Applied for a property online, I was called by an agent and told to come to a property for sale for a viewing a few days later. Booked a coach, a hotel, and public transport to come out for it. I showed up and, nothing. Nobody was there. Called them back and was told that my name wasn’t written down for any viewings that day. Connell’s lack of organisation wasted my time, I’m miffed for sure.

I would highly recommend Connells in Halesowen. Jo and her team were professional from start to finish. Impartiality Bradley who we dealt with was brilliant. He showed maturity beyond his years and was fantastic at communication and keeping in touch. There were times when we thought we would loose our sale but Bradley negotiated on our behalf and managed to keep everything on track. I truly believe that if it wasn’t for Bradley’s expertises we wouldn’t be in our new home now.

Can't speak highly enough of Sam his advice was honestly a game changer for me. He does not just look at mortgages, I found it so helpful to get an accurate idea of affordability from around 20 different banks. He also checked stamp duty amounts which was where I'd actually gone wrong and if Sam had not checked the new amount for April 2025 I would have been in a difficult situation. This was all avoid by the initial free appointment Sam offers which I can't thank the office enough for introducing this to me.

Choose this company at your peril. Don't believe the patter when they come to value your house about the service they provide. It's very poor. Be wary of the contract length. They get you tied in for 26 weeks. Just imagine, 6 months of poor levels of service trying to sell your house, but you cannot exit the process. My current house sale has just fallen through. Although this was not their fault, there was little or no communication with them between the sale and when it fell through. They are now holding me to ransom, insisting that I cannot instruct a competent agent for 28 days .BE WARNED

Connells Halesowen lettings team have been completely unprofessional in the service they have provided me. A male colleague on the lettings team, didn’t catch his name as they don’t tell you, proceeded to tell lies on a property I was interested in in Cradley Heath. As soon as the advert for the property come on site I rang, he advised me he would ring me back once he had spoken to the landlord to arrange viewings. The call back never came, I called again a day or so later to be told they had issue getting the keys and would call me. A few days later the property is advertised as let agreed. I rang the same colleague to be told it was a very popular property and they have chosen someone else. I wasn’t even offered a viewing and I definitely pass the Criteria you have for the property. Very unprofessional and you shouldn’t lie to customers. On this basis I will not be using your company in the future and will be telling anyone to avoid your company as you clearly have no decorum on providing a proper service to potential clients. Avoid.

Review regarding Negotiator, Ben Hulme. After having a very standoffish and quite frankly rude, sales executive at a new build site who presumed knew all about my financial position and what I could or could not afford, I wasn’t overly looking forward to going for the viewing on Waterside Grove in Wollaston. I have to say Ben completely turned that around by being the executive everyone would want. He was approachable, friendly, polite and could actually have a bit of a giggle with. Even if we don’t proceed with this property, I wanted leave a review regarding Ben who whole heartedly deserves recognition. He is truly a rising star. People are very quick to criticise but not so quick to compliment and I felt he fully deserved that latter. Well done Ben!

Me and my partner have received great advice and customer service from Alex Swingewood from the moment we started applying for a mortgage and getting it accepted Alex has been friendly and pro active on phone calls and emails to us dealing with our issues promptly and efficiently. From start to finish, Rosie kept my wife and I informed of virtually everything we needed to know about our mortgage.
