As old hands at buying and selling (over 20 properties) we had become very cynical towards estate agents. However, we now lived overseas and needed to sell the family home. We hadn't heard of Hipps before but Mel came highly recommended and we reluctantly decided to give him a go. Weren't they all as bad as each other. Well, how wrong could we be. From day 1 Mel kept us totally informed on where everyone was in the chain, what we needed to do and who was doing what. This was honestly the best service we have ever experienced. If we were selling in the area again, there is only one place we would go and that would be Mel from Hipps. A real gentleman, polite, professional and a good egg!!! Everything you would expect from an estate agent but rarely get.

We saw a number of agents to sell our house before deciding to go with Mel from Hipps. It was an easy choice as we were immediately drawn to his enthusiasm, pragmatism and obvious local knowledge of the housing market. Because Hipps is a local company in Guildford, we knew that we would have Mel himself on hand to guide us through the process. We accepted an offer on the first day of viewing and Mel demonstrated a keen understanding of our buyer and completed the sale, despite difficulties late on with our buyers solicitor. He was excellent throughout the process. He put us as the seller first, personally visited us during difficulties of the sale and dealt with all parties in the chain in a professional, even handed manner. Truly the glue that bound the whole process together! If we were to sell property again, we would certainly choose Mel without hesitation. A great guy who really believes in what he's doing. Nothing was too much trouble and he was happy to deal with our questions out of hours. Thanks again Mel - hugely recommended!
