We could not be happier with our experience with Delaney's! Upon looking at properties to rent John and Lee were our initial contacts in our moving process and they were extremely helpful to get the ball rolling and securing the property as smooth as possible making sure all the questions we had were answered in a timely manner. We were then connected with the letting's team (Jo and Michelle) who helped us through all of our documentation and moving in logistics. There really are no words to describe how amazing and supportive Jo and Michelle have been right from the beginning and continuously through out tenancy so far. They are always on hand and willing to help with any issues or questions. We have no worries about anything to do with our tenancy as we always feel like we are in great hands. We have worked with several letting agencies varying from companies in The Midlands to Central London and now Harold wood and we can truly say they are the best letting's team we've ever worked with!! If we could provide them with a higher rating we would!

GoogleAccepted our offer and someone else’s offer on the same house, and entered us into a contract race by saying whoever books the valuation first would get the house.
We let our mortgage advisor know the same day to submit the mortgage application (Thursday) and Saturday Delaney’s called us to say they’ve accepted a completely different person’s offer… didn’t hold true to their word so we lost hundreds of £ (not sure about the other buyer.)
Mortgage advisor was extremely annoyed as they still had to finish more compliance paperwork even after this & told us to never use this estate agent again. This was their first time dealing with Delaney’s too.
Estate agents really shouldn’t be able to accept multiple offers and continue to keep properties on the market even when an offer is accepted..
*edit after seeing response: I believe you have me confused with a different buyer unless a different story is being fabricated, this was over a few days at the end of Aug not 10 days.
We did not miss any calls, viewed on 17th put an offer in immediately and negotiated to the accepted offer by 21st, had the mortgage application submitted 23rd and then was called on the 24th that they’ve accepted someone else’s offer.

In this particular transaction, the vendor agreed to a reduced sale price with the understanding that the process would progress swiftly. This was communicated to you, given that your offer was below their preferred amount. Unfortunately, after two weeks, there was minimal progress on the mortgage survey, and during this time, another, higher offer was presented.
We made several attempts to reach you via phone and email over the following ten days to inform you of this situation. However, we did not receive any responses. Consequently, the vendors decided to consider the higher offer, as we are obligated to inform our clients of all received offers.
I regret that the lack of communication led to this decision. Your experience is important to us, and I am truly sorry for the disappointment this has caused.
