify a resolution, these problems were entirely avoidable. The entire experience with Clyde Property was deeply disappointing, and I would strongly advise against renting through them. To make matters worse, after vacating the property, I noticed that it was relisted at an even higher rent, despite its ongoing issues. Prospective tenants should proceed with extreme caution. listing shows as secure entry. This is definitely not the case as anyone can come and go to the property and get right through close and upto doors.

TrustpilotAlways a cleaning deduction
Typical letting agency that will use 'Cleaning' as a way to subtract from your deposit. And will not reply when you ask for an itemised receipt of what needs cleaned, as you have had it professionally cleaned and found it in the same state as you moved in

TrustpilotAwful experience as a tenant
My experience as a tenant with Clyde Property was awful. It was extremely difficult to get anything fixed. Then when I left the property they tried to take a huge amount from my deposit despite spending hours cleaning the property (which was considered as a case of betterment). Unfortunately, many landlords letting agents try to do this. They also told me incorrect information regarding my deposit. Luckily, I didn't listen to them and went into a deposit dispute. My advice for tenants is to take lots of photos upon moving in and leaving your property.
