New X Foxtons is appalling

New Cross Gate letting office is appalling. I had a misfortune to invite them a few years back for valuation and then when changed my mind, asked them to delete me from their database as wasn't planning to do anything with my house. And guess what every year I am receiving unsolicited calls inquiring about valuation, letting, selling. They promise to delete my number every time they call once every half a year in average, pathetic.

I contacted this estate agent to enquire about a 2-bedroom rental property. I explained that I work full-time for the NHS and that my husband currently receives Universal Credit while actively seeking work. The first agent said they could help, but the call got disconnected. When I called back, I was told I would receive a call back, which never happened. I can’t be certain why I wasn’t contacted again, but the lack of follow-up left me feeling disappointed and concerned. Clear communication would have been appreciated.

They take the money & abandon…

They take the money and then abandon their landlords. Do not rent a property with these agents as there is no customer support or response. I have had a couple of issues and queries - I have had to ring several times with long wait times and email multiple times for a response, still waiting three weeks later. They never reply or respond costing me hours of wasted time and stress.

I don’t know where shall i start from. I don’t know if it’s the correct office because i don’t which office is Shan Zhang from. So i came to view the apartment a month ago and i choose a medium studio flat, and we confirmed the same with her as well. It is very obvious that we don’t know any flat number so we wrote whatever the number Shan Zhang told us. And everything was okay. For me it was confirmed that i had medium studio room. After that i paid the holding deposit. After few weeks i was asked for the referencing and i had no idea that for ‘zero hour contract’ people they have pay upfront or else there is no other option. Shan Zhang from Foxtons never told us about this. And when i asked the referencing team they said the agent for sure know about this. I called back Shan Zhang and instead of helping me she said it’s not her department and she doesn’t know anything about this. And hence we had to pay 6 months plus security deposit all upfront. On 16.07.2024 we checked in to the flat. But i felt something is not okay with our room because it was not the one that i booked or confirmed. Instead of our medium room they gave me a single studio. When i asked Shan Zhang about the room she tried to convince me that was the room i booked. And i told her if i booked a single room then why i paid for medium studio which was 1225p/m. And Shan Zhang started talking to me rudely and aggressively on call in front of another Foxtons agent who was being very nice and helpful for me. Shan Zhang quoted “ if you want to stay to stay or else you can just withdraw and leave “. Which i could not handle and asked the other agent ghat i don’t want to talk or see Shan Zhang again. We stayed in the single room for three nights, which we never booked or paid, and after a real struggle and street today we are moving in a different medium studio ( not the one we booked ). Because Foxtons said that they don’t have the room which i booked and has been taking by someone else. I have the proof video of the show flat that we booked and even the conversation with the agent as well. Since the start i am compromising everything and there is nothing from Foxtons to offer us yet. So through this review i would like to say that the company tried to scam me. And i would like to demand a compensation from Foxtons for the mess up they did for 4 days and tree nights, my money is not a waste. The company should be happy that I haven’t filed any case to the court and police for fraud and scam. Will never recommend Shan Zhang to anyone and if by chance someone meet her be cautious and ask her everything. Thank you

We dealt with Oram Ohene-Djen, our letting negotiator, who from the very beginning was unhelpful, dismissive, and often gaslighting us whenever we raised concerns. Instead of supporting us, he downplayed delays, avoided giving clear answers, and left us constantly uncertain.

I wanted to say a massive thank you to Lisa Patel who has transformed my perception of Foxtons and Property sales agents. I want to leave a review as I highly highly recommend her. As context, we just began the property search and believed it would take 1 year to find a suitable flat. Lisa began with investing a lot of time to really understand what we were after and why. Lisa then identified 3 really relevant properties and showed them to us, giving a very honest opinion on each. This built a lot of trust and we ended up focusing on the flat Lisa recommended (we felt no need to see any others)! Along the 2 week decision journey, various family members wanted to see the flat and Lisa patiently arranged viewings very promptly and was always there to answer any questions she could. For the ones she couldn’t, she went above and beyond, getting answers from the vendor often late in the evenings which I was very impressed by. With the obvious questions around Brexit, Lisa showed me weekly Foxtons figures which reassured me to go for the flat now. During the offer negotiation stage, Lisa remained calm and gentle but kept us practical so much so we agreed on a price within 2 days! All in all it's taken less than 1 month to find and agree an offer on an ideal flat. Lisa has naturally carried on being a pleasant to work with Machine since, gently ensuring both parties stay focused. To summarise, if you are really lucky you’ll get Lisa to help you find your property as she is one of the most pleasant people you'll ever meet but also very action orientated, keeping everyone practical and moving everything along at a perfect speed.

