Protheroe Property is the best estate agency I've used - head and shoulders above the rest. Adam, Karen & team made renting an easy and stress-free experience. Always at the end of the phone, or quick to answer an email. They have a simplified approach / process for dealing with rentals or issues during tenancy unlike other agents. Adam is a wonderful, warm and friendly person with more focus on human centric services than just being a state agent for business. We had experience of other estate/letting agents in Halifax after letting out a property there for years and then putting it on the market, but we weren't having much success with them. I had two word of mouth recommendations for Protheroe and decided to reach out. Adam took the time to chat through things with me and didn't make me feel rushed. He knows the area and his valuations are spot on. The photography was great; he did a video tour on social media with thousands of views and he also advertised on the big online property sites. Even at a slow time of year he sold the house within weeks and for about 20k more than another agent valued it at. Our house sale went through in just a month and the new owner has taken them on as letting agents. Their service is brilliant; they are trustworthy and honest; and I wouldn't hesitate to use them again for both sales and rentals. Edit: we have since used Protheroe for another house sale when my dad moved into care. The whole team were great once again; communication excellent; always personable; went the extra mile. This time we had some tricky buyers and Adam was able to keep the sale on track when we thought it would fall through. Another super quick house sale!

We previously used Protheroe to see our terrace in Bell Hall and the sale went through in just a few weeks and for about 20% more than our previous agent had tried to sell it for. Properties are advertised in many places and their social media presence is very good with photos and videos of properties widely shared on there too. We recently had to sell my father in law's house due to a move into care. The property was sold within a few days and completed in a much shorter time than we expected. This house was a different to the previous one we sold; out of town and a much higher price bracket but Protheroe again had their Midas touch on it. The family wanted to get three valuations out of caution. The other two agencies knew the area very well and both valued higher than Protheroe. That's because they were just trying to get the business and the house would never have sold for that amount. Adam won't play those games; he'll give you a realistic sale price and your house will shift. The buyers were tricky at times and we did start to think will the sale fall through. Adam calmed their nerves / made them see sense and the house sale once again went through in record time. We were chuffed to complete before our neighbours who'd been going through their house sale for what felt like forever! Adam also won over the next door neighbours who he met when visiting the property; they thought he was lovely! Adam is supported by the rest of the team there and our interactions have always been positive. Organised; excellent communication; personable. Thanks again for all your help.

I have entrusted my home to Protheroe property to rent out for nearly a decade and the service is brilliant, so when another property I own became available to let out, there was only ever one place I was going. The experience and local knowledge combined with the contacts Adam and his team has were all expertly employed, to get the correct certification and minor jobs done in order to get the house on the rental market and let out in a specific time frame.This was all completed and I was kept informed at every step of the process. After contacting many agents, Protheroe where the only ones who took my details and said they would call if something came up which is how I got my current house.
