GoogleBefore renting, I looked at these reviews and thought - well, I’m an experienced renter, if everything goes well, I’d have nothing to worry about. If you feel this way, PLEASE reconsider and save yourself the trouble.
RMA does not value your time, take care of their properties, or have any semblance of competence. Worst of all, they WILL try to exploit you and take as much of your deposit as possible.
After our agent (Emma Kearney) completely fumbled the replacement or a broken appliance, she ignored us for months until we moved out, at which point Silas Singh said they’d take £750 out of our deposit for it. Even trying to sort this out with the DPS is excruciating, as RMA takes a week to reply to any email that isn’t them asking you for money. In the end, the DPS resolved that we’d only pay £50!
My advice to potential tenants is to seek out an agency less incompetent, negligent, and exploitative than RMA, i.e. any other agency in town. My advice to former tenants is to seek out the DPS and Property Ombudsman for compensation, as they were established to protect renters from this exact type of estate agent.

GoogleIt was a pleasure dealing with RMA this week, especially our property manager, Farhan. Our tenants reported a few maintenance issues which, in my experience with other agencies, usually take a long time to resolve. To our surprise, Farhan dealt with everything so promptly and efficiently that I felt compelled to leave a five-star review. Huge thanks to the RMA team for the fantastic service!

GoogleI strongly advise any students to NEVER sign a contract with RMA. Maintenance number doesn’t work, there are massive oversights on major problems such as internal and external water leaks into electrical sockets, no checks carried out on the property before move-in day so was in a dirty unkempt condition, and constant back and forth over issues that have been raised 6+ months prior.

GoogleWe had an overall great experience renting a student flat with RMA- special thanks to Robin Ajit who was responsive whenever we needed any help, and to Marta Romanowska (the lettings admin). They were fair and very informative throughout our tenancy and would recommend them. When we had any issues in the property the maintenance company were contacted swiftly and ensured that everything was up to scratch. Thank you RMA!

GoogleI rented through RMA for three years and would strongly advise against using them if you have any choice.
During the tenancy, communication was consistently poor. Maintenance requests were dealt with very slowly, and contractors often turned up without any notice at random times.
The check-out process has been unbelievably bad. A full month after moving out, I have still received no communication about my deposit, despite calling daily and being told I need to speak to my property manager (Silas), who never returns calls.
When moving out, I specifically asked to be told within seven days if a reclean was required so I could send back the professional cleaners. Instead, RMA waited until 5:05pm on the final day, when the free reclean window had already expired, to tell us one was needed. I had no choice but to pay an additional fee to send the cleaners back, which I did to ensure the property was left in good order. Even the landlord has since confirmed the property was in good condition, yet I am still waiting for any update on the deposit return. I will now have to go through the DPS as RMA are unwilling to return the deposit.
If you have any choice, avoid renting with RMA.

GoogleWell where do we start…..!
Caernarfon branch- booked to view a property & I asked if any similar property with my specs around same area. Lad said he didn’t know and best look on rightmove! Surely you should know what job is.
Colwyn bay office- put offer in on house and ended up pulling out due to vendor issues. Was told by by them “they’d tell them (vendors) to leave by my completion date” and she passed me to manger who was totally intimidating on the call. Guilt trips “they have children” (they were living in the house I wished to buy & I have children and was homeless) then “would take ages to buy another house” then when I stood by my decision he slammed the phone down.
Was left voice nail couple hours later saying there had “been a development”. No email about said development
Was phoned again and was told “they’d tell could potentially complete in 2 weeks” I declined so she slammed phone down. I believe this was salvage tactics as nothing was sent in writing regarding these fictitious developments. Was then sent withdrawal of sale.
Total nightmare, rude and intimidating not to mention overpriced (a common theme with their properties)
Avoid

Google★☆☆☆☆ Untrustworthy and Overpriced, Avoid
I rented a property through this agent, and every year he tried to increase the rent without justification. When I compared with other agents, I found similar or even better properties being rented for 30, 40% less. He consistently overprices his listings well above market rates.
On top of that, he's unresponsive, never acts in a timely manner, and always sides with the landlord. As a tenant, you’re left with zero support. Completely unprofessional, I would not recommend him to anyone.

