Well what can I say I have never found…

Well what can I say I have never found a solicitor this good. Right from the start we were contacted immediately put onto their portal and informed immediately on every issue. This system that they have was very reassuring and made us feel as if they were on the ball. Each week they gave us an update requesting information and worked on it straight away. I do believe because of there professional support that our house was sold so quickly and I would fully recommend this company.

The online portal and notifications via SMS and email ensured I could conduct affairs quickly and whilst travelling abroad. There are many thing to like about the Partnership. They are good value. Their portal is slick and well maintained. They are contactable by phone though the process mostly goes on via their portal. I had a terrific experience with my house purchase. Saskia Horton and Alex Best were really good and went out of their way to help me complete the purchase which had a few oddities around financing. I felt very secure with them and they handled the transaction flawlessly. Honestly, there were some issues with our sale. It was complicated because it was a flat so there was a management company and freeholder to deal with. However, when things went off track and I raised a concern a manager was on the phone instantly and things improved rapidly. I would say if you do encounter an issue use the angry red face on the Portal and somebody will be in touch very quickly! I appreciate the responsiveness.

Stay well away... or live to regret it

I would stay as far away from The Partnership in Guildford as you possibly can. They are incompetent and the definition of slow, my "simple" sale ended up taking 7 months. Their terrible communication included hiding additional fees in the T&Cs at the bottom of documents (£120 to hold a £200 money on file) and multiple incorrect calculations in the Financial Statement - luckily I checked this thoroughly otherwise I would have been £££ out of pocket. The biggest low was when I had to intervene and pay fees to the management company directly as the Partnership took too long to do it themselves, threatening the sale of my property. Stay well away or live to regret it. And the "portal" is dreadful, the weekly updates are so brief and non-sensical (unless you're legally trained) they might as well not bother. I also asked to speak to management about my complaints and nobody was interested - says it all.

Really positive. Probate sale that went very smoothly. The legal assistant (paralegal?) Joseph Stansfield in particular was excellent - responsive and giving pragmatic and sensible advice. The portal is great and easy to use (send messages, upload documents etc). Everything was wrapped up in 12 weeks which was quicker than I thought (probate sale). Thanks for all the hard work.

Good experience overall

The whole process was largely positive and the online portal they used is easy to use. I was particularly happy with them updating me automatically every week on Monday, without me asking. They were also very responsive to queries. Towards the end, we were a bit rushed and there were some minor imperfections with the completion, but they were more about the lack of time and the difficult synchronisation of two sides in the last moment. I'd recommend The Partnership to others and will consider reusing them in the future.
