This estate agent gets you moving!!! We changed to Wood and Pilcher after being on the market with another estate agent for over five months through the Spring and Summer with no success. We approached Wood and Pilcher who agreed to take over the sale, (and were utterly professional with their guidance about how to end our contract with the other agent). Although our property was then launched with them late in the Autumn as the dark days were drawing in, we immediately had fresh viewings and a firm offer for the house within a week. This led to exchange of contracts before Christmas, and completion as soon as the solicitors were back at work in January. Their proactive approach and clear, prompt communication made all the difference. They respond to emails instantly; they followed up a query from our buyers late on a Saturday afternoon, until it was resolved and sorted before leaving their desk for the weekend. They unpicked a mistake made by solicitors and diplomatically saved the day, again with honest, clear communication between us and the buyers, which would have dragged into a complicated mess if left to the solicitors! We cannot thank them enough for the successful house sale, which all went through within weeks at a 'slow' time of year for the property market generally.

All of the team at Wood and Pilcher were fantastic from the start of the process to the end. Very professional, they clearly know the market in our area, and their advise was spot on. The best part for me was the communication. We don't often buy and sell homes, so the process is a bit daunting and confusing at times, but I was actively kept in the loop by the team. We were lucky enough to not only sell our property with W&P, but the house we bought was through them as well, making it as seamless as possible. Massive thank you to Mike, Josh, Melissa, Kate and everyone else at the Heathfield branch. I have met with Mike Watkinson (Branch Manager) from Wood and Pilcher for property valuations on two occasions, once in 2022 and again in 2024. While my interactions with Mike were always pleasant, I have been consistently disappointed by the valuations he provided. In both instances, the valuations were significantly lower than my expectations, based on my own research. Consequently, I chose not to list my properties with Wood and Pilcher, instead opting for another estate agent who provided a more accurate and favourable valuation. Notably, I was able to sell my properties for £35-50k more than the valuations given by Mike. I advise anyone selling their home to be cautious and not take valuations from some agents at face value. It appears that some agents may undervalue properties for a quicker sale. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Wood and Pilcher for property valuations.

Very good feedback about the agent initially. However, a promised call back about a property which was on sale and had just received an offer (TO BE FIRMED UP!!) I was PROMISED a call back after the weekend when the confirmation was to have been done by the buyer. ONLY! No call, no nothing took place. No call, no update. NOTHING!! So from what APPEARED TO BE AN EXCELLENT AND PROMISING START?? It ALL came a tumbling down! Shame as it was an absolutely ideal property for my Wife And I!! But alas the lack of reply from the Agent!! Was, yes well, VERY DISSAPOINTING!! To csay the least.

From our first meeting with them, they have been nothing short of excellent. Firstly their valuation was very realistic and totally achievable. They ensured that all of their agents came to view our property, so that they could then describe it with enthusiasm to potential buyers. All of the viewings were accompanied by them, which we, personally prefer. The marketing material was very professional and really showed off the house and garden's best bits. Once we had accepted an offer, the post offer team were brilliant. Melissa, was our main point of contact and she liaised with the whole team keeping us regularly up to date with what stage we were at. All in all I really couldn't recommend Wood and Pilcher enough and would recommend them to anyone who is thinking about selling.

Wood & Pilcher, and the Heathfield office in particular, have been nothing short of phenomenal for us. They’ve certainly bucked the trend of my past experiences!
