Contract - BE AWARE I cant fault the service that I had with freeman foreman in Heathfield and Lucy was particularly good. I would just like all people thinking of using the company to be aware of a part of their contract. It was made clear to me by the original estate agent I dealt with that the fee would be 1% of the sold price. It turns out that there is a clever little box that gets filled in by the estate agent stating that the fee will be a minimum of £££. This figure is likely to be the valuation fee NOT the sold fee. I would just ask anyone thinking of using ANY estate agent to be mindful of this prior to signing. Afterall the majority of us dont regularly sell properties, right? Whilst I am sure this completely legitimate, it was never made clear to me that when the manger suggested that the original price was vastly over inflated and that I should reduce the price by 35 thousand, I would still be paying 1% commission on that 35 thousand. I do feel this is an underhanded way of obtaining money. I am sure this is not the only estate agent to practice this, so it is just a word of caution to all about to employ an estate agent.

Myself and my wife were extremely pleased with how Freeman Forman handled the sale of our property in Heathfield considering the market being tough at this time. Greg was very generous with his time for the initial discussion and was more than happy to take over when we initially went with a different agent. Lucy and Katie were always responsive and courteous plus did great jobs on the viewings and Rhys conducted a masterful negotiation meaning we achieved the bottom of our guide price range for the property, allowing us to move to our new home. They are clearly a very proactive team which is exactly how an agent should be, therefore all in all it was a very good job well done :)

I had an amazing experience with Rebecca and Chloe with finding myself a place ! I’m a first time renter so I was absolutely terrified, but from the moment I first began talking with them I felt in good hands and everything made sense. Freeman Forman in Heathfield has been great. We had the pleasure of working with Katie, who's been amazing from start to finish. She was very prompt in responding to queries, always providing us updates (which can be rare, especially as buyers) overall, very professional and lovely. I also really appreciated the buying process, and the company didn't want to create a bidding war that could become a bit ugly and take away the excitement. I wanted to leave a review for Ed at FF Heathfield branch . Ed was very supportive and understanding of my needs while I was looking for a new property to rent . Ed was very aware of my mobility issue and always checked if a property that came up for rental was suitable and affordable for my needs . Ed would call me weekly to check up on me which I found really helpful and useful . No estate agent has ever gone above and beyond to look for suitable properties and check on someone’s wellbeing . Even though I didn’t find a property through FF . I would 100% consider using them again if needed and I will recommend them to anyone I know who is looking to sell or rent a property. Their lettings team is useless and expensive

I can’t speak to the Freeman Forman sales team but my experience with their lettings team in Heathfield was terrible. I hired them to manage a property several hours away while my late husband was ill and I couldn’t manage or visit the property myself. They charged me an exorbitant amount for this service each month and I have nothing to show for it but a trashed house in need of thousands of pounds of repairs. They let to terrible tenants who ruined the house and garden, but even worse, Freeman Forman neglected to do an end of tenancy inventory so I couldn’t keep the tenant deposit to offset the cost of repairs. One of their letting agents even admitted to me that they dropped the ball. But of course Freeman Forman did nothing to make things right for me or take any financial responsibility for their mistakes and poor service. They are either incompetent or sleazy or both. Avoid Freeman Forman lettings, it’s an expensive rip off!

We got our keys to our new house yesterday. I just want to say a huge huge thank you to both Ed King and Rebecca Lee for all your help and professionalism. We unfortunately found ourselves having to leave our current home due to our landlady selling. I reached out through right move and had a very friendly guy called Ed call me and invite me to view the property I wanted. At the viewing he was more than happy to spend some time with us having a good look around. Between then and yesterday there was no delay in answering any queries we had or getting things moving forward at a very good pace. In total from viewing to us having the keys was only 2 weeks and 2 days. This is also with us having a third party involved which could of really slowed things down. Even after we had the keys Ed and the team have really gone above and beyond to help us with small teething problems and even came to the property today to sort a small issue. Ed's bright attitude and kindness have made this whole moving house business a lot easier and less stressful. I honestly couldn't fault him or Freeman foreman and would recommend them to anyone looking to rent a property. Thank you from me and my family for being so absolutely amazing.

The team at Freeman Forman were fantastic from start to finish in helping with the sale of my flat. Greg is extremely knowledgeable and came fully prepared with lots of research, to do the valuation. The team arranged lots of viewings and obtained an offer very quickly which was great as we needed to act quickly on the house we wanted to buy. All of the staff in the office were really helpful, particularly Sophie who kept completely on top of things and continued chasing solicitors and other parties throughout the process to get the sale finalised.

Greg helped me 5 or so years ago when I was buying a property so when I came around to wanting to sell, it was a no brainer - Greg was the man for the job! Greg is extremely knowledgeable about the local market, he gives expert advice and is always on hand to help in whatever way he can - he really does go the extra mile.
