Landlords don’t be fooled by the nice offices and friendly staff. They are ruthless. They take 13 percent + VAT for rent collection only and lock you in for 5 years. It’s not the tenants we need protecting from. It’s the ruthless agents.

I believe that in this profession, letting negotiators/managers need to have a combination of a sales mentality and a customer service attitude. It's a beautiful combination of ruthlessness, honesty and empathy. While searching for that perfect home you start with so many ideas and thoughts just to see them modify, change and transform. In all these stages, imagine having one person who can support you, understand you, has deep market knowledge and inside information, gives you space and time plus is completely honest with you and gets you that perfect place. Teary eyes yet? That's the kind of service I got with Jade Martin during my house search. Jade has been such an amazing addition to this search. She always gave sound suggestions, maintained transparency and honesty, never got too salesy, always listened first and then went on to suggest or recommend a solution/property. Her insights on the area were very helpful. She was completely professional but added a dash of coolness and friendliness to her approach which straight away put me at ease. Among the heaps of gold there was a gem, so rare and so precious. Her name is Jade Martin and you can catch up with her at Foxtons, Cutty Sark branch.

We were honoured to be serviced by the lovely Hafsa Meho at Foxtons Greenwich. Having been looking around at multiple apartments in the past and dealing with a lot of agents, Hafsa stood out as our absolute favourite. She paid total attention to our needs and preferences and was able to fully understand what we were looking for. Personal and yet professional. Well organised. Friendly and not pushy - having her as our agent at Foxtons was a true pleasure, not only thanks to the wonderful flats she showed us, but also thanks to her wonderful personality. I needed a short term let for my mother who would be visiting the UK for medical treatment. Unfortunately I live on the other side of the world (Canada), so I was unable to do much ground work, besides the time difference did not make things easier.After several futile attempts on my own to secure a flat, I was very fortunate to have Jade who works with Foxtons. She was very patient and professional. We had a few specifics and she was able to offer a good range of options to select from. I must admit I had contacted several estate agents who had promised to call back, but Foxtons was the only one that actually took the trouble to try and help out.They actually called and emailed a few times. Short term lets are very difficult to find and I am very pleased with the service we have received. The flat is clean and everything is as advertised. I highly recommend Jade and her team at Foxtons.

Terrible experience

Non-existent communication. Viewings done by an unprepared team: didn't know level of service charge, exposure, if the appliances were new or not, size of the flat or rooms. One claimed we had replaced the kitchen (we hadn't), another that the Hue Lights we installed were staying in the flat for the buyer (we never said that).

We were very impressed by Vicci at the Greenwich branch at Foxtons. She was always accommodating with our need to view properties at certain times in the evening due to work obligations, she would pick us up by car wherever it suited us, and never did we feel like we were being pressured at any point. We were allowed as much time as necessary to view each property, and then we were given room to make our final decision. Vicci was also attentive throughout the purchase process, always responding to our queries in a timely manner and again never putting us under any undue pressure, particularly when our mortgage took longer to materialise than we'd expected. We're incredibly happy with our new flat purchase in Greenwich, and I certainly wouldn't hesitate to recommend Foxtons to other potential buyers in the area.

Terrible service

Terrible service. Very disappointed. I found a short let property on their portal myself, the agent (Amir Abbasian) kept suggesting either awful properties, or ones over my budget. They were very quick to call back and close the deal but once the deal was made, I never once was able to speak directly to my agent Olivia Taylor, or anyone from Foxtons again. Repeated messages and email queries went unanswered. Every two weeks a new person would be in touch and all my queries would be ignored. The property was nice and in good condition but i paid Foxtons 350 pounds for the end of tenancy clean, and was slapped with a 600 pound cleaning claim on my deposit. The property was never cleaned and my landlord claimed the charges from my deposit. at least a dozen emails later, I still don't have a protection document number for my deposit. I was told my deposit was protected. I ws told I would be provided an inventory upon moving in. I was told the place would be cleaned at the end of my tenancy, for which i paid. None of the above happened. Still waiting for part of my deposit to be returned, even though they said it was transferred three weeks ago and should take 5 to 7 days to be credited. I've settled the dispute with my landlord now, even though it is extortion, but it seems even he was being cheated by Foxtons.

Three words - don’t do it

We listed our house with foxtons and the service has been abysmal. There’s been next to no effort or movement with trying to sell the house, no communications with any options etc. You get an account online which shows upcoming viewings - almost all viewings ‘booked’ haven’t actually happened and they don’t contact us to confirm it either. You expect a lot from an estate agent with their level of commission - dont bother.

Alexander Storer from Foxtons Greenwich was a tremendous help during our house search. Among all the estate agents from various agencies we were in touch with, Alexander stood out. He really took the time and effort to understand our search criteria and translated them to an excellent portfolio of properties that he arranged visits to. In fact, Alexander even showed us some houses we really ended up liking in areas that we hadn't even considered. Sam McCraig was great! He is very clear and straight to the point when dealing with any issues or assisting with any concerns. I recently had a problem attending a fixture in my flat and Sam went out of his way to assist and ensure it was done as soon as possible and even offered to standby whilst the fixture was being done for reassurance on my side (since I’d rather be there when something is being fixed) he offered to take my place and that was that. I’d highly recommend Sam! He doesn’t hesitate to go above and beyond for his clients and the clients tenants.

I originally left a 5-star review for the agent who helped me find the flat, as they were friendly and efficient during the search and signing process. However, my experience with Foxtons after signing the contract has been very disappointing. I was told I would receive assistance setting up utility bills through a partner company ("Help Me Fix" or something similar), but I never received any follow-up. Despite multiple emails and phone calls to the agent, I received no response or support. As a result, I had to figure everything out on my own, asking neighbors and my landlord to identify the providers. I didn’t know where the meters were (for example, the water meter is in a locked communal area only accessible through building management). Because I couldn’t provide an initial meter reading, I received a very high first water bill. I had hoped for better post-contract support from Foxtons, especially considering the promises made before signing. Unfortunately, my experience has been frustrating, and I’m not happy with the level of service provided after moving in. Previous review: I had a fantastic experience working with Nazia while searching for a new flat. From the very beginning, she was professional and genuinely invested in helping me find the right place. Thanks a lot for the help!
