TrustpilotAppalling letting and estate agents
Appalling letting and estate agents, stay well clear. Gave out 2 sets of keys to builders when property was being refurbished , builder locked themselves out , all the keys on the one key chain which hunters had given out resulting in locks being changed. Came from London to have an appointment at the property to go over the refurbishment and get back on the market , Tracey did not turn up despite confirming with her several times the few days before, sales department no better , when discussing looking to see the boy said all leasehold properties are worthless and unsaleable due to cladding, wouldn’t listen or couldn’t understand our property did not have cladding and just said it was worthless as soon as he knew it was leasehold. Utter rubbish. Terrible estate and letting agents, terrible communication , they just cannot be bothered. Oh still have the tenants deposit after a month as we claimed for cleaning on it, they can’t be bothered chasing up the dps for that either nor will respond about it. Again can’t be bothered stay clear. Vile !

TrustpilotExtremely bad service
Extremely bad service. They served me with a section 21 notice but informed me of the wrong date of termination back in June. This caused me to leave the house a month earlier than I had to AND paid for a full months extra rent when I was not in the property. And now despite having left the property in august I am still receiving rental invoices from them. Despite informing them of the problem each time they still havnt resolved it!A few years ago they switched to an online portal for reporting issues with the property that is awful as well.

TrustpilotGrossly overpriced 16 Hilton Road
Grossly overpriced 16 Hilton Road, Sharston by £20,000 (valued at £190,000 by an independent party sent by the bank). Never came back to me to let me know if my renewed offer for the asking price was accepted, I only found out once it was re-added to Rightmove for £210,000 (Originally up for £210,000). Unless you are willing to pay at least £10,000 over what the property is worth I would avoid wasting your time on this property. Communication in general was very poor throughout the 3 months since my original offer was accepted. If you don't want to waste your time I would opt against using Hunters again.

TrustpilotRude, abrupt and impatient staff member
I rang Wallasey Hunters and spoke to a cocky, rude, impatient little lady called Amy! I asked for particulars for a property that I couldn’t find on the website, which had a for sale sign outside. She rudely responded “it is on the website” and proceeded to tell me that I had the address wrong and that she would email me the particulars of the address she thought was correct. So I checked again on the website, I then walked to the property to see the Hunters for sale board outside. I was correct with my address Amy! So I called back. The second girl who answered was a delight, friendly and helpful and figured out that the for sale board hadn’t been taken down, but the property had sold. The first girl has put me off using them to sell my property or buy a property with the Hunters for sale sign outside! Plus Amy never sent the property particulars of the address she wrongly thought I was talking about!

TrustpilotHunters? You need to be one to find any decent service!
If you are thinking of using this agent to manage your property for whatever reason-DON"T. Unfortunately I own (shared freehold) a flat within a block they manage. They hold meetings in corridors, schedule work without providing sufficient time for owners/tenants to organise time from work, fail to check the quality of the work done and react as an employer rather than, as they are, an employee. The meetings are therefore poorly attended and under any other management meeting structure would be considered as non-quorate. Unsatisfactory service at a high price.

TrustpilotHi I'm an international student was in…
Hi I'm an international student was in search of a room and approached hunters for letting, the agent was very kind and generous and showed the room and it was good house too I and my brothers were interested so we gave the deposit to agent But after that owner rejected us to not give the property with some issues that he wanted a couple in there. So, we thought to leave the home and asked the agent about deposit. He said he will transfer the amount within evening but he did not transfer instead told that we won't get money back due to some I issues. We were literally no where on earth we did not have money and home. So we found home somewhere by gods grace and then we called the agent and made him to speak to our well known and kind woman and then he he was ready to give amount but he couldn't transfer amount within time.He used to just say I'm transferring amount by today tommorow and it went on. So, it has been 20 days since we are approaching the hunters but no reply to mails and not receiving the calls at all. Today also he said that he will transfer amount by evening we are stuck in between his promises. So, I request everyone not to believe hunters so easily think many times before giving him money. I'm ashamed that how can they betray someone who has come to study here in this beautiful country.

TrustpilotVery poor experience with hunters
Very poor experience with hunters, they delayed our process throughout, they didn’t request searches until week 6 of process when everyone else was ready to complete, 3 weeks later we’re all still sat waiting for a move date due to this. They fobbed us off all the way through blaming others parties when in fact once checking with people such as local authority the delays were with this solicitor. We will never buy/ sell with anyone using these solicitors again worse moving experience of my life (and I’ve moved a lot)

TrustpilotAvoid if you can!
Future tenants! Please avoid this company if you can, specially the office located in Surrey Quays.I've rent a room with them as one of my ex-friends had an Apartment with them, they asked me to pay £250 for a "references" which I did at that time but never received any contract from them & give the deposit of the room to the main tenant,( I did receive a notification from the DPS, informing the deposit was received and "secured" but it was put it to a different property, I didn't really pay much attention at that time as I've trusted the company and DPS) it was ok for me at that time as I will be lmoving with my friend anyway (wrong mistake!) April 2020, I've received an email from DPS to claim my deposit which I did, I've explained everything in details, providing all the evidence an information but nothing has been resolve, they just "throwing the ball" to different people. Such a disappointment!! The company acts with such a dodgy behaviours.

