My review only refers to Nikita Harper from Foxtons Letting Support Department, who called me today to help me resolve several issues with my logging in to my Foxtons Account. She was helpful, courteous, and followed up on our conversations. I have nothing good to say about the rest of the Foxtons team, including people at the Head Office, who were not only unhelpful, but kept on transferring my call to other people in the Foxton organisation, who were of course not at their seats, but "please leave a message and I will get back to you". I wasted well over an hour of my time today on the phone trying to get Foxtons support to resolve a problem they have created.

Absolute scam of a company. I’ve never gone to a Foxtons viewing where the property was as advertised - e.g. they say it’s a 5 minute walk from the station and it ends up being a 20 minute walk. They’ll do anything to get you through the door of a property, in the hope that you’ll somehow fall in love with the Godforsaken place once you get there. It’s a bit like how men all say they’re 6’0 on dating apps and then hope that their mediocre personality will win you over when you realise they’re 5’9 in person. Also, if you give your number to one office, be prepared to have endless phone calls for the rest of your life. I once had 10 phone calls in one day from different offices I wasn’t registered with, all asking if I would like to register with them. This morning I’ve had four offices call so far and it’s only 11am. If you don’t pick up the phone, they just immediately call back - very convenient if you’re in a meeting or on another call. This is despite the fact that I have asked them to remove my number from their database. And they all have different numbers so blocking one does nothing, and you don’t know if it could be someone else calling so you inevitably have to pick up just in case. So basically, sign up for Foxtons if you want to be pestered for the rest of your life by absolute crooks!! How fun!!

GoogleWould give 0 stars if possible. Took 3 months to complete a change of tenancy, which normally takes a few weeks max? completely incompetent staff, never ever reply to any emails / rang my property manager I think 10 times in one week to discuss this urgent issue and she was always ‘in a meeting’/‘busy’ and I never ever got a call back. Is it not embarrassing to run a branch like this?? Unsure what service my landlord is even paying for at this stage

I use Alycia Levy as my property manager and have done so for several years and she is excellent, always going above and beyond. She is responsive, knowledgeable, providing excellent customer service and I am not sure what I would have done without her as she is always gets things sorted and organised and keeps me updated.

Absolutely terrible experience as a tenant. Apartment put on the market for sale and I had to suffer through six months of viewings although my contract did not stipulate this. Very inconsiderate and once I gave notice to move out the property was immediately put on the market for a higher rent. Agents come for viewing with no notice and have no respect. Several deductions taken from deposit creating various inane reasons . Avoid at all costs.

Non-existent communication. Viewings done by an unprepared team: didn't know level of service charge, exposure, if the appliances were new or not, size of the flat or rooms. One claimed we had replaced the kitchen (we hadn't), another that the Hue Lights we installed were staying in the flat for the buyer (we never said that).

I like the way I was shown around several different properties in a row, instead of just seeing the one I requested, which many other agents normally do. Would definitely recommend and come back when looking for properties in the future:)

We listed our house with foxtons and the service has been abysmal. There’s been next to no effort or movement with trying to sell the house, no communications with any options etc. You get an account online which shows upcoming viewings - almost all viewings ‘booked’ haven’t actually happened and they don’t contact us to confirm it either. You expect a lot from an estate agent with their level of commission - dont bother.

ALL MY emails were ignored, I called up to make a viewing one time slot they couldn’t do so they booked me in for another time, they were a no show on the day. When I called up to find out what was happening I spoke to Shama/shona? I was told the property had sold. NO apology at all from the girl that booked it and no explanation at all why they didn’t respond for days. - CROUCH END

GoogleWorking with Steven Patten was a pleasure. He has been very helpful to find my parents -who don’t speak English very well- and our dog a pet friendly flat that falls in our budget. He is very approachable and professional. Until we found the flat that meets all our criteria, he was kind enough to drive my mother to every viewing himself and drop her back off. During this time, because I was not in the country, he made sure to FaceTime me to show me the properties and was patient enough to communicate with my mom through my translations. I highly recommend this agent to everyone.

GoogleI have just rented a great property in a perfect location through Foxtons Crouch End. I had previously rented through Foxtons and knew they were efficient and good at what they do. However on this occasion I do feel my agent Elettra Bailey went above and beyond to help me. I desperately needed a property at short notice after almost 3 months of searching, making offers and being rejected. I was close to giving up. Elettra called me about my application very quickly and organised a viewing for me very quickly. She was incredibly knowledgeable about the property, answered my questions promptly and assisted me throughout the entire process. She was really understanding and kind about my situation too. The online rental process via My Foxtons is very straightforward even for a sleep deprived night shift worker and felt much safer than places like Open Rent (but that is a different review). 10/10 recommend. Elettra you were brilliant and I can't thank you enough!

This bad for landlords because they get poor management, bad for tenants because they get poor representation, and bad for the industry because estate / letting agents are no longer accountable.
