We sold our house through Wood and Pilcher last year. We had had very bad experiences with other Heathfield agents, however after sitting down with Mike and sharing our feelings, we realised we had found the right agents. Everyone we dealt with from wood and pilcher were professional and helpful. They did their job well and got us the sale price we wanted. I would recommend them over any other agent in Heathfield for buying or selling.

Wood and Pilcher are excellent estate agents. I found them to be professional, friendly, approachable and efficient. They produced excellent photographs, showed around a steady stream of potential buyers and kept me informed with feedback. Once an offer was received they have been instrumental in keeping the sale on track: contacting all parties and solicitors and keeping me up to date. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Wood and Pilcher and would use them again myself.

We have been delighted with Wood and Pilcher (Heathfield Branch) over the last 10 years, having sold two houses with them, both of which we also rented out at intervals with W&P. With our most recent completion, we could not have received more outstanding support and dedication from James, whose communication skills in liaising with all parties involved was second to none. We always felt reassured by this, something which is very important when buying or selling one's house. James understands this and goes the extra mile, supported by a fantastic team who also understand how crucial it is to keep things moving towards a successful conclusion. Our rental property has been left in a dangerous condition. The property is managed by the Tunbridge Wells office. We reported a leak to the toilet 7 and a half weeks ago, the flooring was damaged and was dangerous to walk on as the flooring underneath had become loose. Yesterday we had contractors attend and began to fix the flooring, half way through the work, the landlady contacted them and told them to stop all work immediately. The result is that we have no flooring in the bathroom apart from a small walkway leading to the sink, either side there is a 1 and a half foot drop. The contractors were upset as they did not want to leave the property in such condition but we're told that they wouldn't be paid for the work if they continued. We have children in the property who are unable to use the bathroom and we have had to barricade the door in case they forget in the night and fall through the floor. I wish I could share the photo, it is terrible. The landlord and estate agents are more than happy to take almost 2k per month than to ensure the property is suitable to be lived in.

Initially a very promising agent. However, 10 weeks and only 1 viewing so I thought it time to change to someone else. Appreciate the market challenges but there is no excuse to keep to a notice period when you aren't performing. Especially when no viewing can happen during the majority of that period - as was the case. Very disappointed. How anyone can intentionally and vindictively hinder people desperate to sell their property is beyond me. Pleas for rational behaviour fall on deaf ears. Don't sign a contract with these people is my advice.

If I could I would give 0 Stars. Absolutely appalling experience with Wood & Pilcher. We signed a 6-month rental contract fully aware the property was for sale, a risk we accepted. Just two days before our move-in, we were informed the contract was cancelled due to the house being sold.
