Charlotte Birdsall is excellent in her job. She is professional, proactive, listens to the client's spec and makes suggestions on properties that are worth viewing. Buying house is a stressful and complex process but working with Charlotte helped to make things easier. She is also engaging and funny. Good service- But Deposit Handling needs IMPROVEMENT

I had a generally positive experience with Foxtons during my tenancy. Sam Woodward was very responsive, professional, and quick to address any issues that arose during my time in the flat. I always felt that they were on top of things and genuinely cared about providing good service.However, my experience has soured somewhat since moving out. It has been over a month since I vacated the property, and I have yet to receive my security deposit back. The inventory check-out report confirmed that I left the flat in great condition, exactly as I received it. Despite this, I have not been refunded my deposit, and communication on this matter has been lacking.It's disappointing to see such unprofessionalism when it comes to handling someone else's money. While I was initially very happy with their services, the current situation has left me feeling neglected and frustrated.I hope the agency takes this feedback seriously and improves their process for handling deposit returns.

Foxtons- A tale of incompetence & Irresponsibility

We were grossly misrepresented by Foxtons agent (since fired) & handed a disgustingly unclean property- They have given us possession of a property was not cleaned at all, let alone aprofessional clean- There is mould on the bedroom windows & bathroom- The living room wall has a leak- The carpet on the stairs is not professionally installed and a massive health hazard.It has been stuck down with duck tape- After our initial complaint, the work the work is still incomplete

Foxton has been very stressful do deal with when renting and moving out on the property they are managing.We have recently moved out from a flat that they are managing. Before we moved out, they had been constantly messaging and emailing all of us if they can view the property. We had no issues with that. We have been patient and both parties were communicating properly. Almost 2 months we have been waiting for our deposit. We had disputed a couple of deductions on our deposit but we finally agreed upon the deposit value that we will be receiving. However during that process, they take at least 3-5 working days to respond and how they worded their emails about our dispute on our deposit was so misleading. Till now we have not received our deposit and they have completely stopped responding to our email.

Would not recommend to my worst enemy

Would not recommend to my worst enemy.I honestly believe the ratings here are based on the first rental experience of getting a flat, not the experience of being a tenant under Foxtons. They are incompetent, rude and conniving at best. I caught them in multiple lies during my tenancy by discussing things with my landlord and they definitely just want money and not to maintain a good working flat.A lady from Foxtons St Johns Wood was especially unhelpful, but the branch also didn't help as there didn't seem to be more capable people to jump in when needed.I could go on about everything that went wrong, but to be honest, there were at least 30 instances ranging from leaks to heating not working for 5 months, so it's not worth the time. If you are unsure whether to rent with them, I'd steer away.Oh and one last tidbit - I got asked £900 back of my deposit at the end of the tenancy for things that were already broken when I moved in. The only reason I didn't get ripped off was because I filmed the entire flat when I moved in so I could prove they were trying to get money off of my deposit.

My partner and I have recently signed a tenancy, unfortunately not with Foxtons but just wanted to say, Callum at Foxtons Stoke Newington has done more for us than any other estate agent we’ve spoken to. Really wish we could’ve found a place via him just so he would get the commission, it was very well deserved after all the time and effort he put in in trying to help us find a place. Out of everyone at Foxtons we’ve spoken to Callum has genuinely been the most helpful and loveliest of them all. We have appreciated his help and efforts more than anyone will ever know - it’s been an incredibly stressful period and his help hasn’t gone unnoticed. A letting agent that simplifies your life

I use Foxtons to let out my flat. Overall, the process was easy. They came, looked at the flat in person, provided an evaluation and explained the process through. I took the offer where they deal with everything. While this came at a rather hefty commission, i really did not need to do anything. Foxtons helped me sort out all the requests the tenants have and kept me updated with the repairs (also asked for my permission too before placing any purchase orders). Special kudos to Tony Chan, my property manager. He helped me a lot with sorting out all the relevant paperwork to let out a flat. He is very responsive as well. Any queries I have, i can be confident that he will answer it. As a landlord letting through Foxtons, i have no worries, though the commission is a little bit higher.