TrustpilotDISGUSTING BEHAVIOUR! I’ve rang 3 time’s to view properties…
I’ve rang 3 time’s to view properties in LS17 Alwoodley. I am property developer. I already have 4 properties in LS17. I have been spoken to rudely by Tracey (head of branch). She wants you to put your property on sale before seeing their properties! She even said it was waste of a call. This is appalling behaviour and disgusting tactic of getting hunters to advertise properties. Please move over to Preston baker I’ve bought my last property by them. Very polite and recent got my house valuated by them. Ls17 is best run by Preston baker 100% give a fair decisions on viewings and definitely know how to talk to potential clients. Hunters sort out your attitude your not the only estate agents in LS17! DO NOT ADVERTISE YOUR PROPERTY WITH HUNTERS! they are just taking properties in but not selling!

TrustpilotHunters Tring ans Surrounding Villages…
Hunters Tring & Surrounding Villages strike again! Amazing service from Caroline, Iain and the whole team. Helped us get our house sold at 98% of the asking price and keep everything going through the Covid-19 Epidemic. They chased everything down to completion even with a few complications along the way! On top of that they found us a short-term rental around the corner which suited all our needs and gave us a stop gap whilst we sold another property. We are customers for Life (just a shame that you only cover Tring and surrounding villages 😊). If you want an Agent that actually works hard for you and goes outside the box, then don’t hesitate to use Caroline and her brilliant Team.

TrustpilotHorrible experience and nasty staff
I have dealt with hunters in my life time for the purposes of my parents buying a house and a business and myself moving to a rental property. All I can say is they were consistently unprofessional uneducated and rude. I naively didn’t think it would matter when renting a property who the letting agents were however I was wrong. The biggest item of contention was the deposit. They had deliberately left items off the inventory that were damaged and dirty. I had added additional notes to say for example the carpet was heavily soiled, but because I did not list one particularly piece of damage they would not accept this. The staff were very rude- which is so unnecessary it’s not their money and I was nice throughout, far nicer than a lot of people would be.There’s many more things I could list but all I can say is to avoid them I have since used Hudson moody and they have been a dream lovely staff no matter who you speak to and very competent diligent record keeping.

TrustpilotHunters Pontefract
What a joke this place is! Rented a property from them in august, viewed the property and it looked lovely, 3 bedroom house with a garage in a nice quite area for £650 a month. That’s where the this well sounding house then goes wrong. We’re supposed to have 2 sets of keys, they gave us 1 complete set and a set that fit none of the doors (who knows who’s keys I had and who had my keys?) We had no running hot water for 3 weeks. All of which were reported immediately. That’s when the problems then go even worse, after redecorating ( which the property needed) with their permission most rooms to the house and de weeding all of the gardens, we then realised why the property was so cheap. As the weather turned worse in autumn the boiler had to be put on, the thermostat didn’t work and the boiler was on constantly meaning the bills were ridiculously high, every window in the property was blown and misted the bay window was collapsing so let mould in the front of property, my daughter has a lung condition so this really effected her ( which hunters was made aware of) there were holes in the brick by the back door, when the toilet was flushed the downpipe leaked on to the back door the list goes on and on. We asked for early release of our tenancy ( a month and a half) which the landlord agreed to after a member of hunters had been out to assess the property, they then phoned on the day of my partners nans funeral to say the landlord had changed his mind ( which I never got the message after calling back twice and leaving messages) We moved out of the property in December due to the issues and the fact they weren’t being resolved after countless attempts to contact hunters. They finally got back in contact in January and said if we had just dropped the keys off that would have ended the tenancy? After weeks of trying to contact them. They have since taken the deposit back and rented out the property in pretty much the same condition! Stay away from hunters. They do nothing to help or communicate and are all about the money not the health and well-being of the tenants living in the properties, the tenants are simply cash cows!

TrustpilotSTAY AWAY FROM THEM!!!!!!
I’ve been dealing with this agency for the past 5 years, and once again they’ve proven the worst agency/agents ever. I deal with their branch in Surrey Quays, London, and their service is amongst the worst I’ve ever had in any kind of customer service, plus their incompetence is beyond belief. We’ve had the name of the lead tenant changed from the DPS for someone who doesn't even live here. DPS tells us the agency requested the name, (which the agency rudely denied) and then we find out that only 1 of the current tenants has the name in the DPS although the deposit has obviously been payed by the 3 of us. On top of that, after showing our obvious concern with the situation, we’re told by the agency not to worry, because “it should be fine”. Disgraceful!!!STAY AWAY FROM THEM!!!

