Absoloutley disgusting handing my keys in and they are trying over charge me like an additional 2 weeks rent, and £132 for end of tenancy clean when in their own words there was a bit of dust and shower smudges. They also claimed they hadn’t received my keys and didn’t end the tenancy until 2 weeks after. The staff they have at the front desk clearly lack training and common sense and they clearly don’t give a crap how they treat tenants. If anyone is moving into 33 balmoral Place brewery wharf I advise you not too as the lights make a horrible buzzing sound and the heating does not work. Lights and electrics are faulty and will probably trip when you move in as they did with me. The staff are unprofessional and extremely incompetent Althea messed up my viewings on 3 occasions originally and I am still receiving text messages from them advising that someone’s coming to view the apartment 3 weeks after I’ve left this just shows how unorganised and incompetent they are. I would seriously advise to use another letting agent.

Avoid renting out apartment 312 Royal plaza in Sheffield. The landlord scammed us and literally took our money. He stole 400 from our 600 GBP deposit (each) to fix things that we didn't even damage. He took advantage of the fact that we were students, so we couldn't do much about this as we didn't even know. Now it is obviously too late to take any action. We were in communication with the tenants after us and the landlord nor the company actually fixed the 'apparently' damaged items by 'us'. Which confirms he just stole out money. About the actual company themselves, horrible communication and it took us multiple emails/calls for them to actually answer us back. We chased them for almost two months to get the remaining of our deposit back. Avoid this apartment at all costs no matter how good it seems at first.

Avoid at all costs. Terrible communication between staff and slow on responding. Moved in with cockroaches in my flat and was not able to live in the property for a couple of days but yet still had to pay full rent. The bathroom started leaking and once again was not able to use my bathroom for a couple of days but yet still had to pay full rent. They charged me £140 for end-of-tenancy cleaning even though I left the property on how it was given. Waste of a year of money never again.

I’m a landlord and until recently had my properties with Moores who provided a far better service; their lettings have now been taken on by Linley and Simpson. Having been with L&S less than 6 months I can safely say that it would be less hassle to manage the properties myself. I’ve had terrible communication regarding tenancy renewal (over months!) and outrageous quotes for repairs. This does annoy me in itself but the reason for me posting here is the underlying tone and arrogance of the individuals that work at Linley and Simpson. In no way do I feel like a valued customer. There needs to be some serious thinking about customer experience in this organisation before they have no customers left.

Well they did have 5 star but now having experience them fully I'd give them a zero if I could. Reported damp over a year ago to which found out they was a massive hole in the roof and over year later its still not been fixed so had a winter in a cold flat plus mould. I kept in touch regarding repair in which I got every excuse in the book which has lead me to move (luckily not with Lindley and simpson).When came to moving out they rang as was panicking over the keys to which they was snatch out my hand when handed in, if that worried about the keys why not do the repairs that needs doing just as quick.I don't complain but this is a move I didn't need at this present time with my mental health and would advise people to avoid Lindley and Simpson in future.
