The staff from start to finish were…

The staff from start to finish were always there to help with any questions about selling/buying, my experience was with both as sold and bought off them, they were always polite/friendly and got back to you ASAP with any questions/information required, the only one thing that I didn't really like, was I felt as though I was pushed into movie butler and it wasn't really explained at what they do? Or why you even need them? To me they are not necessary, but not a negative it's just something personally I didn't really like, overhaul a very good experience with both the Ingleby/Stockton staff, thank you to you all for sorting everything out to sell/buying a property.

Could not recommend enough.

Really went out of their way to help whenever they could even arranging us a same day viewing 15 minutes before they closed. This ended up being the house we bought! I definitely recommend the Darlington…

I definitely recommend the Darlington office of Smith & Friends. Right from the start when Louis valued my property he was very informative, friendly and took great photos. At the start of the sale process I dealt with the majority of staff who were always friendly. Joy was looking after my property and was very friendly & professional keeping in touch throughout. Towards the end, even though she was off work following an operation, she still took the time to keep me up to date and check if I was happy with how things were progressing. My buyer also commented how pleased he was with the communication from Joy. Thank you to all the team. I will definitely use your services again.

We only chose smith and friends because we saw they had sold a significant amount of properties in our area. I'm very happy to report that they were the correct choice.After dealing with Jess and Michelle for a brief period due to our house being offered on almost immediately, I was thoroughly impressed with every aspect of their performance. Very poor integration and management of…

Very poor integration and management of property purchase from previous owner (Selling on behalf of company who re-possessed the property) Expectation on a sale of a property is professionalism which has lacked in this purchase , when viewing the property I found the property secure and in suitable condition to place a bid. I then privately paid for an independent survey to be completed on the property and when the surveyor attended the property the access was not provided to certain parts of the property (External Balcony). The property was completed on the principle that it was just the wrong set of keys that had been taken on the day of allowing the survey. Trust was then broken as when I was issued the keys on completion I found that there had been a maintenance activity performed on the locking mechanism (barrel changed) and the keys no longer worked in the lock. Meaning that the property was left unsecured on sale which is not acceptable.Furthermore , no keys were provided to access utility supplies which were isolated by the company of which Smith and friends were representing.

The staff at Smith & Friends Darlington were helpful from start to finish. The sale of my home was particularly stressful and emotional for me and had a few hurdles along the way but Joy was always on hand to reassure and guide me, nothing was too much trouble. This was my first experience of selling a home and found overwhelming and confusing at times however the staff were very patient and dealt with my many ‘wobbles’ professionally but in a personal way. Good service

Good service, apart from the sale progression department being unrealistic with time scales. We got told we were taking to long to complete when the whole sale only took 3 months. Which is pretty much average for a house sale. After this we consulted with the sale progression department for help gaining documents, however this was refused. Also at the start of the transaction there was little to no chasing from the sale progression department in getting the sale instructed with the solicitiors. Which was frustrating as everything was just verbally agreed for around 2 weeks. On the whole the sale progression department brought a lot of un-needed stress to the transaction, and can do a much better job in my view.
