Very good experience renting our property via Winkworth in Kensal Rise

From start to end of tenancy Winkworth's in Kensal Rise were a pleasure to deal with. Tenants were found quickly and easily, any issues during the rental period were dealt with immediately by the Michael who manages the properties and communication between all parties was great. Absolutely no complaints with their service at all. Having had a bad experience when working with another local estate it was great to move to this team who were very responsive, dealt with issues straight away and made sure tenant and landlord were all kept happy! thank you

Highly recommend

Most of the time renting can be a nightmare. I was not looking forward to it at all, especially with how the market is but we lucked out with Fabian big time and from our first call he listened to us and found us a great flat. We instructed Winkworths to sell our late father’s house. Their success in securing a buyer was unfortunately offset by a series of instances where they failed to listen, communicate or follow our instructions: 1. There were several instances where Winkworths staff did not fully communicate what had been discussed with prospective buyers and were not transparent with us and this eroded our confidence and trust in them. 2. A surveyor was allowed unsupervised access to the property. We had consented to this, assuming the agent and / or Winkworths would ensure that the house and its contents would be returned to the state in which they had been left and the property left secure. That this did not happen (including a garage door being left open, mirrors and pictures taken down and not put back and furniture moved) was very disappointing and a serious breach of trust. 3. More than once, appointments were arranged and took place without prior notice or agreement. On one occasion we travelled some distance to the property only to discover an architect there, resulting in inconvenience for us.NegativeProfessionalism

They never solving problems.... 0 respect to tenats they are just nice liars it's 7mothns raining into the room, they check it and said it's only raining inside when the rain is stronger, so I'm still using bowls for water for 7 months. Boiler is broken now they made a appointment and didn't come over. When My girlfriend called them they said you have been contacted and informed that we come on evening... Nobody called us. Now they made appointment after week, so you can live without heating.. olso they just coming to check not to fix it....

Winkworth Property Management- Avoid!

Winkworth Greenwich Property Management:I am writing this as a landlord who has previously used Winkworth to manage his properties but have changed agents and wish I had done it sooner!It seems mediocrity serves them well as they continue to get paid their cut whilst the landlord suffers a financial burden for their ineptitude and incompetence.Do not use Winkworth!They just don't seem to care and do not protect or value the landlord or property. No culpability or ownership of their actions. They allow properties to be run down and damaged by tenants. Initially I thought I was 'just unlucky' with poor tenant selection, but when a property is repeatedly damaged, one has to consider other variables and Winkworth property management is a central link.-Poor customer service-Complete lack of knowledge of properties on file: to the detriment of the landlord who could incur a financial penalty as a result- eg British Gas landlord insurance possessed and Winkworth will instruct own plumbers to do gas/boiler safety checks. Then claim a fee for service out of rent. These checks are included in cost of British Gas landlord insurance and so should never be outsourced to someone else or even charged. Clearly this was argued and eventually agreed that I wouldn't incur a fee. As a one off this would be fine but niggly things like this stack up and are a regular repeated occurrence which become frustrating. I don't wish to bore you with the ins and outs of individual cases but there are many. Management is meant to make life more efficient but seems rarely the case. -Often dealing with different members of property management team. No centralisation or continuity of care. Often repeating information or noting that staff have not reviewed the property on their records which holds the information they seek but will call me instead of opening their books/computer folders! Seems pointless enlisting services of property management company if they are just going to call me anyway. Might as well manage it myself.-Poor value for money- get paid an awful lot for very little effect. Several tenancies where cost of refurbishment to property far exceeded the deposit at the end of tenancies thus incurring personal financial cost to ensure let for future tenancies. Properties returned in awful condition at end of tenancy- are Winkworth liable for this?? No, they are not despite it being their responsibility to manage. No incentive it seems to deliver a decent service.I won't mention who I am with now, but they are excellent. Do your research and avoid Winkworth.

Complete waste of time

Complete waste of time. Was trying to rent a flat through Winkworth and was hounded by the agent for an offer. Put the offer in and turned down other flats. Over a week later was told to go look elsewhere. Highly unprofessional and wouldn't use it recommend them for renters.

We had a disastrous start to our tenancy; the property was left in an awful condition by the previous residents and so the first month of our tenancy was not fun at all - many issues to sort out. Luckily, Chloe S stepped in to be our new Property Manager and dealt with the problems in a patient, courteous and friendly way. Despite unpleasant issues in the flat, dealing with Chloe was always a pleasant experience and we are grateful that it all got sorted in the end. In conclusion, we were very unhappy at the beginning of our tenancy but the issues were rectified by the end thanks to our property manager dealing with the (very difficult) landlords. I recommend working with her as your PM.
