I have always had a great experience with Foxtons, both as a tenant having them as managers and as someone looking for a flat. The agent Yasmin recently has been amazing; it’s her kindness and availability that really made her stand out!

TrustpilotI have had the pleasure of having…
I have had the pleasure of having Foxtons Battersea fully managing my tenancy for the last couple of years. They took over a property agency, and I got the same property manager we had, Kerry Davis, who was, I must say, excellent. She was always kind, responsive and professional to us. We are really glad we had the luck of having her as our property manager. That being said, I can recommend Foxtons especially Battersea branch.

TrustpilotHappy with Foxtons!
Foxtons was able to directly handle all the work and regulatory issues to prepare our flat for first-time rental. They very, very quickly sourced a tenant. As non-resident landlords, this smooth process was much appreciated. Foxtons’ online documentation system and recording of financial transactions makes the cost tracking for tax purposes easy. Foxtons’ Richard Hockbridge is professional, pro-active and responsive in dealing with the full property management of our flat and tenant.

TrustpilotFantastic Franc
We've been letting through Foxtons for over 12 years and we've always had wonderful sales associates who have managed to let out our property quickly (Matthew Williamson was fab). The Letting Managers have not always been so consistent, but we've been really REALLY happy with Franc (Francisco De Freitas Pinto) and I think our tenants would agree 100%. Franc is incredibly responsive and has a lovely lovely personality.

I have a studio flat in Elephant Castle which I’ve rented out for about 3 years with Foxtons and they’ve been wonderful in finding great tenants for my property. A special mention to Aman Parmar & Solomon Taylor as well for helping me find a suitable tenant within 4 days and organising everything very smoothly! Would highly recommend. Very professional and very pleased with the rental amount obtained. Thank you!

TrustpilotTerrible experience
Non-existent communication. Viewings done by an unprepared team: didn't know level of service charge, exposure, if the appliances were new or not, size of the flat or rooms. One claimed we had replaced the kitchen (we hadn't), another that the Hue Lights we installed were staying in the flat for the buyer (we never said that).

GoogleAnisa at Foxtons Hackney was really lovely and helpful, very welcoming and understanding. We were looking for a property with very specific attributes and so she started looking for the dream house for us. We very much appreciated her patience with us!!

TrustpilotTony's Communication Skills and eye to executing a plan are excellent.
This is my review of Tony Chan of the Property Management APAC Team. Foxton's have employed an excellent representative in Tony. In the past year we completed a lease with a new Tenant. There were some issues and as ALWAYS (for over 3 years) Tony was there to smooth things out and develop a plan for us to move forward with the new tenant. This has included scheduling a number of trades people while also informing the tenant where they need to be reasonable.

TrustpilotThree words - don’t do it
We listed our house with foxtons and the service has been abysmal. There’s been next to no effort or movement with trying to sell the house, no communications with any options etc. You get an account online which shows upcoming viewings - almost all viewings ‘booked’ haven’t actually happened and they don’t contact us to confirm it either. You expect a lot from an estate agent with their level of commission - dont bother.

Trustpilotfoxtons are a good company to commission
we've been dealing with foxtons for a long time. not only do they somehow manage to achieve higher rentals compared to other agents, but if anything is wrong, they continue chasing until they correct it. the latest example is when we were wrongly prevented from getting a large end of tenancy deposit back. Brooke Cheesman kept pursuing the case until we got our money back!

used to be good but ever since the intro of the renters rights acts, property management service has dropped off a cliff. This bad for landlords because they get poor management, bad for tenants because they get poor representation, and bad for the industry because estate / letting agents are no longer accountable.

TrustpilotHuge Thanks to Connor and the Team!
I can't thank Connor and his team enough for their their help and determination in getting my property sold. Excellent communication, honest feedback, exceptionally well-trained staff and proactive marketing all contributed to a hugely positive experience. In what is still a challenging time for rhe housing market, I have no hesitation in recommending Foxtons for their tenacity and expertise in navigating troubled waters!

TrustpilotExcellent Service
Previously, I had many bad experiences with the property management team of Foxtons. The staff were not responsive and carried out repair works without my consent. The situation changed when Season Cheung is looking after my property. He provided quick responses and helped to solve maintenance issues proactively. He is patient and professional, and always listening to customers’ requests. I’m satisfied with his excellent service.

