I had the pleasure of having the help of Alfie, Daniel and Lorna in the process of finding my new flat in Hastings two months ago! They are very helpful and available whenever I have a problem (like today when I unluckily closed myself out of the flat and they were able to help me get back into the house very quickly). I hope to have not this issue anymore but I'm glad to know that if something else happens they will be there to help.

I have never used the services of Fox and Sons yet have somehow ended up on their email list. I have had emails from various agents offering valuations and help with buying and selling. I have replied many times (to Curtis particularly) requesting to be removed from their mailing lists, but have never had a reply and continue to be sent emails. I’m fairly certain if I was requesting a valuation of my house it would be a very different story and I’d get an instant reply. I have never been to Hastings, I don’t own a house anywhere in England. I have reported them as spam and still the emails come.

Please avoid this unprofessional office in Hastings. Thought it was weird that my requests was not followed through. Been waiting to speak to a manager for a week. Nothing, called back. It was obvious the fella did not pass on my message. Not responded to emails. When challenged, he was happy to tell me he didnt like me. Think it was the colour of my skin.Update Foxs and sons are questioning my review. Trustpilot want evidence. My complaint was done over the phone. The company did not address my complaint in writing. As i advised trustpilot. Whoever is challenging this has not contacted the branch manager who i spoke to at length and arranged for someone to value my property last week. Perhaps they should do their own checks before they challenge my experience. After this insult. I wont be putting any business their way. Pure cowboys. Minus any stars

Very positive experience with Fox and Sons Crewkerne

We couldn't be happier with the service we have received from Leon Gullis of Fox and Sons Crewkerne over the past week. From the outset of our viewing he was friendly, professional and informative, highlighting features of the property and useful information about the locality and town. He gave us space and time to really look around and we never felt rushed. We made an offer that day and in the subsequent six days, whilst viewings were still ongoing, he kept us in touch with the progress of our offer. After our offer was accepted Leon was extremely helpful with all the initial processes including recommending conveyancing solicitors and offering to arrange a survey and searches. He has been delightful to deal with so far and we've no doubt he will do all he can to ensure our journey to completion goes smoothly. We would have no hesitation in giving Leon 10 out of 10! We would give 11 if we could!

I have recently had the pleasure of dealing with Fox and Sons Peacehaven branch and if I could give them more than 5 stars I would.This is the first time that I have had to sell and buy a home in 20 years. I'm a single mum to 3 children under 10 so time and working to my schedule was so important to me.At the start of the process I felt completely out of my depth and had no idea where to start but they made me feel at ease straight away.The whole team at the branch have just been incredible. The process has been fast, efficient, smooth and professional. I have been kept updated at all times and everyone has been so approachable and nothing ever seemed to be too much trouble, even when I took my 3 children on a viewing.The service was so good that I even used their mortgage advisor, Jonathan, and the service provided has been incredible.I would particularly like to thank Tom and Alice for their patience and understanding especially with the amount of questions that I had. I am very disappointed in the service that my husband and I received from Fox and Sons Southampton.Firstly we dealt with multiple people when it came to property offers and viewings when we expected to have 1 person handling our property.We were supposed to be dealing with Chloe but then ended up dealing with multiple people which was confusing.Secondly the unprofessionalism with the agents. Emma from the Southampton branch left a voicemail which was meant for a potential buyer to my husbands phone. It did not sound professional at all!There was lack of communication from fox and sons Southampton. We had to keep chasing them to ask them what was going on with the offer that we had received. Only to be told after a few days the person that put the offer in dropped out and chose another property.We took our property off the market and a few days later got a call to say someone has put an offer on our property. We asked if the potential buyer can go any higher and we still have not heard back. It has been 3 DAYS!!!! If someone is so keen (like you said over the phone) to purchase our home, why are we waiting 3 days with no response? You were supposed to make this process smooth and easy and yet this experience has been really horrible and had left us feeling drained, very disappointed and deceived. Fox and sons please remove our details from your system and don’t ever contact us again.

I have nothing but praise for the Hastings branch of Fox & Sons. I bought a buy-to-flat via them in Jan 2014 and they have managed the property rental & repairs since. I would like especially to single out the 3 people whom i have had the pleasure of dealing with: Ryan, Andrew & Laura. Ryan Bettney took me round all the potential properties. He was very knowledgeable, extremely helpful & really great fun to be with. I definitely recommend him if you're looking for a property. Andrew Titherly arranged my buy to let mortgage and found me a lawyer. He is brilliant and really efficient. Very helpful too and not pushy at all (as has been my experience with other financial advisors). He was very clear about what would happen then and in the futures. I have since re-mortgaged twice via him and he has been excellent each time. He contacts me in advance to check renewal needs and then always rings me on the agreed date to go through everything. He's fab. And Laura Winter from lettings is brilliant too. She's helped me sort out loads of the things that have gone wrong in the flat and deals with the tenants and contractors on my behalf. She is very reliable and honest - which I really appreciate. A lot has gone wrong recently and she's been fantastic in helping me through the quagmire of repairs! Update 2022 I am selling my flat and the staff in the Hastings branch continue to be brilliant. Lorna Wilcox has been a star with advice and sorting the end of tenancy. Jordan, Demi & Charles worked hard & were great when I marketed it. NOTE: my review is about the actual Hastings branch only. Sequence do most of their tenant liaison & repairs - individual employees are good, some excellent, but their turnover is very high and i think they are overworked.

My parents have just completed on a purchase a couple of days ago. Sharmin Ali was appointed to us to help with our Mortgage application. She is a very kind, straight to the point and very professional person. She constantly have been in touch with us to see where our application stands at. What a breath of fresh air Alex pink and his staff are. Alex pink and the team have restored my faith in estate agents and I have had some awful experiences with another estate agent in Hastings. I was getting to the stage where I was going to give up moving there at all and like an angel Alex stepped in and found me a house. Got my offer accepted with no fuss at all and have been kept in the loop ever since. Alex is so polite and helpful. And has made it possible to have my dream of a coastal house come true. This is the second time we have used Fox and son Hastings for buying and first time for selling. Our house sold in 4 days so great job! From start to finish the service we received has been 5 star! Jordon was quick, very informative and answered all my questions promptly when selling/listing our house which I felt was made as easy as possible! We used the in house mortgage team as well as I’m a lifetime member and what can I say, again 5 star! Sharmin was super helpful in securing our mortgage application and knows exactly what she’s doing! Sharmin was also very friendly and down to earth. It was with some trepidation that I embarked upon selling my flat after many years of delays and preparation. I was left with a dilemma as both agents representatives visits I was happy with. Estate agents have an unfortunate reputation, one of those almost predictable responses when the profession is mentioned. However, I feel that as in most situations in life it is often as much about your own approach and a personal experience, in addition to understanding to a degree, the difficulties faced by any given profession. I chose Fox & Sons on balance as it was their location in relation to my property, but as usual part of the choice was due to the time and care from their valuation listings manager, Callum Legate, whose visit provided detailed explanations, with impeccable politeness and answered readily my questions. When I raised minor concerns or observations with the property details, these were immediately addressed with a further personal visit and this has been further in evidence during two visits to the branch. Viewings were immediate as the Hastings branch staff were proactive . I was always consulted about viewings although happy for these to be undertaken at any time. Feedback was promised and received from another great staff member, Curtis, who has been very polite, smart and encouraging at all times. I knew my flat would have some limitations but it is now under offer and in the legal process. I would recommend making Fox & Sons at Hastings your first port of call. I understand the actual offer was negotiated with Alex but demonstrates team work.
