An absolute delight to work with

As a first time buyer I had ideologies that buying a house would be fun and some what exciting. However in today's climate I encountered what could only be described as a lion's den. Estate agents that would advertise properties where they don't have access, had already sold or stating they only had access on a Tuesday at 11am. In short... after four months of experiencing this and still looking, I was ready to give up. Then I met Manuel and Katie at Bingley Branch of Linley and Simpson. My excitement was instantly restored. They answered questions, called me back, arranged viewings and after only a week I am in the process of buying my first dream home with them. I honestly cannot recommend them enough.

Terrible and unprofessional from the start

Terrible and unprofessional from the very beginning. Signed for a property we were told we could expect to move in within a month but later it was said the entire property needed redecorating and had to wait an indefinite period of time. Luckily got the keys on the exact same day my previous tenancy ended. However there was just a catalogue of errors after that; they sent emails to me meant for the previous tenant, they left Starbucks cups in the property when they came in “to do an inventory check” which wasn’t witnessed or signed by myself. The staff made misrepresentations what furniture would be available, leaving us to buy it all at the last minute. The oven wasn’t even plugged in and they told us it was a problem with the gas when in reality there wasn’t enough plug sockets behind the oven. The blinds were dirty when I moved in so I asked them to replace them, which they agreed they would and they sent 3 different people to take measurements for said blinds (yes not even joking) but we never saw any new blinds! There was broken old bits of furniture and bathroom tiles in the cupboard which I had to leave there as the landlord apparently wanted to use the cupboard as storage. Boiler has been shabby and useless since we moved in, the EPC rating is low and the place is generally all-round damp and Cold - it turned out though that there was a leak above the boiler and whole ceiling is about to cave in. The ceiling needs contractual work and they’re putting it off all the time. They’ve sent multiple people out to get a quote and yet they’ve done nothing and it’s been almost a month. Whole place is damp and mould is growing in every corner; I can only imagine it’s worsened by the fact there’s no window in the bathroom.
