We decided to list our house for sale with Toby from the Hampton branch 48 hours ago, after seeing the buyer demand and organisation they had with a neighbouring property. Within 48 hours of agreeing to list (and the brochure and website still being prepared) we have over 20 viewings booked for the weekend coming. That can only be due to the work of Toby and his team in proactively letting interested buyers know about the property. That shows the speed, confidence and sheer number of active people that Dexters have on their files. Well done Toby and his team! Despite viewings yet to take place, We have full confidence in Toby to deliver.

The dexters team was amazing and very fast acting. Sebastian and the rest of the rental team were great and made sure they everything happened in amazing timing. As my first time renting it could not have gone better. They made sure we knew every detail and helped us through the whole process with extremely caring and considerate understanding as to us having practically no knowledge of the process. Would definitely recommend them to anyone who is moving or selling in the Hampton area.

I would not recommend Dexters for the following reasons : 1. Unethical Behaviour : A property was on sale with two estate agents ( Dexters was one of them ) . I had not viewed the property via Dexters. As soon as I put in an offer via an alternate estate agent, Dexters called the sellers and shared by Personal information along with details of offers I had put in for other properties without my permission. 2. Properties for sale do not reflect the true status of the property: There are properties on their site that are under offer / STC. They do not reflect this on their site / Rightmove. When you call them asking for one of these properties, they try and sell you other properties on their books. 3. Encourage Gazumping : After having an offer accepted and paying for lawyers / Survey's, they actively market the property resulting in losses for buyers. 4. Try and push their own conveyancing firms / surveyors.

I had an offer accepted on a property in Hampton and proceeded to do legal work having been told that chain was closed. I made it clear at the time verbally and on all the offer forms that my own buyers had put a deadline of 4 months to exchange and complete. This was a hard deadline as they were renting and had been given notice as the landlord was selling up. I was advised that the chain was closed as the vendor was buying a property also being marketed by Dexters and the vendor of that property was not reliant on the sale proceeds for their onward purchase. I therefore reasonably assumed that the transaction could complete in the 4 months. I also discussed this with Katie the agent for the vendor and she concurred. However, a few months in prior to her going on holiday and when the legal work on my sale and purchase were nearing completion I asked if she could agree a likely exchange date for the contracts. My calls were fielded and her manager confirmed the chain was not closed. I was left with no choice but to find another property to buy as I would have lost my sale. This fiasco cost me £1000 in wasted legal fees and a lot of upset. Dexters don't seem particularly scrupulous and they didn't much seem to care, matter of fact telling me that they had another interested buyer. Not surprising when they refused to list the property as sold subject to contract. They wanted to use it as a hook to get interested buyers to see other properties and assured me that they were not doing viewings on the property once my offer had been accepted. Buyers and sellers in Hampton beware. I notice the property still has not exchanged so their tactics do not advantage those they act on behalf of and pay their commission either!
