GoogleMy experience with Valencia and Mariem at Truepennys was vastly superior to my previous dealings with all agents in the area. They both helped massively with helping me rent a rally nice place before getting onto the property ladder, and I would recommend their way of doing business to anyone!

GoogleSelling a house in Greenwich in Spring 2024 is challenging to say the least. However John and Madison provided what turned out to be accurate initial advice and after a short time on the market (and after several viewings) a very good offer from a buyer with a 4 week deadline. They both assisted us through the stressful (due to the tight timescales) selling process and we are delighted that we managed to sell and move to our new home. I can thoroughly recommend John and Madison who will get to know your property and provide a first class service from start to finish. Thanks guys!!

GoogleFuse box was burning and nothing was done after reporting several times, had to call fire brigade 2 days later, whereby they confirmed it was still a massive fire risk (Truepennys did not act when 15 people’s lives were at risk due to a serious fire hazard). I was put in a temporary room with no power, light, heating during cold temperatures outside (I was freezing - -1 degrees outside) - and instead of helping they ceased to act on my behalf, and cancelled the contract. This left me with no one to communicate with, as they refused to speak to me on the phone from thereon after. I was left in a flat with no power and me and my girlfriend had to sleep at a friend’s house, as it did not seem safe but TruePennys didn’t care. The directors refused to speak to me after agreeing to call me back 5 times - truly shameful and Truepennys should be really disappointed with how they treat people. They never reply on emails or on the phone. They are now refusing to release my security deposit and ignoring emails. This along with mice issues, bathroom smells and dodgy fridges and ovens which were reported for the entirety of our tenancy and nothing was done. However, not responding to a life threatening incident is disgusting by all accounts.

She’s responded to my emails quickly, taken the time to give me a call to explain anything, and has totally gone above and beyond to ensure that things moved swiftly and I found the place I loved. I instructed Truepennys Brockley office to sell my house because I was impressed with Sophia’s personality and communication skills. This is where my praise ends. In my experience, and this mainly relates to Sophia’s colleagues: • No feedback given on approximately one third of the viewings. • Two separate planned marketing initiatives not undertaken as agreed. • Online marketing ceased without agreement (brought to my attention by one of their competitors). • Property details re-published online with information that I’d already asked to be removed. • Online listing published with corrupted or pixelated images. • ‘Weekly’ update calls took place just once. • I was directly asked to ‘move in with friends’ on two separate occasions to allow the sale to complete. Asked indirectly two further times. • When pressed couldn’t describe the steps they were taking to manage the expectations of the buyer; one thing this agent is good at it passing on the anxieties of the buyer and the challenges of their then accommodation.

There was a maintenance issue with the flat on the morning of my move in and the whole team rushed to get it resolved within a few hours. Madison in particular has been super friendly and helpful. We have just completed with selling our first home and the entire process was handled with constant care and attention from John, Madison and the team at the Greenwich office. Thanks to them, our family has been able to move to a new area, but we would highly recommend anyone in this surrounding area to use Truepennys!

Called their Beckenham branch on the 12th Nov to enquire about a rental property that had just come on the market and was told by a lady there that a message would be passed on to lettings. Nobody ever got back to me. Chased it up on the 13th and was told by a lady there (same lady?) “we only have one lettings negotiator covering Beckenham and Bromley. Rest assured you will get a chance to view the property”. Again, nobody ever got back to me. Today (19th) I see that the property has now been let! So thanks to their incompetency I’ve now missed out on a potential tenancy. Utter shambles and I’m going to blacklist this agent if this is the level of service afforded to prospective tenants. **Update** I have been nagged to provide further information by Trustpilot. Not much more to add except that I missed out on a tenancy because of Truepenny's failings. If I make an enquiry re. a rental property that's just come on the market then I expect somebody to have the courtesy to get back to me...

GoogleMe and my partner have just signed for our first rental property together with Truepennys. After no luck with both private landlords & other estate agents being less than communicative or saying they would not accept self employed people, truepennys made the process very easy with clear instruction from both them and the third party referencing team. After being back in the UK from a contract onboard ships, we viewed the property on the Tuesday and the Thursday of the next week we were given the keys. I would highly recommend this agency’s for easy, professional & friendly lettings.

GoogleI was actively looking for a three bedrooms in late last year to January when I came across Truepenny's Estate Agent, Greenwich in mid January 2023 on Zoopla. I called and Valencia picked up and told me someone is already undergoing referencing for the same property, however, she will reach out to me if anything changes. Trust me, I didn't believe her. Few days later, she actually did got back to me and my renting process began. Since that very day till date, the team has been really supportive, they carry you along with every stage of the process, and are willing to assist where needed. I didn't know renting could be this fun until I came across Truepennys. Thank you Valencia, you're such a sweet soul. Mariem, I cannot appreciate you enough for all the support and understanding. I gave proper notice under my tenancy’s break clause, found a replacement tenant who passed references, paid fees, and even signed the contract. But Truepenny’s lost the signed paperwork, apologised for it, and then later denied ever receiving it. Because of their incompetence, the replacement tenant withdrew, leaving me unfairly exposed to rent liability for a property I had lawfully vacated. Despite repeated communication, evidence, and even their own admissions of error, they have refused to take responsibility. Instead, they shifted all the burden onto me, forcing me into legal proceedings. This agency cannot be trusted with important tenancy matters. If you value professionalism, accountability, and proper handling of your documents, avoid Truepenny’s at all costs. Their negligence has not only cost me thousands of pounds but also months of unnecessary stress.

Great experience selling through Truepennys Lordship Lane! From beginning to end the team worked HARD on this transaction as we had two first time buyers pull out due to economic conditions. Despite this, Alex, Wallace and Connor were consistently on hand to offer guidance and support which was very much appreciated. Communication was good and it was always easy to reach someone which makes all of the difference. Super friendly and supportive team that I would highly recommend!

GoogleHad the most horrendous treatment from Senior Consultant David Caruth. All interactions were blunt and borderline rude, and initially of no consequence to me as it’s the property I was interested in. I came in from Amsterdam especially to view this property, he first asked me “can’t you come earlier” - I offered him several dates and times, and he confirmed 3pm on Monday, today. I arrive at the property, try David on the phone twice - it was off. I phoned the office, his colleague complained that his calendar is not viewable and confirmed he was out. He phoned me back a few minutes later - no apology, no acknowledgement of the error, but full of disrespect and attitude. claiming he never confirmed the appointment and doesn’t have access to the unit. He kept repeating it as if I was hard of hearing or something, argumentatively, claiming it was my fault somehow. If you’re trying to sell your house, you’ll never be able to with David and if you’re trying view a house, don’t bother - you’ll receive abusive treatment from David who will waste your valuable time without consequence! Please avoid Truepennys for your own piece of mind!

GoogleI really recommend Truepenny Estate agent if you are looking to rent. Mariem Ben Khaled is one of their best agent. I almost moved out of the apartment but since she took over the management of my apartment, it has been smooth sailing. She is very professional, quick to resolve any issues raised or ensure contractors carry out repairs speedily. She is definitely the best. Kudos Truepenny, you've got a good one there!
