GoogleAs a landlord I rented a property for 19 years through Simple Lettings and they were consistently excellent - great communication, quick to respond to the tenant and easily handled any required work using the local trades. They also acted as agents when I sold the property and the service was equally great. Thanks to Christina, Jo and the rest of the team.

GoogleI have dealt with Simple for around 15 years now, both for letting and for selling the letting property and I would just like to say that the team are brilliant!! Christina always dealt with the letting of my property in a very friendly and professional way and when it came to sell that property the lovely Jo was so understanding of my situation and dealt with everything on my behalf! The sale has just completed very quickly and efficiently thanks to Jo and the team. These two ladies are an asset to your company and my only regret is that now my connection with Simple Lettings and sales has had to come to end! GoogleChristina and the team looked after my apartment initially as a rental property then assisted on the sale of it. It was hard for me to manage the apartment as I did not live locally. The service I received from them was exceptional and took away a lot of stress from my side. They were always on top of everything and great at communicating with me and keeping me updated. I would have no hesitation to recommend them.

GoogleUnprofessional. Rude. My comment is not in regard to the situation with the tree. It is in regard to my emails being ignored, which I find unprofessional and rude. I sent the email at your request and you didn’t respond at all. It is also in reference to the way I was spoken to on the phone by a member of your staff. They were rude and sarcastic. As I said to your manager when he came to the property, I understand that you are not tree surgeons, or responsible for felling the tree. However, the people who cut down the tree said they had been sent by yourselves and we have nobody else to contact in relation to the situation. When I got in contact to resolve it you ignored me and when I phoned I was spoken to rudely and dismissed. You can pursue legal proceedings for defamation but you will be wasting your time as my comment is not false or inaccurate, your staff were rude to me. Can you also prove that your reputation has been damaged? You can’t stop people from posting reviews that you don’t like. Maybe work on your staffs customer service skills instead?
We take your comments seriously and must correct the record. While Simple Lettings acted as the estate agent for the property, we were not the owners and had no involvement in the decision to remove the tree in question. That work was arranged independently and not by us. We are an estate agent, not tree surgeons. Additionally, your intention to install a fence in a communal yard is unrelated to the services we provide, and not something within our remit or control. Any alterations to shared or communal spaces would need to be addressed with the property owner or relevant authorities, not our agency. Your review contains several inaccuracies, and we are currently seeking legal advice regarding the defamatory nature of your comments. We ask that you amend or remove your review to reflect the facts.

GoogleDealing with this agency was an absolute joke. I called ahead, told them my ETA, even warned them I might be a bit late, they assured me it was totally fine. Of course, when I arrived, the place was completely deserted. Not a single person showed up. They basically left me standing there like an idiot. Honestly, unbelievably unreliable and awful to deal with.
We’re sorry to hear you were disappointed. Our team member was at the property at the agreed time and waited as long as they could for your arrival. Unfortunately, no one can reasonably be expected to wait 45 minutes for a viewing, especially as our office closes at 2pm on Saturdays. We do our very best to accommodate delays, but on this occasion, the appointment could not be extended any further. We wish you the best with your property search.

She truly went above and beyond, frequently reaching out to the vendors and solicitors when delays occurred to ensure we met our deadline. GoogleI would share my personal experience, I have had no issue at all and I have been in one of their property nearly 3 yrs, all the issue is quickly resolved on a link via email. I reported an issue in the morning and I had someone to look at it the same day. Thank you so much Christina and Team

GoogleLike lots if other people I was hesitant when selling my property in choosing a regular agent or one if these DIY sort of agents. I chose SL because they were local and nearer than me to do viewings. I cannot recommend Christina highly enough for the way she worked to sell my property and in fact found two buyers, she went far above the call of duty, kept me informed, chased up solicitors and was just on top of her game right through. GoogleAgreed a viewing for a property waited over 30 minutes past the agreed time no one showed up. Edit: In response to the below, I was parked outside the property from around 4:40pm, and there was nobody present. This was the correct address, and I have since been told via email that they do not do viewings at the time which I had agreed with them via email.
I was stood outside the front door of the property at all times, between 3pm and 5pm welcoming viewers. You obviously went to the wrong address Marcus.

GoogleWaste of time and money. After 6 months of being on the market, the owner of the business decided he no longer wants to sell the property. This was after the offer got accepted and the house was sold subject to contract and I paid for the solicitors and mortgage broker fees. A company I wouldn't trust.

To clarify, while the decision to no longer proceed with the sale was made by the property owner, who is also our company director, it was not taken lightly. Circumstances changed unexpectedly, and we understand the impact this had on you. In recognition of that, the seller took steps to offer compensation as a gesture of goodwill to go some way towards the inconvenience and costs you incurred. We’d also like to reassure you that the service provided by our team in marketing the property, managing viewings, progressing the offer, and supporting the sales process was carried out to a 5-star standard, entirely SEPARATE from the seller’s final decision. We appreciate your time and effort throughout, and we remain genuinely sorry that the transaction couldn’t be completed.

GoogleWe let our house out through Simple Lettings for several years after repeated bad experiences with another local estate agent. Simple Lettings are good communicators and worked with us to get issues resolved quickly. We have now sold the house through Simple, thanks are due to the team there who were tenacious in keeping communication flowing between all parties and keeping the process moving. Would recommend for both letting and sales.

GoogleI have rented for 12 years and Simple Lettings are by far the worst experience that I have had. The house was dirty when we moved in with several gas problems that took 2 months to resolve. They even suggested that we leave the gas fire pilot light (flame) on permanently. When the poorly installed splashback smashed across the kitchen, the letting agent suggested that we had broken it by throwing things around the kitchen. We also had no heating upstairs for 6 weeks. IF YOU ARE IN THE UNFORTUNATE POSITION TO RENT OFF THESE PEOPLE TAKE MULTIPLE MULTIPLE PHOTOS WHEN YOU MOVE IN AND CONFIRM EVERYTHIGN BY EMAIL. It has just taken us 5 month to get our deposit back.
Thank you for your feedback. We do find negative reviews based on deposit disputes to be an unfair representation of our service as a whole and the great work that we do every day. Deposit disputes actually cost the company time and money to complete, so we only do them when necessary for the Landlord. The delay was with the DPS, not us. We are sorry that you have reviewed our whole company and the service provided in a negatory manner (in response to deposit deductions being requested) when the deposit is held with the DPS who are an independent party that decide what deposit deductions are fair or not. It really is a small part of the transactions we have had and not a true reflection on our company or service as a whole, just that we have a disagreement on the standard of the property after a tenant vacates.

GoogleThey don’t go out of their way to help. Maybe find another agent. Make sure you can afford to lose your holding deposit as it is technically a holding deposit and you won’t get your money back if you don’t proceed.