TrustpilotThe worst Agency ever
The worst Agency ever. They looking every way to win your deposit. Please do never work with them. I was renting a small studio flat. When i first entered the flat the bath was a bit cracked. I never reported cause i thought they know about that. By the time this cracked became worst and worst. When i left property i did changed the bath with my own costs , i cleaned the property with professional cleaning service. Above that they said me that they put other people to clean it again cause it was not cleaned enough, and this cost was 240 pounds, finally i paid for that as well. Before all of these they said me i need to send keys via post to their agency. I did send it to them. After i payed the bath and the cleaning services, they said me that they need to keep some deposit because the keys has not arrived to their office and i didnt send the proof of postage which they never said me that it need to be posted with recorded post or to send them proof of postage. They are Scams do never work with them guys, they don't care how you feel or anything they just want to steal money from you.

TrustpilotUnfortunately once again America…
Unfortunately once again America succumbs to its usual 2-dimensional plots and characters with yet another load of revenge programming loaded with a heavy dose of violence. Predictably, the line is clearly defined between good and evil. Each episode we can look forward to inventive ways in which a healthy cross section of races kill evil Nazis, executing them with catchy one-liners and witty monologues. Most of this garbage rests on a good Jewish teenager who joins a team of what seems like movie extras in order to track down the evildoers and plot their demise.

GoogleTLDR: In summary, once you sign the lease good luck getting any response for queries or concerns, when you move out they will try to leech every last penny out of you. Would highly discourage anyone from dealing with them.
My experience with these people:
When we move in, we notice that the balcony has not been cleaned and is full of dried leaves and twigs. Upon informing Hunters they refused to have it cleaned even though they were obliged to. We tolerated.
We then realised a few things in the house that weren't working: like half the light fixtures, half the heaters, the washer/dryer, the oven light, one out of two large burners on the hob, one of the bathroom towel heaters, air vent in the toilet.
When we informed hunters of this, they dilly dallied and tried to use cheap ways of shirking responsibility (like outright lying). This went on for THREE MONTHS before they did anything. When we decided to move out, they suggested we let them hire cleaners on our behalf and that it would cost up to £X. Turns out that through a myriad of vague reasons and more lies, they wanted to charge us £4X. When we dug our heels in and threatened to go to the DPS for a dispute resolution, they agreed to settle for £1.5X.
Unprofessional, unreliable, incompetent and tried to lie and sneak out of doing their job.

GoogleWe had to apply for the HMO licence for my property and Deena has proved to be extremely helpful throughout the whole process, she joined Hunters with a large portfolio of contacts in the industry, which is always an asset, and she then combined this portfolio and Hunters in house database of suppliers to make sure that the required certificates were produced on time, she liaised perfectly well and very smoothly with the tenants , kept lines of communication always very clear and transparent and handled what indeed was a complicated situation with care, dedication and understanding of the landlord requirements, going literally the extra mile by making herself available out of office hours too in order to get the job done. Highly recommended her and the agency for the way they proved they add value and deliver an outstanding service to landlords. If you own a property in the area and are considering having it properly and professionally and efficiently managed, I highly recommend Hunters.

TrustpilotSTAY AWAY!
I rented a property for 6 months from this company and it’s by far the most horrific and unprofessional company I’ve ever come across. I got my keys and on entering the property you could smell how dirty it was. The carpet in living room had been so badly worn it had holes in it (when I view the property before it had tenants living in it and this as covered by furniture). Some of the rooms were wallpapered. Obviously lack of cleaning done. I did the inventory hive where you tick of the picture taken by the estate a gent matched the description, it did so I ticked it. All this was via email and before I got the keys to actually see it bare. I was horrified at the state of the place and called them immediately. Banister rail was loose, the back door had dropped, the front door leaked, all interior doors were very hard to open, the showers had been leaking as there was mould on kitchen ceiling directly below, boiler lost pressure when the heating was on and much more. They rectified a few things. Now over the 6 months I was there they did get things sorted (4months before an electrician was employed to fix the smoke alarms). Now I did not receive my full bond back as they took money off me £15 for dust on light fitting, and £25 for paint work that had been scratched (previous tennant painted white paint on brown plastic windowsills). I left the property in an immaculate state. It was much cleaner then when I moved in. Besides Annabelle being the most stuck up rude and unprofessional person I also think I’ve been misled and taken advantage of. As i imagine they took bond money off previous tenants for the decorating issues they did not however rectify this and restore the house to neutral decor. I don’t mind find taken off if I have damaged anything but they seem to take your money and not repair anything!
