Shonda and the team at Grantly have looked after my parents’ residential lettings for 30 years and I can honestly say that we could not have asked for a better service. They are primarily property people, which may sound a strange thing to say, but some agents are not and don’t really understand either the property or their clients, it is just about a fee. Shonda and Grantley understand both and go out of their way to make the new letting or renewal as painless and professional as possible. They knew that it was more important for my parents to have good tenants, who they had completely vetted, paying a fair rent, and who would look after the property, than getting a sequence of more difficult tenants, paying the highest rent possible, who then don’t look after their investment. That is not to say that they don’t the market, they absolutely do, but they balance that with their client’s needs, because they know their client well, having been with them for so many years. As my parents got older, I took on managing their properties and again, Shonda and the team made this transition as smooth as possible, whilst still respecting that my parents liked to be informed along the way. We have never had the full management package, but they go above and beyond in helping us find the right people to help us manage the properties, nothing is too much trouble. I could probably have just written that we have used them for 30 years, that would have said it all, but they deserve a bit more of a pat on the back than that!

This company is bias, unprofessional, and downright horrid. I had lived in my home for over 18 years. Had the best letting agent, then they retired and the property eventually ended up with this lot. Its a shame for the rare nice employee. Because the rest want to charge you left, right and centre, on moving out, try and make out you owe a month's rent when you dont and the last 2 years of my tenancy were tainted by agents telling me I couldn't have new carpet as I couldn't afford to replace it, it appeared that the fact I lived below market value was also a huge issue for them. I had never had the impression that I was wanted out until them. Of course. I was incredibly blessed to live in a super cute, nice house, below market value. Lets face it. Not many can afford Market value, astronomical. I was blessed with a windfall and left, my house is bigger, quiet and nice. If you arent on the affordable side of Market Value. My advice is steer clear, or at least keep every email, every letter and tenancy agreement, even if you live there for 20 years. Know your rights and what you are entitled to and liable for. This is my experience. Its a tough world out there. Edit: thanks for the reply and veiled threat. In the words of Queen Elizabeth II: *Recollections may vary.* Also note I didnt go into personal detail about your staff, yet here is Grantley disclosing their version of personal information and events, which is also categorically wrong. I could have said a lot more, I elected not to. However, I just wanted people to be aware. 16 out of 18 years with one exception, were problem free, the last two years were unpleasant.
