I have been a client of Galaxy Letts for a few years now. I got made redundant and was ill with a heavy flu virus for a while and I was living off my own finances thinking I would not be entitled to any kind of benefit. When they ran out, I had to claim Universal Credit and through struggling financially I got into rent arrears. I discussed the situation with someone who works for Galaxy Letts and we formulated a satisfactory solution for me to pay off the arrears. I am grateful to them for helping me in this situation.

Avoid at all costs especially if your renting 113 boulevard avenue.. terrible landlord doesn’t fix any problems, house is full of damp and mould, put my rent up £50 a month for no reason. Terrible service from the office staff. Would never rent from these again. Didn’t get my deposit back because I never painted over the mouldy walls.. good riddance!!!!

DONT RENT WITH THESE ESPECIALLY IF YOU HAVE VULNERABLE FAMILY MEMBERS! took us 3 months to get a hole drilled to plumb the washer in not to mention we had a newborn, they also don’t have a care in the world for their tenants or hold any accountability for the state they leave the properties in. they take a holding fee (which is illegal) and don’t even pay it back if your application falls through. our furniture went mouldy from cheap paint peeling and the smell of damp filled the entire house and was impossible to remove. it was so embarrasing to live in such a dump that i wouldn’t even invite family members round, when i reached out for help it would take days to get a response and nobody would ever even come out even just to look. the mould spread to my tortoise’s table and almost killed him, and made me and my entire family ill. they also sent me a bill on my deposit for £150 for things i had already done to the house such as touching up paint and cutting the grass, which they refused to back down from and took weeks to sort out. they also take forever to get back in touch, if you email them on a monday you’ll likely hear back a few minutes before the close of business friday which leaves you waiting until god knows when for an answer again. very very difficult people to work with. should be shut down by the council and investigated as the condition of the house deteriorated so fast it’s borderline inhumane especially with a newborn in the property and when you don’t have money for a deposit for elsewhere it’s even harder to get out. our property manager was also fired (which is a red flag in itself considering we were the first property he managed) and we wasn’t informed that we were now being managed by somebody else until i gave notice of terminating the tenancy. the lack of communication is infuriating. in conclusion, again, DO NOT RENT WITH THIS COMPANY

We had an inspection today by a lady called Emma who was lovely and made us feel really comfortable and relaxed and made it easier, as inspections can create a little anxiety sometimes. Would recommend. They do the houses out modern and lovely and in our experience, the house was fairly easy to get and arrange a viewing, move in date and the move.

I have rented with this letting agent for 1 year and 6 month they are very unprofessional the staff have a shocking attitude have no concerns about there tenants. I tried to avoid interacting with them at all cost due to their reliable attitude and how rude they have been to me and other tenants on the phone or via email. For example they have no urgency when there is no hotter or heating. We have been left a week plus with having to take shower on friends houses due to the boiler. They make false promises about no code of conduct or ethics on how to deal with clients at all. Numerous polite requests and complaints regarding hot water or heating or sink issue fall on deaf ears. They slam phone on people ears and I would strongly recommend that you tried to avoid this people at all costs the whole office has a toxic and aggressive attitude towards anyone who dare asks for there rights. God forbid if anything goes wrong there is no way it will be dealt with any sense of speed or urgency. They assume people times are of no importance have no empathy or respect to rent paying and polite tenants. Theydon’t reply to emails or make fake promises regarding sending someone to sort issues out like the heating sink blockage or plumbing issues. All the tenants felt disrespected and were spoken to rudely. They expect people to pay rent without 1/2 weeks with out heating or hot water.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY ON THIS LETTING COMPANY!! My family have had nothing but hell from them since moving into the property. They don’t let you view their properties in person only on a video. They make it look lovely and new but really they’ve used paint to cover up all the mould and damp that soon starts to appear through the walls after you move in. They don’t do anything about it only paint over it and that’s their way of “resolving the issues” We had a broken window on the house for months. It took them 5 months to eventually come out and fix it. So unsafe as anybody could have broken in! We have now been served an eviction notice due to taking things further with them as they are still refusing to complete any proper works to resolve the mould and damp in the property!!! And also can I just add, they say you fail credit checks but you haven’t!! We rang the creditors and they couldn’t give us a reason as to why my partner had failed it, they said his credit report was perfect. They do this to make you get a guarantor. They are liars and do not care about their tenants at all! Money grabbers!!! AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!

Rented a property for over 3 years. Never had any issues with galaxy letts at all. Had to ring them once due to a pipe issue outside and was sorted within 24 hours. Never needed to ring for anything else. Staff have been police and friendly throughout my time. Would recommend!

well thanks to all these reviews, I've just dodged a bullet, thank you all who have put comments regarding the Agency. I was just about to make plans to view a property, yesterday when I contacted them I found them quite unhelpful especially for the fact I was willing to hand over £1000 to them. So I will keep looking, shame the landlords they cover don't know the truth about the office.

We rented a property on Heneage road with these for two years and had consistent problems. When we moved in the front door didn’t lock properly, we had no green bin and then the toilet wouldn’t flush as well. We weren’t allowed to view the property in advance either and had to sign contracts before accessing the property. We were assured everything was in working order. Full of mould, which the maintenance men would simply paint over. One of the men also told us that the whole downstairs was green due to mould before it was renovated. Hence the problems we had. We left the property in a better condition than we started with, even sorting out the garden which was borderline derelict when we moved in. Kept the grass cut short, even jet washed the pavement. Despite this, they kept nearly £300 of our deposit, claiming the property needed ‘professionally cleaning’ (we went through that house from top to bottom for a whole week) yet they were happy to post a video a day after we handed the keys in asking for more rent than what we paid, and it was exactly as we left it. We even had to clean the gutters and were promised our deposit back. Tried asking for the shades of white and grey paint that were needed to touch up wear and tear ( scuff marks, and sections that had peeled off due to damp) but they refused to give us the brand of paint and shades and threatened if we didn’t match the colour we would be charged for a whole redecoration of the room. Complete rip off, do not use this agency.

Avoid at all costs : they don’t offer viewings in person , only by a video : they never inform you that you MUST have a guarantor otherwise it’s tough and they don’t like or want people with benefits or pets and if they do your charged extra and not informed : there’s no communication from them either when this is challenged. They constantly have houses unexpectedly back on the market as they call it in their social media posts , there is a reason for this … most poor quality and most are tenants who bless them have gone for a home as desperate and these idiots refuse them based on no guarantor or benefits. They should totally be ashamed of themselves and not even call themselves a letting agency, especially when people in this day and age are crying out for decent quality homes. If you’re reading this and in the need of a home for the love of God, do not choose these idiots.

Worst company to deal with. Rented a house from these. All looked nice from the videos you don’t get to view the houses in person. The house I rented damp and mould started within a week. Other things needed doing and when I told them I was always told they would pass it onto the maintenance team. Then the bedroom ceiling fell down due to poor quality workmanship. Even the carpets are cut short in places. They never come out to do any repairs they just rob you off with the same old quote. Will pass it on to the maintenance team

I do not have a good experience with this company. Despite leaving their apartment in a good and very clean state, they are bringing up unfounded issues to avoid giving back my deposit. I do not recommend using this agent.
