Shocking service never answer their phones when trying to ring one day we rang 15 times and left voicemails for then to call us back and they didn't bother to ring back and absolutely shock when trying to get our deposit back from the landlord they couldn't care less and didn't bother helping us I would stay away from shipways great barr rude staff also

Today, 17th October 2020 I held a follow up telephone conversation with Mannhi Hothi from Shipways Great Barr office. I simply asked her to submit to me their terms and conditions for a standard type of house sale. I had already disclosed to her I would be considering the offers from 3 different agents but the names and offers from each would not be discussed amongst to each other, (this is only fair) Mannhi said they have numerous different contracts depending what it was I was looking for. She added they have contract terms lasting 8 weeks, 12 weeks and 20 weeks. This all seemed woolly from the off. I asked why anyone would want to be tied in for 20 weeks, if an 8 week contract could be had for the same fee. She said some vendors don’t mind this term and that Shipways always sell within 2 weeks. I gave her a realistic asking price and pressed her again for the T&C's for a standard contract of sales. I wanted to know the minimum length of time I would be under contract, ie tied in with them, the agents selling fee and who they market the house with , etc, etc. I got the impression she was not prepared to do this and kept glossing around the subject, even offering a no fee deal with an auction type of sale. When I finally asked for a third time to review their T&C's in advance of any signing of contracts she simply hung up !! Not only is this the most unprofessional attitude but I'm now left wondering why it’s so difficult to give a potential client plenty of time to review such an important contract. I would suggest DO NOT sign with Shipways until you have thoroughly scrutinised the contract. Then check others for their comparison.

OK enough is enough. I've been trying to get hold of the sales team to book a viewing on a property they're marketing for over a week now but the phone just rings out. I did once get hold of someone in lettings, although he didn't realise he'd picked up the call so I got 30 seconds of him slagging off one of his clients to a colleague before he noticed me. Well he said I'd get a call back but that hasn't happened either. I feel really sorry for anyone who is paying to sell through this agent. Shocking management.

For me Adnan and Shipways set the standard in service excellence. I was looking for a property for my family and assisted by Adnan. He's communication was clear and straight forward, he went out of his way to keep us updated and even arranged an early viewing. When viewing the property informed us all the Pro's and Con's. I've dealt with a few different Estate Agents over the last few months and this has been hands down the best service. We didn't choose the property in the end but I was really encouraged, my experience lately is that a lot of agents cant be bothered to make an effort or they don't even process details for viewing.
