I would avoid if thinking of letting through them, they only care about the landlord, tell lies and totally screw you over. After a 39 page inventory of an unfurnished bungalow by a very rude inventory Clark and leaving it better/cleaner than when we moved in they still thought it was acceptable to deduct £100 for x2 missing sink plugs ( £2 each from Screwfix and not re hanging some cheap curtains back up. It’s about time people stopped treating good tenants like second class citizens just because we choose to rent !!!!!

Worst letting agent I have ever seen. They charge us insane amount of money from the deposit when we move out. Trying to rip us off and manipulate the you to make you think that you are wrong. Very unprofessional.

TrustpilotI had thought to rent a built to rent…
I had thought to rent a built to rent property in The Highline in East london from them thinking they would be extremely professional but the results were opposite. After moving out 13 months later and using their property they sent massive bill in the lieu of cleaning charges when this was challenged and asked for my rights for dispute with TDP , they reassessed the charge and made it almost double now claiming damages for other issues which apparently weren't issues at all. For example claiming for paint charges when there was no wall damage at all, carpet cleaning when this had been left in good state and as handed over to us, cleaning fee when the whole property was cleaned by us. They asked this needs to be deep cleaned which is contrary to what agreement states. They even asked to replace the whole coffee table for small spots, now imagine after 13 months of usage (I should say accelerated depreciation due to stay at home) how fair is to claim for a small spots on the coffee table. Even the TDP rules says this has to be compensatory and not replacement. Clear violation of rules.Surely I will be pursuing the case further but this is also a harassment issue which has to be dealt properly.

TrustpilotDon’t rent off them, they’ll try and take as much money off you as possible.
My flatmate and I moved into a 2 bedroom property owned by Savills. We have recently moved out of the flat 3 weeks ago and began receiving emails regarding the atrocious bill they expect us to pay them. They notified us that the flat needed to be professionally cleaned prior to moving out, which was understandable so we had it cleaned. The flat was left cleaned and in great condition, they had no reason to charge us a huge cleaning bill of £336.Furthermore, they have charged us an extra £212 for the keys being handed in 48 hours late. I had moved out of the property more than a week before our specified move out date and thought I had been in contact with someone who had Covid-19. In order to follow government guidelines and not spread the virus, I waited until I got my results (which were negative) before I could give them my keys. Due to the fact the keys were handed in 2 days late, they felt it was appropriate to also charge us the late key fee, 2 days worth of rent, 2 days of furniture and 2 days of utilities even though no one was living there?! They had entered the property on the same day we moved out to check that everything was okay. They then spent the following day taking inventory, many photos of the property and cleaning it again (even though it was left clean) which means they were very aware no one was living there. Do not ever rent off of this letting agency, they really try to steal as much money as they can.

Trustpilot2.5 stars - caution to buyers
2.5 stars. We recently bought a house through Savills. The service was efficient the agent responsive and helpful. However, (and this was true of most agents) the agents do not seem to have much knowledge about the houses they are selling. The valuation service seemed superficial with little effort to engage the seller on defects (or more general details) of the property. For example, on purchasing the house, several highly expensive repairs needed to be made immediately, without which the house would be very difficult to function in. These are defects that a buyer could not have known without, for example, taking a shower and testing all the keys & doors in the house before exchange of contracts. Such details should have been disclosed in an interview with the previous occupants and factored into valuation. As such, I do not feel they fulfilled their responsibilities adequately as a company.

TrustpilotCharlie Smith from Savills is a first…
Charlie Smith from Savills is a first class estate agent. She was polite, charming, helpful, and extremely efficient in her replies. She was patient in handling her neurotic client (me!) and was highly adept at finessing the negotiations on the sale. She bent over backwards to accommodate a number of requests I had regarding access to the property between exchange and completion for various people to undertake inspections ahead of works to be done. This enabled us to make a lot of advance progress with works we wanted to start with upon completion. She never made me feel difficult for contacting her many times, and replied by return. She was also very flexible. We only came to buy the house because she was prepared to find a way to accommodate our children attending the viewing, taking careful, safe and well thought out precautions. Had she not been so helpful, we had already decided we couldn’t come if they couldn’t come as there was no one else to leave them with in lockdown. I think that people like Charlie give estate agents a good name, and Savills a good name.I would not hesitate to recommend her, and would use her again.I will now miss having an excuse to contact her!She is an excellent mix of being lovely and professional

