We would like to say a huge thank you to Millie Yeomans. As now seems to be the norm, our sale and purchase process was long and complicated, with lots of issues popping up both sides. Millie is hands down the best estate agent we have ever dealt with. Super efficient, to the point, practical... you can tell she is the best at what she does! Communication was always great and timely and she always came to us with solutions and great advice. After struggling to sell our house with another agent Churchods were a refreshingly professional and level headed agent. Our first visit by Jonathan for the valuation gave us great confidence we were bringing the right people on board. Further visits from his team to make sure they understood the property, asking as many questions as possible meant no frustrating follow ups; we were confident any buyer would have the information they needed. We used Oulsnam estate agents in Northfield to sell our property. They came to value the property very promptly and gave us an accurate valuation. Sam was initially involved in the process and when he left the company for further studies, Amanda took over the sale. They were both proactive and reassuring. We would highly recommend Oakmont Property Consultants. Dan exceeded expectations and was available via Email, Telephone and WhatsApp (our preferred choice). His team produced high quality photos of our house and it was marketed on all the major sites. The first family to view made a very good offer and we accepted . Unfortunately the sale did not go ahead but Dan was there to support us and he found another interested family within a couple of days. We have now moved to our forever home and are very happy. Oulsnam was one of the first agents I approached but I was swayed by another local firm; big mistake! The other firm did not know the demographic, did not spend time with the viewers and after 3 months they offered no advice other than to repeatedly drop the price. Four weeks in with Oulsnam, and the house had sold at over the asking price. The buying process was delayed due to poor communication from the buyer's solicitors. Throughout this situation I was contacted by Amanda, reassured and kept in the loop. Near the end of the process, Amanda took many calls from me and answered all my questions. Oulsnam was the estate agent when I bought my first property, and I couldn’t have been happier with their service. Even though the process took almost a year due to a leasehold-to-freehold change, the team was always supportive and kept me well-informed throughout. I have had the pleasure of working with Dan twice now, first when I purchased a property 4 years ago and again this week when I completed both a sale and purchase through him. Dan has been incredibly communicative, helpful and genuinely supportive throughout the entire process. The most recent move took a long time (around 9 months) but Dan stay patient and proactive, nothing was ever too much trouble! When we decided to sell our home we asked 3 estate agents to visit us to value our home. When we contacted Ryan, he was very friendly from the start. He explained everything over the phone, he kindly dropped us an information pack off and then organised a time that suited us to visit our home to conduct the free evaluation. On the day Ryan arrived on time as agreed, he was friendly and polite. He was respectful from the start, even taking off his shoes as he walked through the house. Once Ryan had seen the property he then talked me and my husband through the value of the property. He showed us another information pack, which included what his service would include and costings etc. At no point was Ryan pushy, he was very happy to leave everything with me and my husband and even offered to email everything over to us also. I spoke to a friend of mine who Ryan had sold their property for them. She spoke very highly of Ryan and the support he had given their family. She highly recommended Ryan. When we made the decision for Ryan to act on our behalf, there was no upfront costs, we pay the fees on completion of sale. Ryan was very quick in taking the photos of the property (which really did the house justice), he also included a video and before we knew it , it was on the market and being advertised. Ryan organised Viewings very quickly, he always made us aware when viewings where booked in and always kept in contact with us afterwards to provide feedback. Exactly 3 weeks from our house being placed on the market by Ryan, I am so happy to say we have now accepted an offer. Ryan once again has been so supportive, hes asked for us to send details of our solicitor over to him and then he will now be acting on our behalf. Ryan has stated he will keep in contact with us. This transition has been so smooth. We can not honestly thank you Ryan enough. You have been amazing right from the very start of this journey. You have made this process so smooth and so easy for both me and my husband. Communication is 100%, professional approach is 100% and effectiveness is 100%. If anyone is looking to sell their home in the future we would highly recommend Ryan. I can say with 100% certainty that this is the worst estate agent ive ever used. They dont get maintenance done and treat there tenants like animals. In August, I raised a maintenance issue with them that there was large gaps in the windows which meant that heat was not being retained in the bedroom and would not get any warmer in the room, this would be classed as urgent work but no, I was made to suffer with this for 5 months as even when I move out now its still not fixed properly. I had to wait til November for a cheap fix on the windows which doesn't even do what its meant too. To even get this temporary fix meant that I had to constantly chase them up multiple times and as it hadn't been sorted after months, I lodged a complaint to which the response was, "Dont worry im on this ... Bloody tenant". This shows a complete lack of disrespect and compassion from one of the directors Kerry Watson, as well as the owners also seeing this message and not even apologising on her behalf either. Landlord also entered property illegally without giving any notice to myself which was giving to them - lack of communication there. In November the property above mine was being renovated which meant that it was just so much noise all day everyday, no heads up from the estate agent about this who also manages that property, showing a severe lack of compassion. Which leads into the next issue, of leaking from the flat above which was reported in November as there ended up being a case of damp to my property which is all over the living room, reported to the estate agent, still not fixed to this day 2 months later, chased up multiple times however still not fixed and damp is also on the interior walls but they have still failed to fix it. Damp was also noted on the inventory when I first moved into the property so they were well aware of it and still failed to fix it even after having it confirmed by more than one person. Structural damage is also another issue that was raised due to such large cracks in the flat itself, the walls were cracking everywhere and nothing done about that. The landlord is a very well off person called Luke Fryer and just won't pay for anything, window contractors and other handyman suggested getting complete new windows for the property as they were that old but he refused to and just used a 50p fix on tape, all about money with him and not caring about his tenants. They also expect the tenants to clean the property to even better than what it was when they moved in. When I moved in there was stains all over the floor, such a big one in the lounge, thought that would of been cleaned before moving in when they said that it was professionally cleaned but no, there was multiple stains. Cooker didnt work, replaced with the cheapest one ever which was so bad and didnt work effectively. In regards to returning the deposit, I still haven't received this back or any communication back about it after being told I should hear back from them last Tuesday which was still a long time after moving out. To then hear back today from them today on 2/2 from Jess saying it’s out of their hands even though they have assumed responsibility for the property and told me it should of been done last Tuesday with no further communication which shows how much of a joke this company is and doesn’t care about there tenants. Overall such a bad experience with them, very poor service and no sense of compassion, they dont care if the property is kept in a good condition and if your rents paid on time, complete disrespect for their customers which is shocking from a chain of branches. Would never go back there again, they have also had to be reported to the council many times throughout the time I was living there as well due to the way they were failing to complete maintenance work.
