Bad management, miscommunication and delays led to loss of sale.

Found a house I loved through Carman Friend. Some complex issues were raised in the survey, including a missing party wall. The seller was covering this, then Carman Friend pushed this back onto me a week later with no explanation. It changed multiple times across a few weeks: seller arranging again, then me arranging but seller paying, then instead a price drop for me to arrange post-sale, only if we agree to complete within 6 weeks.

We weren't fortunate enough to be selling with CF (we would not hesitate to use them) we were the buyers in this experience. We had a very positive experience with this small, local family-run estate agency. After attending three viewings with them, we decided to proceed with purchasing one of the properties they showed us. Throughout the process, the team was consistently honest, professional, and highly responsive. Communication was particularly impressive! they replied promptly to both emails and phone calls, and were always patient and willing to assist, regardless of how many times we reached out. Never delayed any updates from the chain! What stood out most was their transparency. They provided clear, up-to-date information at every stage, with no hidden issues, which allowed us to make a fully informed decision with confidence. They also demonstrated strong commitment when marketing their properties. During one of our viewings, they openly shared that the house had already been viewed 26 times without receiving any offers. Despite this, they continued to actively promote the property rather than neglect it, which reflects their dedication compared to some other agents. Overall, their responsiveness, honesty, and work ethic set them apart from other estate agents we dealt with. We would not hesitate to recommend them.
