Had an appointment to view a flat, 30' before and as I was arriving, they cancelled as they got a holding deposit. How trustworthy Winkworth ?! Great move. The right thing to do is to finish all your appointments with the clients and then decide and take a holding deposit ! Avoid them.

GoogleMy flat has been fully managed by Winkworth Estate Agents for over 10 years. The fully mamanged letting serviced has served me very well, this year in particular. This year, Sarah my property manager has handled a full multi-contractor refurbishment, a difficult and long-running issue regarding a leak from another flat with the council and has settled a new set of tenants into the flat. She has been very responsive, resouceful, and has taken on the stress of these many issues from myself, seeing them through to resolution. She has been a pleasure to deal with throughout. A fantastic service by Winkworth. Thank you !

I've had a lovely experience purchasing my first home with Thomas Syms from Winkworth. He has been very positive, friendly and helpful throughout the process. He got what I was looking for early in the search and really helped me to find the place that was right for me (even though I didn't think it from the pictures at all!). He kept me up to date every step of the way, and whenever lawyers weren't responding he could help move things along quickly. Thank you!

They valued our house and told us they could sell it with an open day within a couple of weeks. Winkworth promised us they had a large list of buyers at our asking price looking in our area, on this basis we decided to agree a contract with Winkworth. The open day never occurred as promised and it soon became apparent that there was no list of potential buyers and within three weeks, Winkworth asked us to drop our asking price on the basis this would attract more potential buyers and we could hold an open day.As we both work full-time, long hours and have two young children an open day was our preferred option which was one of the main reasons we picked Winkworth.Yet again and even though we had now dropped the price, Winkworth were unable to hold an open day and we had a trickle of “buyers” at inconvenient times. Some of these said they weren’t even interested in buying. For example, one visitor said they just wanted to compare the size of the rooms to a house in a nearby street, of course this info is on Right Move.We feel completely let down by Winkworth. We selected them over two others on the basis of their original promise and they completely failed to deliver on this. Had we selected one of the other estate agents we may have sold our house.

Dear Charles, We are disappointed to receive your negative review, as we felt we had a positive relationship with you throughout the tenancy. Unfortunately, as has happened in your case at the end of a tenancy sometimes a landlord and tenant fail to reach an agreement of how the deposit is to be administered. In these circumstances, the dispute is referred to be decided by the ADR scheme that the deposit is held with, which decides on how the disputed amount is to be returned, upon receipt of the evidence presented by both parties. We have now received a response from them how the disputed amount will returned to both parties, which you had a positive outcome. We are sorry that the deposit retuned had to be decided in this way, however the correct process was followed. Please be reminded that the agreement is between yourselves and the landlord, acting as the landlords agent Winkworrth are obliged to put forward the landlord's requested deductions whether we are in agreement with them or not. We wish to best for your new home, and trust you have received the parcel that your property manager arranged to be sent to your new address that had been received at your old address. GoogleWe've just sold our house through Winkworth, we actually bought the same house from them a few years ago and had a positive experience then so decided to go with them for the sale too. Really happy with the experience again, they're a very professional and friendly bunch, quick to reply and easy to get hold of. Highly recommend!

I used winkworth borehamwood...the sale price confirmation was spot on..however i was taken aback with the recommendations and i quote .." I would say to move items in2 your loft but it would b a hassle"..despite my walls throughout my flat are painted magnolia and are in pristine condition...it was recommended that i whitewash the entire flat...finally my flat is cluttered and i appreciate that i need to declutter prior to selling the property...despite this obvious fact the sales negotiator seemed continually irritated and indifferent when i mentioned retiling the kitchen. My personal expectation was that he make reasonable and professional recommendations....in conclusion i found him slightly patronising and not someone who was able to see the broader picture...I also felt he did not know the block of flats at all.

Dear Mr Attwater. We are always disappointed to receive feedback such as yours and therefore the matter has been looked into. It appears that you enquired about the property 4 days after it came to the market however the office responded to your enquiry within 10 minutes of receiving it on Saturday morning at 8.29am. The team asked for more information from you regarding your personal requirements which was accommodation for 4 adults but unfortunately someone in the interim put in an application and offer for the property, and the team had to inform you that the property was not suitable for 4 adults. As you are aware, rental property can be in short supply and therefore demand can be equally very high; as it was in the case of this property. I am sorry that you were not successful on this occasion however it appears that the office acted appropriately given the high demand for the property in such a short timescale.
