Having been a homeowner for a decade, my biggest reticence moving back into the rental market was responsiveness to managing and handling issues that arise. My concerns were quickly allayed with the excellent service received by Winkworth, which extended well past the initial move. Upon moving in, one of the rings on the gas hob wasn’t working. Before I raised the issue, Winkworth got in touch to advise me that an engineer would be arriving to replace the entire hob, following an inspection that they had carried out. Once the hob was replaced, I noticed a smell of gas in the house. I raised it with Winkworth and the same day, a gas engineer arrived to resolve the issue. When there was a leak under the sink and a plumbing issue in the bathroom, Abbi responded immediately and within a day, a plumber arrived to investigate. In the first four months into my 2-year tenancy, Winkworth’s property management, responsiveness, action taken and follow up has been first class. In particular, my property manager, Abbi (Greenwich branch) has been a joy to deal with. She is detailed, understanding and an excellent conduit between me and the property owner to reach a resolution, effectively and efficiently. Stay away at all cost

I used Winkworth to find a tenant for my property and manage it. It has been a horrendous experience and I would recommend choosing pretty much any other agency. I needed to do some work for an electricity certificate and they brought a supplier which quoted me 3 times what it should cost so had to find a supplier myself. Then, due to a "human error" they sent their supplier in without telling me and did the work. My supplier came in and called me that they already did the work and I had to pay him for his time (which to be fair they did reimburse me). However, they then charged me the full amount of their supplier who did unapproved work in my property. Needless to say I terminated the contract with them immediately. They also extremely rude and unresponsive, would highly recommend to stay away.

Terrible Experience

Recent tenancy renewal with Winkworth.An utter shambles. Multiple contracts issued, all incorrect. Incapable of working out the financials correctly. Defensive when challenged with reasonable questions.We have luckily a great landlord that helped us sort it out. It’s criminal the amount of money Winkworth charge and still so many problems. Avoid at all costs.

Belligerent, argumentative, unprofessional, rude

Belligerent, argumentative, unprofessional, rude...I called to invite Winkworth Ladbroke Grove to my house, with a view to asking them to sell it. I spoke with the franchisee who kept interjecting when I tried to speak, refused to answer a question preferring to justify the 'fee' arrangement by referencing the status quo, and who was unwilling to offer me their best percentage prior to coming into my house. Clearly politeness and professionalism isn't part of the service offered by Winkworth Ladbroke Grove and they continue to reinforce the poor reputation enjoyed by the industry as a whole.Quite why Estate Agents feel they can base their business model on an egregious percentage of the value of your home is beyond my ken, and is an outdated, outmoded and foreign principle I am unwilling to work with.

I have been with Winkworth for quite a while now. I found their service to be excellent and they are very professional and extremely helpful. My tenant left during the pandemic, and i was starting to worry as i don’t live where my property is located. One of their agents called Nishi, helped me throughout the whole process of hunting new tenants to all other agreement related issues. Winkworth Plc agency - The worst agency ever

We were tenants on one of the properties they managed at Winkworth Bow Estate Agents.First, they are difficult to come and fix any house issues. They just want you to pay, and they would do their minimum or even less to manage the property.Second, we have left the property long ago, we left it in a rather good condition, for a over 4 years tenancy, and they want to keep all the deposit. It has been over a month and we are still waiting for our deposit.They are not coming back to us, they are ignoring our emails, they are just a bad agency.I have lived in many places with okay agencies, but Winkworth would be the worst. I would not recommend anyone to rent a property with them.Please if you are reading this before renting, find another agency you will not regret it.

Winkworth (Kirstie Barber) will lie to get your business.

AVOID Winkworth estate agents (KIRSTIE BARBER). Kirstie will give you all false info to get you to make an offer and will lie about the property’s history. She will lie and when caught red handed, will lie to you again to cover her first lie. Pure shameless or just another estate agent! Do not use Winkworth as it a very dishonest business that you will keep on chasing to get some answers and will end up wasting your time & money. Just poor customer service & liars.

Winkworth, Poringland. We called them on Friday about the property to rent minutes after it went on Rightmove. They do not offer virtual viewings even if you live 200 miles away. Agent said they are only taking details to schedule offline appointments, took our details. On Monday they said viewings arranged for Thursday but it's all fully booked already (how?) and they will see when to book us for other day. When asked to film a short video when they will be at the property to understand if it's worth a 200 mile trip - they said they can't do this.Absolutely ridiculous service!

Awful experience

I am a small landlord and made the huge mistake of renting my houses through Winkworths and regretted it ever since. The current dispute I am having is over the deposit and who they represent. In practice, they seem to think it is the tenant.....
