GoogleI approached Gascoigne Pees initially to let my property and after speaking with Adam Ali in lettings, asked if he could help me with purchasing other buy to lets. I have been very impressed by Adam's insight, attention to detail, efficiency and dedication. He has been exceptional in letting my property and in providing me with useful advice and research on buying other buy to let properties, including connecting me with colleagues in sales. I very much appreciate all his efforts and support throughout. He has made the whole process of letting my property uncomplicated, well organised and enjoyable. Had the best experience with the lettings team. Ben showed us around the property originally and answered any question we could have. He always kept us updated on every step of the application process for our property. Overall a really great experience, easy, fast and would recommend them to a friend when looking for their next property.

GoogleTotally unprofessional & insulting way of dealing with customers right from the beginning when i called to book a house viewing - I was told by the agent martina “many people think they could afford this house but they can’t” ...this is not for a million bucks worth house but for a mere £380k one !!!! After viewing and placing an offer that was accepted by the seller.. our deal was called off and given to someone else for exact price without giving us any proper explanation or heads up - we kept thinking the house was ours when in the background they agreed to another offer which was a devastating experience . This could have been dealt in a more considerate way by them but they were totally insensitive towards buyers. Would never ever buy or sell our properties with gascoigne pees nor recommend them.

GoogleVery unprofessional through the whole process and me and my husband were so disappointed. We currently moved in the flat. We've paid partial rent and ask our letting negotiator to keep this for us soon after viewing. We've given them reference and asked them the certificate of cleaning and arrange the date for another viewing before moving in. The person in charge totally ignored these requests and hasn't respond us anything. My husband call the office 5 days before we moving in because we needed to arrange the removal. Finally gave us a time for handing over the key. On the moving day, there was a man who is not from Gascoigne- Pees, gave us key and explained us a very brief of our flat. Fire alarm is not working and just left a spare gadget (They want us to fit on the ceiling? Neither of my husband and I are not electrician!). The room has got cobwebs everywhere, clogs in drain, wall was full of stains. Some doors of cupboards are off from hinges. I called the office but still didn't give me an explanation what happened or what they can do for us. However, this company pushed me and made sure to pay the balance over the phone. Also tenancy agreement, they called me next day and rushed me that we needed to sign it and send them back ASAP, otherwise we would lose the right to live in the flat. That's a rule, fair enough but it's been very busy day for cleaning by ourselves and unpacking, so we didn't have enough time to read through the contract. It's been 1 week since we moved in but they don't tell us anything if they're trying to sort out our problem until we ring them. Absolutely unacceptable service from the begin till now. Our neighbours are lovely and good area. So we're not moving out of course but definitely avoid this agent in future and already anxious to keep in touch with them for loads of repairs.NegativeResponsiveness, Quality, Professionalism

GoogleI was in great hurry to move into a rented property at the earliest. Then I approached Gascoigne office in Basingstoke. I had an interaction with Gemma and asked her for viewing appointment of one property immediately. She positively responded and I had a viewing after an hour and finalized the property on Friday noon and moved into the flat on Tuesday evening. I should really appreciate CARLY'S support here to complete all the documentation and other formalities in very short time. She was very helpful by stretching her time to handover the keys to me. She was very approachable to get my all queries clarified. Overall I had very good experience.

GoogleWe bought our first home through Gascoigne-Pees, and cannot fault them at all. The team did a great job in understanding our needs and highlighting properties that would support our growing family while still meting our budget. The end result was a gorgeous Victorian house that had no nasty surprises once we completed. James and his colleagues did amazing work in liaising with us, our mortgage provider and our solicitor throughout the process, helping us finish the purchase in an incredible eight weeks. They patiently provided further explanation when we needed it, making us feel very well looked after. I'd recommend the team at Gascoigne-Pees Basingstoke in a heartbeat to any first-time buyer looking to get on the property ladder.

GoogleOne of the worst estate agents I have dealt with and I have been renting for over 8 years. This review is of the company in general, at the end of it they only care about the landlord and will leave you to fend for yourself with little support. Also there repair service is shocking and unless your house is pretty much destroyed dont expect things to be fixed within a few weeks. Much better estate agents out there

GoogleI was looking for tenant to rent my property. First of all I speoke with Gemma, who was very professional and told me about latest legislation. Than I appoint Gascoigne. So Richard met me in the property for valuation, I was pleased with his market knowledge. All their team are very professional specially Carly, who was quick to reply my email. So their team helped me to find the tenant. I will defenately recommend them to the other landlord.

The description of the property didn't mention no children at all, it even said that those with children it had schools nearby, I think the communication was very poor, and should be stated in the description no children to avoid waste of time.

They would lie and say anything to get you to sign the dotted line(basingstoke office) , they claimed the property was managed by them but once I ran into my 1st issue in a few days they refuse to do anything. Absolutely disgusting, steer clear of them

GoogleUnfortunately will not be using any branch of Gascoigne-Pees in the future nor recommending to friends or family. The first house we viewed with them was lovely and was advertised from the start as a no chain listing. As first-time buyers this got us very interested and we quickly booked in to view the house ASAP. The first viewing was with Emily who admitted she just came back from holiday and didn't know anything about the house which was very unprofessional. The second viewing was with James who knew more about the house but not enough to convince a sale and it was on the third viewing I met the owner. My meeting with the owner was the sole reason that convinced us to follow through on the purchase, she deserves an Oscar for the way she looked after the house. The house set the standard for the next 8 houses we viewed and none compared. We advised to Gascoigne of when we could look to complete as having to get time off work and give appropriate notice to current landlords for rented property and solicitor process etc. We were informed the seller already bought property to move into and this would be a simple NO-CHAIN transaction...WRONG. It was only until we got the contract pack from our solicitor that we get spammed emails/calls by Andrew Blake that it is a CHAIN property and third party selling to our owner were "threatening" to pull out. This was complete false advertising and we are tempted to report this behavior to trading standards! The "threat" made no logical sense as we were already 5 weeks into the purchase and would have just made them all wait even longer for new potential buyers. We did not want to risk losing this house and believe this estate agent bullied us into a position of signing the contract the day we got it and forcing us to move the planned completion date forward when it should be mutually acceptable for all parties involved. After much pressure we got the contract signed, exchange took place and Andrew agreed to have one of the team meet us at the property with the keys so that we can do a once over of the house. Conveniently on completion day no agent was available as obviously Gascoigne-Pees got their commission from the seller and all focus was on new customers they can thrive of. All in all I don't want anything else to do with Gascoigne-Pees. I do feel a bit bad for the seller as she paid them and did their job for them.

GoogleWe had a fantastic buying experience through Gascoigne-Pees. We popped into the Basingstoke branch just on the off-chance, and ten weeks later we’re about to move in to our new home. We couldn’t have been better looked after, or kept better informed of progress. Both Jim Gordon and Andy Blake proved that excellent customer service, good humour and patience, are still qualities available in spades if you are lucky enough to deal with this excellent Estate Agency. I really couldn’t be happier.
