My experience of letting agents in the past has been somewhat disappointing. Particularly as a tenant. Some agencies make you feel uncomfortable. Particularly as there is so much competition for each rental property. Romans, however, have been quite the contrary. Any contact I have made has always had a quick and positive response. Making me feel like a tenant is a customer, just as the landlord is. Naomi Hamilton has been exemplary in representing the Romans brand. She is sensitive to any situation and makes a great intermediary between landlord and tenant. All done with a happy, positive approach to her work. A great brand ambassador. So, for me, Romans are a respected and most importantly, respectful letting agency.

Christine Lancaster has been my property manager for several years. Recently I was concerned at the number of other contacts I was getting from other areas of the business. I arranged a face to face meeting with Christine. To go through this and review my property situation. She was able to alay my concerns and addressed each issue in a relaxed and professional manor. We have been letting via Dewhursts/Romans for many years. We have found Romans’ mortgage advice has not been the best available and we feel the compliance fee should be included in the management fee and not an additional charge. As the management fee is a percentage of the rent, Romans fee has increased in line with rents/inflation. Christine Lancaster is the manager we have had the pleasure of dealing with during this time. She is an excellent advocate for the business……always informative and prompt to deal with any issues. Christine is always helpful with any questions we need answered. She provides a first class service.

Just wanted to write a review to say how great Jade is in the lettings team! We’ve rented for 7 years previously with Dewhurst now with Romans, i’m a tenant just had our inspection and it’s the first friendly, through inspection we’ve had since renting here! Jade was so thorough and her communication was great. It was nice to deal with someone who was so friendly and smiley and who went through everything with me. I have been supported by Christine and the team at Romans in Swindon for coming up to 5 years now. Christine Lancaster has always been amazing, responsive and so supportive and understanding when it comes to the ongoing property maintenance in my property, which includes out of hours emergencies that I've had. My tenancy agreement was reaching its end but I hadn't been contacted about whether I would like to stay at the property, if the rent would be going up or if the landlord wanted me to leave etc. I called up on 3 separate occasions and was told someone would call me back to let me know what's happening; no one followed up. My contract ends in less than a month and I've been stressing about my current living situation when I called the office again and spoke with someone called Rebecca. All I can say is she is absolutely superb and gets the job done! She was apologetic about the situation even though she hadn't personally done anything wrong and managed to sort everything out in less than 24hrs, keeping me posted on what was happening the whole time. She even offered to take on managing my property so I know I'm in safe hands going forward. I'll finally be able to rest easy again knowing I still have a place to live! Honestly, thank you so much Rebecca for your help!
