Excellent help, support and guidance from this team . Our sale has been a rather lengthy one , and for us , quite complicated as far as legal jargon was concerned . But this team from the staff answering the phones during COVID times too , to the reliable response of Scott , and the outstanding support and guidance of Gary the progressor . Scott was continuous in his efforts for finding out the next stage and did his best to keep us informed. Gary gave us that human down to earth touch , and was extremely helpful and professional throughout, you felt like he was your safety net , always pushing to help “you”. If you don’t understand the technical wording of a lot of the form filling and documents that may arise in your move , then you absolutely need Gary on your side. Our sale was a complete nightmare - took almost a year with so many bumps in the road with our buyers! So I had quite the journey in my house move, with the houses I tried to buy... throughout the whole process the team at Bairstow Eves were great, professional, friendly and we even had some fun too! Their persistence in getting viewings and then keeping the chain motivated in some curve ball situations was very much appreciated. Scott, Tina and Kayleigh in the office especially were great. I feel like I know them personally as we spoke a lot at some stages. Samantha was so organised and ‘on it’ as we progressed the latter part of the process and held all parts of the chain together in some pressured moments. Having dealt with some of the agents I tried to buy houses from where I experienced lies, patronising conversations and in some cases sheer rudeness for no reason, I was always glad my agents, Bairstow Eves were not like like and felt safe in the knowledge they were treating me, my potential buyers and the eventual buyers with respect. As a nice final touch, every single one of the team, rang on or after completion to congratulate me.. and those sentiments were lovely and very much appreciated. Had to sell my mum's house after she passed away. So quite an emotional process. Approached 3 different high street estate agents. One didn't get back to me, one merely sent a desktop valuation and quote but Countrywide (Bairstows) met up with us, gave a fair valuation and their terms were favourable. Dealt initially with Andrew Marshall who set things up and even dealt not only with viewings (no one at the house) but also with the guy re the new flooring. Lakeeba dealt with the day to day workings but Andrew was always there if needed. The house was sold within 3 months (incl over the Christmas period) and then we had the Covid 19 crisis. Andrew dealt with our exchange/completion from home and Scott went into the office to hand over keys, pick up paperwork etc Cannot fault them and their willingness to go that extra mile. I chose Bairstow Eves because my first point of contact Andrew Marshall was the only estate agent who told me the cost to sell and gave me a honest valuation from the start. Can't beat honesty in my book. He also put me in touch with a very good solicitor ( Luke Neale PCS ). I was caring for my mother at the time and the team had to rearrange viewings several times for me but were totally understanding and did it with a good heart and never wavered, which I would like to thank them for now,THANK YOU. I know Andy even tidied up on one occasion after a decorator had been in and I couldn't get there, can't ask for much more than that, top class. Scott was brilliant chasing up for me, Lakeeba and Hayley all really good. So if your serious about selling just go and see the team @ Bairstow Eves you won't find better 10/5

I don't mind admitting that I did not think that an Estate Agent adds much value to a vendor in today's property market being that buyers just look online, right? So wrong as once I switched to Scott and his team at Bairstow Eves, I was overwhelmed with viewings and had a fully vetted purchaser at the full asking price within days of instructing BE. We would like to say thank you to Mr Robert Jones who has supported us through our move . Even though his branch in grays was not ours and was not dealing with our sale he took ownership of the whole process as communication had broken down with our branch that was supposed to be dealing with our sale. Rob took it upon himself to not only deal with our buyers sale but also our sale and our new purchase. He was in constant communication with everybody and was a breath of fresh air for us. Rob is so approachable and explains in detail .nothing is to much trouble , its hard to find someone like Rob who actually does what he says he is going to do . If it were not for Robs intervention and willingness to complete our sale and purchase the chain would have broken down . My experience with Bairstow Eves was unfortunately let down by poor communication. The broker I was dealing with suddenly went on holiday mid-process without any prior notice or handover, which caused unnecessary confusion. Attempts to arrange property viewings were often met with no response, which made the process frustrating and unproductive. It’s disappointing, as some of the properties they advertise are appealing but I now tend to overlook listings when I see the Bairstow Eves logo, based on my previous experience. Clearer communication and continuity in service would make a significant difference for potential buyers.

What an experience. From the get go, the response time to any enquiries was excellent. The initial visit and valuation took place within a matter of a few day. I was never left feeling that I had to chase them for an update on anything whatsoever. Inspite of the valuation provided by Bairstow Eves, on my instructions, they were equally happy to list my property at a slightly higher sale price than the valuation - and with no if's, but's or when's. Once the viewings began, I really liked how I was immediately informed about viewings due to take place. These were sent to me by email. More importantly, viewings were often arranged with multiple prospective buyers to visit the property on the same day and at the same time. I believe this helped to drum up interest and create that sense of competitiveness between buyers. Even more importantly, careful consideration was given to my existing tenant who was still residing in my property at the time of when viewings were taking place. Mutually convenient dates/time for viewings were arranged directly with my tenant. Things ran very smoothly. You simply can't go wrong with Bairstow Eves, Grays. I say so because they also provided me with feedback from each potential buyer who viewed my property. The feedback was by email and telephone conversations, when the need arose, Within 2 months of my property going on the market, it was sold. Thank you so much to the team for all your help. One extremely happy customer.

Well, we got our sale. But before then, so many things went wrong, most of which could have been avoided. To begin, (1) Richard (broker) disappeared off the face of the earth whilst trying to secure us a mortgage deal. We called several times and emailed and he completely blanked us, who does that? So we had to find another mortgage broker. Completely unprofessional. (2) The whole team could learn common work etiquette when it comes to going on annual leave, put your out of office notice on so clients won't nag you! Simple things that in our situation could have made us less stressed and wouldn't hold up things in the process unnecessarily. (3) Communication between client and solicitors are generally poor. They could do with simply pick up the phone and talk directly to the solicitors sometimes. (4) We were misinformed of our completion day (again, due to poor communication between them and solicitors) and when we spoke to the team on the day (won't mention names) they just didn't show any compassion, super blasé and just didn't show care. Bearing in mind, we booked moving van, movers, annual leave, childcare plans etc, totally unfair as we are paying them to sell our house! We are their client! Very, very poor service in that situation. Ayse (though she didn't handle our whole case as she took on another) seemed super professional, lovely and hard working. Every time we spoke with her she just seemed like she knew what she was doing and was so reassuring to us throughout. Lastly, our seller's estate agent seemed the most passionate about her job and worked hard to get everything done. She was doing most (if not, all) of the chasing and providing updates for our case more than Bairstows, wished we went with them or another estate agent in the end! Glad we got our sale and our dream house but won't be working with Bairstow ever again.
