Found a great place in a short amount of time!

I had a short amount of time to find a place to live and had been let down by two other letting agents who didn't listen to the basic elements of my requirements (location, number of bedrooms) and I was disheartened. I called the Earl's Court location and was connected with Jack Cuthbert who immediately asked great questions, listened, and made good suggestions for my search. We met the next working day and he showed me a handful or properties that fit, and course-corrected to add and skip some based on what I liked. Jack is bright, a hard-worker, cares about his job, and is an excellent representative of Foxtons. He just 'gets it' because he pays attention, is thoughtful, and thorough. Jack is such an asset to Foxtons and definitely contributes to their success. The process was smooth and professional. Definitely recommend.

Nicola Georgiou, islington branch, the best!

Only good things to say about Foxtons islington! Especially Nicola Georgiou.I had very particular requirements, needed space for my furniture, allowing my cats and not on the ground floor.I had an offer on another property that wasn’t accepted and Nicola proactively contacted me to be the first to view a new property which was all I wanted and more.She is a polite, professional and excellent agent. Worked with the landlord to ensure we could find a good agreement on being semi furnished and accelerated my offer so swiftly !I cannot thank her enough for her amazing attention to detail. She also communicates impressively and was always available for the myriad of questions and support I needed.Thank you so much! I’m so excited to have found my perfect flat in the most amazing location.Highly recommended!

Great experience purchasing our first UK property through Foxtons

My girlfriend and I just purchased our first property in the UK with Foxtons. Shehryar Effandi and Kyle Hogg have been absolutely brilliant to work with, despite us being new to the process and helped us to quickly resolve any issues that came up during the process. Shehryar and Kyle were consistently professional, patient, on top of everything, and were critical to getting us over the line. They were also committed to finding workable solutions to satisfy the parties involved. We would recommend the Foxtons team in a heart beat, in particular our main point of contact, Shehryar, who has truly been outstanding from start to finish. Great journey and would definitely recommend!

Pathetic experience tried to scam

I don’t know where shall i start from. I don’t know if it’s the correct office because i don’t which office is Shan Zhang from.So i came to view the apartment a month ago and i choose a medium studio flat, and we confirmed the same with her as well. It is very obvious that we don’t know any flat number so we wrote whatever the number Shan Zhang told us. And everything was okay. For me it was confirmed that i had medium studio room. After that i paid the holding deposit. After few weeks i was asked for the referencing and i had no idea that for ‘zero hour contract’ people they have pay upfront or else there is no other option. Shan Zhang from Foxtons never told us about this. And when i asked the referencing team they said the agent for sure know about this. I called back Shan Zhang and instead of helping me she said it’s not her department and she doesn’t know anything about this. And hence we had to pay 6 months plus security deposit all upfront.On 16.07.2024 we checked in to the flat. But i felt something is not okay with our room because it was not the one that i booked or confirmed. Instead of our medium room they gave me a single studio. When i asked Shan Zhang about the room she tried to convince me that was the room i booked. And i told her if i booked a single room then why i paid for medium studio which was 1225p/m. And Shan Zhang started talking to me rudely and aggressively on call in front of another Foxtons agent who was being very nice and helpful for me. Shan Zhang quoted “ if you want to stay to stay or else you can just withdraw and leave “. Which i could not handle and asked the other agent ghat i don’t want to talk or see Shan Zhang again.We stayed in the single room for three nights, which we never booked or paid, and after a real struggle and street today we are moving in a different medium studio ( not the one we booked ). Because Foxtons said that they don’t have the room which i booked and has been taking by someone else. I have the proof video of the show flat that we booked and even the conversation with the agent as well. Since the start i am compromising everything and there is nothing from Foxtons to offer us yet.So through this review i would like to say that the company tried to scam me. And i would like to demand a compensation from Foxtons for the mess up they did for 4 days and tree nights, my money is not a waste. The company should be happy that I haven’t filed any case to the court and police for fraud and scam.Will never recommend Shan Zhang to anyone and if by chance someone meet her be cautious and ask her everything.Thank you

Beware of St John’s Wood agent Sarah McGuinness

Foxtons St Johns wood agent Sarah McGuinness reached out and invited me to go view a few properties with her. I eventually showed an interest in one of the properties which I extremely regretted going for. Despite the property being lower than my standard, I fell in love with the neighbourhood as well as the false promises Sarah made to me repeatedly.The false promises she made included how the property is under refurbishment and that the flat will be cleaned, made cleared of mould and re painted prior to my move in date. The false promises mentioned were made MULTIPLE TIMES with full confidence during viewing and Sarah made sure that all of them were done verbally and that there is no written statement from her as proof.What happened on my move in date could not be further from the lies Sarah passionately told me during viewing as you can clearly see from the photos. When I visited for the viewing there were some mould problems but nothing nearly as bad as what I witnessed on my move in date.I called Sarah to complaint about the situation and that there were even insects inside the flat which I remember her respond being “Ewww Eww” and “unfortunately I’m busy showing other clients properties right now” and simply ignored my messages after.I still remember vividly one of the things Sarah said to get me to put down the deposit which was “I’d never let any of my clients move into a property looking like this”. Little did I know that the state of the property I will be moving into would be worse than what I saw at viewing. During an entire year of my tenancy, there were endless problems with the property and I’ve never heard any apologies from anyone from the St John’s wood branch and felt like this needs to be said.

Victoria was outstanding. I was in a whirlwind tour seeing 25 properties in a single day across 7 agents. The original property, that Victoria showed me didn’t quite fit, but she later came back to me with another solution, and managed to get me 2 viewings in same day. I overpaid my rent accidentally £1000 on top of my rent and I was in desperate to get my money back . Even though the money was out from my bank buf I had been waiting the money to be cleared from Foxtons account so they can refund however Layla Mohamed speeded up my refund process after sending several emails and she was patient ,compationate and listen ny concern . Left My Door Unlocked 3 TIMES

I would give 0 if I could. I am extremely disappointed with Foxtons' handling of my flat letting as a tenant leaving a property. Over 22 viewings in one week were conducted like an open house with no respect for tenants. Agents often left blinds open and the door unlocked on three separate occasions, despite my repeated reminders via emails and in person, as well as escalating to the manager on multiple occasions. Viewings were not properly requested but announced last minute, like, "I’m popping in between 4-5pm, please let me know if it will cause any inconvenience." This negligence and lack of respect are unacceptable, causing significant inconvenience and security concerns. I hope Foxtons takes this feedback seriously and improves its service. I will not be recommending this agency to any tenant or landlord. Despite great services in closing down offers, the existing tenants face hell in the process. The trade-off shows an immense lack of skill.

I had my property valued last year. I went to an Estate Agent who valued it higher than Foxtons. My Agent ( DA !! ) was not communicating nor acting on my instructions. Very annoyed. Disappointed service from Foxtons

I thought big name company like Foxtons are more professional. When we gave offer for the property they lied to us about yearly maintenance and years left on lease. Maintenance was double what they said and almost 10 years less on lease what they said. The vendor accepted our offer and they still went back on the market without even telling us. Constantly pushing with emails and phone calls to sale our house with them and we were clear that we will stay with our local agents. My last email was replayed after almost 3 weeks. It looks like their police is to go with quantity and not quality. Shame.
