I have lived in one of the rentals that Linley and Simpson rent of to me on behalf of a landlord.I had a slight issue recently with being charged for something I shouldn't have. I was dealing with Rebecca who deal with the property maintenance side of the company and she solved the issue instantly with a quick response. She was very pleasant, helpful and efficient. The letting team is really helpful and supportive.My property needs to renew the mortgage so the lender arranged a valuer come to do the valuation. And the valuer found some damp issue in my property so the lender request to fix the damp before they approve the mortgage renewal.The time is very very tight. Lucky Ms. Emily Abbott and Ms. Natalie Hawley provided me a very useful advice and help. And also helping me to arrange a contractor to fix the damp in a short period of time.Really appreciate.

Most estate agents I have encountered couldn't care less about customer service or property care/ standards, however, Linley & Simpson did a phenomenal job. Spencer, in particular really listened to my accommodation needs, demonstrated a level of honesty, care and patience that I have not experienced with an estate agent in Leeds yet. It is rare to be able to trust an estate agent, and with Linley & Simpson you know EXACTLY what you are paying for. Also, I was impressed by the knowledge of each property and I appreciated being told about upcoming property developments.

My partner and I used Linley & Simpson to find our first apartment together and the whole process has been incredibly smooth and simple. All the agents we were in contact with were happy to help and always communicated information very clearly. Lisa, in particular, was instrumental in supervising our rental application and was always accessible either via email or phone and answered all our questions and concerns in a timely manner.

As a landlord, I expect efficient communication between my tenants, myself, and the letting agent. I was pleased with Preston Baker's service, but the lettings department was taken over by Linley and Simpson. Now, even just a couple of months in, I already feel a world of difference. Communication is very haphazard; I get a lot of automated emails, unsure whether or not I'll get a reply if I have a query. Once I do get hold of someone, conversation might be sustained for a few emails, but after a while there is no follow-up after I've requested them to get something done. I'm left in the lurch and I'm sure many others are too. Money is charged and checks are carried out without prior notification or reports as follow-up. Tenancy renewals are left up in the air for weeks. Communication about new lettings agreements with Linley and Simpson themselves fizzle out after a few emails.I hope Linley and Simpson will take these comments into consideration and maybe look into restructuring their lettings department. It seems very chaotic and doesn't offer the professionalism landlords and tenants expect.
