I am very cynical re real estate agents but Linley and Simpson were great. Their Fixflo process, for reporting issues with my flat, was easy and my issues were always quickly resolved. When I left the flat I accidentally packed up the existing crockery and glassware and was contacted by the Senior Property Manager, Ami, kindly enquiring as to their whereabouts. She could have approached it in a hostile manner but she didn't and expressed gratitude on my return of the items. I even got my full deposit back after getting a professional end of tenancy clean.

Booked in for an hour “show me round some options” and didn’t disappoint: Bradley showed me round several spaces that ticked all the boxes I’d outlined in my consult call and were fairly priced/good. Had a great experience with him as he sensibly outlined positives of each and shared some local intel. Didn’t feel pressured or talked down to. Eventually had an existing offer elsewhere accepted but impressed with the service received and would definitely return to Linley and Simpson in the future.

Since the initial phonecall I was contacted to say that my price range / properties I wished to view were no longer available & I was told I needed to increase my monthly budget by £200 or I would not get anywhere. This was communicated to me just 2 days prior to viewing. As a result I did not view with L & S.

They’ll solicit a good review and then turn around and treat you like crap. Completely unprofessional and will lie to cover their ass, and then when you call them out on it they demand to know if you have proof, which they’re careful to make sure you won’t have. Refuse to send maintenance, of course, and then blame someone in the office for the “mistake” and act like victims about it, as if you aren’t without power and water and a toilet. Never been so happy to move away from

The Holmfirth Office have excelled themselves again!Our property was let from start of marketing to tenants moving in 19 days then due to a change in circumstances the tenant needed to be released from their contract early so in stepped the Holmfirth team and achieved the same time scale again. David’s team are a real credit to Linley and Simpson, but a special mention must be made for Sue. She liased with the old tenants, the new ones and us as Landlords in an extremely professional manner enabling all parties to achieve the perfect arrangement!Well done to all the staff in HolmfirthBacon sandwiches all round I do believe David.

Booked a viewing with Linley & Simpson and was booked in with Amina on Tuesday to view a couple of flats. Immediately we clicked and it was a pleasure to walk around the city centre looking at apartment options. She was very knowledgeable and I could tell she had loads of experience in negotiating and dealing with clients as she was very professional and helpful. When chatting whilst walking to an apartment she said she liked her job because she enjoys helping people, and I really felt that as she called back later on and checked in with how I was getting on with my decisions. Overall, superstar customer service!

Had really good experiences with individual members of the team - notably Holly Searchfield - as our tenancy was coming to an end, my partner unfortunately ended up in intensive care, so I couldn’t move out of the house by the pre-agreed date. She was so patient with the whole situation and really made such a stressful time that little bit easier to deal with. She even followed up a couple of weeks later to check in on him, which was so unnecessarily kind. On the other hand, we had a lot of disappointing experiences with Linley and Simpson as a whole - it took them weeks to sort out a leak that was causing black mould to form around our electrical socket and that was warping all our floors. Our bed broke and needed replacing but all they did was send a handyman that screwed a piece of wood into the bottom of it. The 3 seater sofa that came with the flat needed replacing (simply due to old age/wear and tear), but they replaced it with a two seater chair that is closer to a dentist waiting room chair. When I got in touch with them, their reply was essentially “well there’s two of you on the tenancy and it’s a two seater” - the chair literally wasn’t big enough for us to sit next to each other side by side (we’re of average build). Ended up biting our tongue a lot because it felt like arguing with a brick wall over something that could and should have been so easily fixed