TrustpilotWe rented a property through Savils…
28th Feb 2021 update from last post. Since my post I was contacted by Savils head office again with an assurance our problem would be resolved. The end of the month has come again and this is still not resolved although contractors have been sent to look at the issues again. No resolution as yet month 10! We rented a property through Savils admittedly during the height of Covid and for 9 months since we have moved in we have had an uphill struggle to get the basic problems that we highlighted before we moved in repaired and new ones like leaking roof in the conservatory and downstairs bedroom, lights not working electrical outlets not working under floor heating not working endless promises to resolve....I could go on all night! Through all of the lies and evasion and neglect Savils have not had the decency to just show some care. I could name people but it's not just the few I would name it's a company wide attitude that includes the contractors they send out. Worse still the same contractors tell us they have been out many times before for the same issues. Proof of the lies and misleading ways of this company. Stay away from them if you can they will only be trouble as they do not care about anything besides getting your cash in their bank. Not a nice company to deal with in any way! 9 months of hell with a baby and a long term lease!

TrustpilotSeemingly advise customers (their…
Seemingly advise customers (their vendors) to only permit viewings if the buyer is fully proceedable. Now, their definition of fully proceedable is *not* a buyer having a house with an accepted offer and looking to buy a house - which is the norm. To Savills, that’s either FTB, or cash buyer or ‘somebody who has already exchanged contracts’. Focusing on the price point of the vendors house I was interested in, even when there is no pandemic - having this kind of buyer they want, is like winning the lottery. Odds are totally stacked against for this kind of sale.We have a house under offer, all agreed, and savills have a vendors house on the market to sell. Seems simple right? Risk are well documented. But it’s pretty normal path for many. However, the vendors *apparently* were not interested in us, due to the advice given due to the pandemic. Could only have gotten this advice from... hmmm I will let you fill in the blank!...And who usually exchanges their house without having found a house to buy?! unless there was some issues in an already pre-existing chain - which made sense to move out to fix problems. Savills are the equivalent tyre kickers. Should state ‘I’m a time waster’ or ‘don’t really want to sell my house’ in the adverts, so not to waste valuable time, or even better - just advise vendor to remove the house of market - as you’re not going to find buyers easily like this. Obviously, vendor is allowed to make the rules, but they should probably not waste people’s time and be more transparent in any adverts... This should be championed / advocated from their estate agents (Savills in this case). To my further pressing why?!? in the email conversation with Savills - their response was - ‘sorry to disappoint and all vendors are doing this because of advise from estate agents’. ...Hmm I’m a vendor too and I’m not doing this, nor have been advised to do this... My estate agents was equally flummoxed. No disappointment however, it’s a happy ending: I bought another house down the road. Disappointed, not disappointed. But in the future, won’t even think of lifting a phone if it involves Savills. Seemingly useless and giving p!ss poor advise. And, yes - I feel better now.

TrustpilotPlease, for your own sake, choose another estate agent
Selling a home isn't just about finding the right price. When its a home you loved, you want the right person to buy it and at the right time, while having supportive and knowledgeable expertise from your estate agent. Savills, is not like this. They are a big fish in their market and therefore everything is about money - Not about the people, and not about their feelings and sentiments. I wont go into detail, but with my family's experience, Savills made several mistakes and in the end their advice would become something that I really wish my family had not taken. The end result - a lovely family home going to the wrong people who then in a sense ruined what was a very special place to me. If you want to have an estate agent who really cares, (and even thinks), then I would advise you to not go with Savills.

TrustpilotA seamless, friendly, professional service
Savill’s (Brechin) in the persons of Ruaraidh Ogilvie and Sandra McGregor did us proud. We instructed them for the sale of our house on 7th October and by the end of the month we had received our first offer, which we accepted. The sale was completed on 29 January. In those last three weeks of October they came to see us, advised us as to price and presentation, organised the brochure text, plans and photography, commissioned the home report and arranged and reported on viewings. The complexities involved were numerous, but they mastered them seamlessly with efficiency and friendly professionalism - all amidst the Covid crisis, and made it look so easy. We can’t thank them enough.

The worst experience I have had from a Residential Letting Agency.Interior of building filthy, accounts department demanded money in unpaid rent incorrectly, harrassed during Lockdown by property management team and they cut off Gas supply meaning no access to hot water, heating or cooker. Wouldn't allow tenant to read their own gas or electric meter. No emergency call out, boiler broke on several occasions, again left without any heating or hot water during the winter.Customer service doesn't reply to any contact requesting help