I found that Shaun Bailey was an amazing estate agent. i messed him about a few times but he was always courteous and polite and very ahead of the game when it comes to selling property. I have used many estate agents and none of them could give me a sale and at a price i wanted even though my property was lovely. I knew Foxtons could so I went back to them. I just handed them the keys and they would be very professional all of them not just Shaun. Shaun was always there to give very handy advice which also helped me purchase my forwarding property. I highly recommend Foxtons when selling a house and especially Shaun as your first port of call!

It was an extremely impressive experience to use this estate agency. This positive experience started immediately after meeting Sean Bailey, the branch manager who instilled me with confidence about the saleability of my flat. 3 other agents tried to sell the flat over the previous 3 years u successfully. I thought their fees were a bit high but after they produced a number of good quality potential buyers within a short period of time, I could see how they justified their higher fee. They sold my flat within weeks & Ive never had such a smooth property sale experience. I thoroughly recommend Sean & his team & would obviously use them again.

Landlords don’t be fooled by the nice offices and friendly staff. They are ruthless. They take 13 percent + VAT for rent collection only and lock you in for 5 years. It’s not the tenants we need protecting from. It’s the ruthless agents.

I have been working with Shaun Bailey and Lisa Patel from the Foxtons Sales team over the sales of my flat in South Harrow. It was a very challenging process due to the earlier buyer dropping out and solicitors of the seller side wasn't great either. Both Shaun and Lisa were extremely proactive with viewings and kept me updated at every step of the process. Personally I must applaud Lisa's skills in liaising with the solicitors, buyers and the sellers all of whom were busy professionals and wanted their respective bits of work done asap. She was very thorough in explaining timelines and what was outstanding to get the process completed. Unfortunately the sellers solicitors were extremely poor in responding to mails and phone calls and Lisa dealt with these situations proactively. if you want to sell your property you don't need to look anywhere else. Thank you Shaun, Lisa and the entire Foxtons sales team

We are having a truly amazing experience with Andra Ciucas, Sales Negotiator, Harrow Sales, Foxtons. She is excellent at making things work. As we could not view properties during the day time, she arranged viewing during the evening even after her usual office hours. She let us spent as much time as we wanted to view the property. She made the whole experience positive and comfortable. She is responsive and approachable. She made us feel really great and made the process smooth. She managed to build the confidence and trust. Her advice on our property search strategy was invaluable: in fact it was her brilliant suggestion that enabled us to find the correct pathway to find the dream house. We are now in the process of going ahead witha survey: she had been truly amazing so far and helped us to overcome some of the challenges that would have hindered our potential to reach this stage of owning our dream property. I instructed Foxtons Harrow to sell my flat and after 2 weeks of marketing the property they found a successful buyer at the price I set out to achieve. The sale process was completed smoothly, from the valuation carried out by Shaun Bailey (who was extremely helpful) to the large number of accompanied viewings organised by Lisa Patel. Viewings still took place even after the property was sold STC as a precaution just in case the buyer dropped out, thankfully this did not happen. Special mention to Hexin He who worked extremely hard to make sure completion occurred by our deadline. Everyone at Foxtons Harrow was extremely helpful and I would highly recommend them to anyone selling their property in Harrow and surrounding areas.

I have only been using Foxtons Harrow for a short time. Lisa Patel has been helping to search for maisonettes with low or no service charges. Lisa is welcoming, very well spoken, well presented and professional who has taken my requirements including budget into consideration and has been keeping me updated frequently on what is available on the market as well as organising viewing times. Me and my wife have been home hunting for around 3 months, having looked at over 20 properties and feeling extremely anxious with a baby on the way and our current house having been sold we were desperately looking for a new home for our family. When we went to see this property in Kenton it felt like home immediately not only because it was finally what we had found but also we were instantly made to feel at ease. Lisa was very welcoming and had a lovely warm smile. She was able to answer all our queries and concerns and she was extremely flexible with us and allowed us to take our time to view the property aswell as reassuring us which is the kind of experience we haven’t till date received with any of the other properties we have viewed. I contacted Foxtons in Harrow to help out with my flat search and was put in touch with Nichole. She was very approachable and friendly and helped to arrange viewings of a few flats in the area - one of which I really liked and put down an offer for. Nichole was very helpful and quick with the whole process. Foxtons in Harrow is just great, we were not willing the rent the property when we arranged the viewings, however Charlotte - One of the Foxtons agent found beautiful flat for us & helped with everything. We were sorted within few days and Charlotte always responded within couple of hours if not immediately. The experience was really great and we were provided with a lot of friendliness, knowledge & professionalism. I would recommend this site to anyone who is looking for a new property to live in.
