Belvoir Harrogate are a family run business established by Bill Smith in 1994 and then joined by his son Barrie in 2003. Regarded as one of the towns leading letting agents specialising solely in residential lettings we have over forty years experience within our team, so whether you're looking to let out a property or rent one in Harrogate, Knaresborough and the surrounding villages we're here to help. GoogleAs an overseas landlord for 12 years , I have had a wide range of experiences with letting agents. I changed to using Belvoir in June 2019 following a bad experience with a tenant, and a not so helpful agent. Almost 2 years on I am very pleased with the outcome. Any Issues receive a sensible and quick response, with very good attention to detail and communication. (essential when overseas). GoogleAs this was the first time I had used a letting agency I was a bit nervous about what to expect. But I had no reason to as belvoir were fantastic with me and my girlfriend. They were very professional and made the move very quick and easy. The two people who we mostly spoke to were Kevin and Laura and they were both so friendly and helpful and they made it a stress free move! GoogleI have a special needs daughter with a therapy dog. House i was interested to view was on the market for a couple of months and the priced dropped so i explained my situation and landlord would consider her PAT dog which is a non malting toy cockapoo. Viewed house throughly, estate agent lady just stood there, hardly any knowledge of said property but after a few days consideration (no follow up calls) I decided to put in an application. I then called the next day to be told the landlord won't be accepting pets....this is discrimination against a working dog that is qualified in her services and its disgusting. Not only are these estate agents unable to do a job with customer service but mess you about wasting everyone's time. Still the house is on the market for 3 months now and has just been reduced by £150 a month this morning. Wake up Belvoir
Emma, I am sorry to hear you haven't been happy with our service. I understand that my colleague spoke to the landlord after your initial enquiry to see if he would accept your situation with a therapy dog. The landlord advised he would consider this, but after further thoughts he then decided against having any pets at all in his property. GoogleWe have been with Belvoir for a year now as tenants and they have been great. The staff are fantastic at replying to any concerns we may have, whilst also working hard to resolve them quickly. We are kept up to date with any admin changes/inspections that are due and they liaise with our landlady promptly should we wish to run anything past them. As well as a professional service the staff are also friendly and provide a great overall service.