GoogleIf I could give 0 stars I would but instead I’ll give these money hungry people a huge lawsuit .
As a student I decided to rent with them and the house clearly had ventilation issues but I did everything I could in my power to handle this with a Pro Breeze 10 L dehumidifier , windows open 24/7 . Using mould cleaners etc .
I 2 weeks ago found out both my coats are covered in mould and they were both worth 2000£ . The agency has been so rude to me and has literally hanged up on me . I believe they think I am just a stupid foreigner but I’m actually a British Citizen and I also know my rights hence please do not rent with them ! They are a scam ! They will treat NHS workwear and NHS students like dirt for extra money !!!!

GoogleThe agents themselves never replied to emails and when the deposit was due to be given back for our tenancy they took a very long time to give the details of the issues with the house - these issues included charging us for cleaning for a cupboard full of the landlords junk which was there at the start of the tenancy! STAY AWAY they will most definitely over charge u for the deposit at the end

GoogleIf you rent from this agency, expect to get scammed out of your money at the end of the tenancy.
RMA tried to deduct £1315 from our deposit (between 4 of us) at the end of the tenancy for cleaning, damages to the walls, left items and for light bulbs. Luckily, we had taken photos of the flat when we had moved in so we could prove that all of these things were there when we arrived. After MONTHS of stressful and extensive negotiation we managed to get them to redact everything except the cleaning costs. If we had not taken photos at the beginning of the tenancy they would have scammed us out of £1315 as we would not have been able to prove it. The flat was dirty when we moved in, and we cleaned it to at the least the standard that it was at the beginning of the tenancy (as is our legal obligation). However, RMA refused to redact this and the only way we could get the money back is if we took legal action. They tried to persuade us it was a good deal at £120 per room for cleaning, even though the rooms were already clean. Considering the flat was dirty when we moved in, I can only conclude the cleaner does nothing and is capitalising off the exorbitant rate they can change for end of tenancy cleanings.
I'm pretty sure they routinely send in "professional" cleaners without even checking the state of the property and automatically deduct cleaning fees no matter what you do. On the day of check out, RMA had requested to bring the key back and to do a check out inventory of the property at a specific time on the last day of the tenancy. I stayed an extra day just to make this appointment, but they did not turn up. We had the legal right to attend the check out, but they denied us this.
The manager seems to think if he works his charm he can loosen up people to the idea of being scammed.
They also took 3x as long as the contract states to send back the deposit deductions. This is just one of the ways they violated the tenancy agreement.
In addition to all this, in the middle of the tenancy an agent from RMA came into the flat and insisted on taking multiple photos of the insides of our rooms, which was a gross violation of our privacy.
I have lived in 3 student houses before this one, and never had these issues, this is not normal or justified behaviour.

GoogleRead the reviews before conducting any business with RMA. Not to be trusted. My dealings with RMA. Kurt, the worker I had dealings with was extremely polite and helpful throughout my stay... However, when it came to recovering my security deposit. Emails aren't responded to in good time. It has been nearly a full calendar month when they have a statutory 14 days to return a deposit. I am being charged for the cleaning of communal areas, which I have never used. I never did washing at the property or cooked a meal, this will be verified but those i shared with. I also moved out 5 weeks before the others renting rooms in an HMO. How do I ensure those areas are clean when I have handed back the keys. I also informed them of my need to move out early between 2 and 3 weeks ahead of time. Asking if anything wasn't up to their standard to let me know as the contract was still running. What I had was a licence to use communal areas, and in exactly the same way if I had a driving licence but never drove, not in a million years am I accepting a speeding ticket. Guaranteed they will use a ludacrisly overpriced cleaning company also. So because of this we're now in as dispute. Bitter ending
