Extremely poor experience with Fraser &…

Extremely poor experience with Fraser & Co as a tenant, especially with agent Fajer Ali and Marissa McIntosh in Accounts. The level of incompetence, slow communication and poor administration throughout this tenancy has been unacceptable. I joined the tenancy on 20 July 2026, but my deposit details were not properly registered as they legally should have been. I only received the deposit information on 9 September, and the tenancy agreement was not provided until 10 August, after the tenancy had already started. After a fire on 8 September left the property uninhabitable, we were initially told alternative accommodation would be covered, only for this to be withdrawn. They informed us that all repairs would be completed by 16 September, however, after multiple follow-ups, they only organised contractors to view the premises on 16 September. Then, on 16 September, we were told repairs would not take place for several months until after the insurance claim was processed and were forced to surrender the tenancy, leaving us to find accommodation at very short notice. Additionally, Fraser & Co collected excess payments from us during our tenancy and this discrepancy was not identified by the Agent and would not have come to light if I had not discovered it myself. The Accounts team, namely Marissa McIntosh assured that a refund would be made on 2 September. However, she was unreachable by email and phone call until 16 September, when I was told the refund had been processed and would arrive within 2, 3 working days. Despite repeated follow-ups, it remains unpaid. Overall, an extremely stressful experience caused by poor communication, incompetent administration and failure to resolve issues promptly. I would not recommend this agency and would urge prospective tenants to exercise caution when engaging with this agency.

Fraser & Co provides average service overall. Initially, I faced some issues with unexpected bills after moving out, which were not communicated upfront, leading to a surprising situation. There were also delays in resolving repair requests, which were disappointing. Communication can be hit-or-miss; sometimes, it took a while to get responses. While it's not the worst experience, there are definitely areas for improvement in transparency and promptness.

This is regards to the recent conversation which I had with your employee Pamela, who is completely unprofessional in calls and not sure whether she knows some basic phone etiquettes.I called for an update on my deposit which has to returned and she was the one confirmed that my deposit will be credited back to my account within a max of 2 weeks. But today she’s changing her words stating it can prolong to even 3 months, which we are really concerned about and relying on this money.There was never a month I’ve missed my payments but now I’ve been put in a situation that I have to wait for 3 months which was not addressed at the point of signing the contract or at the point providing the notice about shifting. All we heard was that we need to provide a notice for 30 days and then they will take 3 weeks to complete the inspection and will be crediting the money in two weeks.Pamela from the time she answered the call was really Arrogant, said she has not received any confirmation from landlord and asked me to walk up or write a post to the owners address directly. If I need the money as early as possible I’m really upset about this as I made payments to Fraser and now asking me to deal with the owner which sounds really awful. Please consider this escalation and prioritize this request and get my money credited as soon as possible.
