I’ve had a deeply disappointing experience with Seymour’s, both as a renter and as a prospective buyer. During a property purchase, I later became aware of a serious issue (subsidence) that I believe should have been disclosed much earlier in the process. This left me feeling misled and frustrated.

Their representative who took me around was charming and helpful. I have since made an offer on a house through them. The follow up and response to my enquires is exemplary.

We had a great experience with Seymours being first time buyers. Staff was very helpful and polite from beginning to end. Sales marketing team kept us up to date with houses suited to our preferences, viewings was easy and then finally having the house we loved accepted. Buying or selling I would highly recommend Seymours.

Terrible experience using Seymours to sell our house. We had nothing but issues with our buyers and actually found out that once we had agreed a sale - Seymours were still showing our buyers around properties behind our back!We managed a quick sale though a smaller estate agency that cared about their customers and actually got us a much better price. I would never use them again unfortunately.

It was a somewhat unusual surprise for the agent, Andy, in this case, to keep us informed of progress on a very regular basis and challenges faced with regard to others in the chain rather than leave it to the lawyer which in my experience happens all too frequently.
Couldn't agree more. Often the sale progression aspect is left to its own devices but this is where all the issues occur. We've learned over the last 30 years, that we as agents need to be heavily involved in the solicitor's side of things. The solicitors definitely appreciate it, but not as much as the buyers and sellers!

I've bought the last 2 properties I've lived in through Seymours and would again. The team is lovely, they worked tirelessly to find exactly the right place for my family, and their advice was always pragmatic. They were brilliant through the purchase process too.
We have a couple of strap lines both of which seem to ring true here... "your property partner for life" and "we don't sell houses we move people." Thank you Pyrford for the comments and of course for allowing us to share the journey.

GoogleVery pleased with the whole experience and with service Seymours has provided. The reason why I knocked off a star was there were 2/3 occasions when viewings were booked and they didn't arrive although that was not the fault of the agents but annoying nonetheless!

Great communication from the outset. Candid about market values, not trying to set overly ambitious and unrealistic prices. The follow up with a dedicated case manager has been very useful as well. Selling a house is fraught with complications but the ongoing communication throughout the process has made this process much easier.
Selling a house needn't be as stressful as some people may think, just needs a little forward planning and a whole heap of hands-on experience. Great to hear Phil & thanks for the review.

The journey with Seymours from start to finish was unprofessional. Giving misleading information all way through. Queries not answered or handled by different people, causing constant chasing ups and stress. The final rent miscommunicated as it was incorrectly recorded on their system. A total mess! There are better letting agencies out there.