TrustpilotWorst property management company
Completely unprofessional service - they make an effort until you sign the tenancy agreement then start gaslighting you when you point out that they did not meet basic living conditions. The level of unprofessionalism and lack of service is shocking. The property manager was on vacation when I moved in. No one looked at the inspection report to begin with to realize there were no locks on my door, the bedroom was freezing cold because the windows couldn't shut properly and the glass was broken on some windows, the wires were cut, the landlord left her stuff in the laundry room and closet and not small things you leave over massive equipment and art pieces that I never saw when i first visited the flat and was only made aware of them after I signed to which they said they would get rid before I move which did not happen etc. this is the level of service they felt justified to with zero remorse. Lowest quality of people you will ever meet.

TrustpilotWould not recommend
I’m not usually one to come to to the internet to air my frustrations however I do feel incredibly disappointed with the company, particularly poor communication. While I appreciate they must be extremely busy, it’s taken us multiple calls and emails to the tenant change team to progress our request for change of tenant. We do fully acknowledge the error on our side which came from a delay in settling the fee, however this was paid as soon as possible once realised and we did not get a response from the team despite multiple emails until we called and advised we would pursue legal support. Overall would not recommend foxtons as a letting agent, much preferred our old company d&g.

TrustpilotDeposit repayment took 3 weeks
We moved out of our rental on 2 July, the landlord approved the return of the full deposit on 5 July. It took Foxtons until today 24 July to pay back the money. Initial excuse was issues with My Foxtons when the landlord called them to find out why its taking so long this was 14 July, so obviously this would be everyone else's fault but theirs. Then i called them a day later to find out when the deposit would be returned and more excuses 15 July. I finally got a mail on 19 July to say the deposit is with their repayment team, eventually payment today 24 July. The whole exercise took 3 weeks and if my landlord or myself had not followed up I doubt they would have repaid me at tall. I would love to give them zero stars

TrustpilotExtremely poor experience with Foxtons
Extremely poor experience with Foxtons. We were left without proper cooking facilities for 25 days, which had a major impact on our daily life and forced us to spend extra money on food. A functioning cooker is a basic part of any home, yet this was not handled with the urgency it deserved.

TrustpilotDo not repeat our mistakes
I would not recommend renting with Foxtons. Our experience:- we would arrange a viewing for a place and then the agent would take us to a place that was wildly out of our budget (£600 over) wasting our time- once we put in an offer for the place they said the landlord was asking £200 more per month- it would take them 4 months to put in a new bulb in an apartment- it has been a month now and we are still waiting for them to return our deposit

TrustpilotProperty Manager- Tony Chan
Foxtons performance is reflected by the Property Manager. Our Property Manager is Tony Chan. He does an excellent job. For example, in the past year he has assisted correcting a water leak and having the contractor at the property quickly also recommended suppliers for furniture etc. He has done this while also looking after our finances by recommending reliable, acceptable priced suppliers. Since 2010 we have probably had 6-8 Property Managers and Tony is by far the best. In addition, I have to believe that our tenants have appreciated Tony's diligence and immediate response to their enquiries. Tony is a consumate profesional, who represents Foxtons extremely well. We do not ever want to change our Property Manager.

TrustpilotCareless, only care about money, dubious grasp on legality
If you're a tenant, consider yourself screwed with this company, I really do not want to deal with them again, so much so that next time I am on the hunt for another house to rent, I will avoid any houses/flats under Foxtons. They have no qualms managing and covering for landlords who do not care for the state of the property; almost everything had stains and looked like it had not been changed/updated in decades. Things that weren't absolutely necessary for living, such as an extractor fan, were also broken. Broken bulbs, shelves, patchy carpet... etc. They always displayed zero interest or desire to help in improving the property as long as it had walls, a roof, a functioning utilities and they were getting their paycheck. They will also not check if the property meets the minimum legal requirements, so if you're renting from them, start reading your council's legal requirements *very carefully* because they will get away with renting a property that doesn't meet them and then not offer any compensation. They had to be chased repeatedly for everything, including sending the new contract and when they did, there was always a mistake such as an incorrect name or even an incorrect amount. You can imagine the kind of issues this can cause in the long term, especially if you need to prove residency or are on a tight budget. Doing repairs also took a long time. They charge unreasonable amounts for minor transgressions because they have to promise the landlord they can get them a higher amount than the next letting agency. Guess where that money is coming, yes, you, the tenant. They provide zero flexibility for the tenant and only when they receive serious push back (I'm talking legal action), do they relent and speak to the landlord, who is of course, always absent.Again, you can see the theme of they will be inflexible and be quick to charge you extra, while at the same time dragging their feet or dodging any request that would be in the benefit of the tenants. PS: Very suspicious that almost all of their positive reviews mention one of Foxtons' agents' names. It would not surprise me if they are buying reviews, writing it themselves or convincing people to write a review at the very start of the customer's experience. Just google how they are actually like with honest reviews on sites like Reddit or Mumsnet.
