GoogleI was a tenant of Simple Lettings and my experience with dealing with them has been poor at best. From the very being I had issues with them as when moving into the property notifying me only a day before that the move in would be £200 more than expected, when finely getting the keys and going into the property finding that everything I was told would be down wasn’t there was exposed wires hugging for the walls and wallpaper. The property suffered from very bad damp and mould on which I had to get the council involved for them to do anything. The people I had to deal with were rude and uncaring of the properties conditions especially Meghann & Steph Do yourself a favour and DONT rent from Simple Lettings

GoogleThis is probably the worst letting agents that I came across. Went to visit a property with them and made an offer, after chasing them for an answer to my offer, they finally told me that the landlord was willing to sell and not rent. Fine, I asked them to see another property and finished making also an offer on that one, they told me that I needed to wait for a couple of days to receive an answer on my offer because they would need to make some more visits to the property... if I have done an offer, why are they not considering it? Why are they waiting almost a week to for more visits if they had already my offer? Cutting a long story short, even after the visits and receiving my offer last week, I still not have received any reply to my offer. Doing business with them seems to be a nightmare, they don't seem honest in the process so stay well away from them they are Terrible.
Thank you for your review/feedback, while we do not wish argue with your opinion, we must offer our defence. The door was still open and we were working on arranging a rental for you (in this difficult climate with low stock & high demand for rental properties). Re the 1st Landlord deciding whether to sell (which is completely out of our control), we did tell you his decision will not be fully made for 10 days, but we would come back to you if he decided to rent it. Leaving the door open to a deal. As we advised you straight away at the time, we already had other people enquire about the 2nd house BEFORE we sent it to you, so we have tried to be fair to everyone, by giving them a chance to apply/be considered. The Landlord of the 2nd property has not finished considering all interested parties yet (which is also out of our control) so the door was still open for a deal on that one too. We have been completely transparent and honest in the above dealings - they are the facts of the process. Seeing as you have lost faith in our integrity in the meantime though, maybe it is best we do not proceed with either property. Thank you anyway, we wish you good luck in finding your new home.

GoogleI’ve been renting with these guys for nearly 4 years and I’m just tired of having to ring about the mould and damp in the property thousands of times.. not only the staff is dead rude and don’t care about the situation, they try to pin the blame on you. I would defo avoid at all costs. I’ve attached pictures of the state of my bathroom wall!
The electrician has been trying to gain access for over a month to fit a stronger extractor fan to help with your mold issue - you wouldn't let him in. There have been multiple instances where it has been cleaned and treated with anti mold additives then decorated - this will happen again once another new extractor is in. You have also had a dehumidifier provided along with other improvements over the years. We are here trying to help the issue for you and the Landlord. You have to please help us, help you.

GoogleThey found me a house at short notice when no other agency in this area could. Since then they have looked after me very well. Whenever I have needed help, with utility companies or house repairs, they have responded immediately. They seem to be a very kind and caring company and I recommend them to anyone seeking a place to rent.

Customer service and satisfaction was exactly what we required but didnt really expect it after dealing with other letting agency. GoogleWouldn't deal with again...after being sold a re-furbished pub, we had a lot of snags which was understandable but not to James from Simpleton lettings. He gave us an assurance that all snags would be sorted, just shy of 5 months on and we have received an email saying that all snags are now completed...this without anyone visiting the house and several ongoing snags still incomplete it's very disappointing... I would suggest to avoid anything to do with simple lettings as well as Victoria Hadfield developments, they have not delivered on so many aspects which they agreed to. Overpromised underdelivered-Pathetic
Thank you for taking the time to leave a review for simple lettings and sales. I feel the experience you're not happy with is with Victoria Hadfield Developments and not in fact the sales agent. Following our meeting shortly after you moved in to your home, I said we would work with you to sort any snagging issues with the builders and this position hasn’t changed. We were of the understanding that all snags had been completed as the last email we received concerned a draughty window which was sorted, no other problems were mentioned. I have spoken to the builder this morning and he says he’s not got a list of any outstanding issues. Please can you provide this to him so these can be resolved.
